very nice relaxed hotel shower good, room spotlessly clean as were all the public areas very good cooked breakfast ,furniture could do with updating but for the price cannot complain would like to go back in the summer

good hotel 

We stayed here for a wedding Friday to Monday , we booked 4 rooms all of them were clean and comfy loved that we could be close together while having our own front doors, we will definitely be using this as our go to hotel for when we visit our family during the summer it’s literally 5 min walk to the sea front., all the staff were lovely and attentive. On the Friday we all went for dinner at a Nice little Indian restaurant 5 min walk away food was really good, the hotel staff even delivered our roast dinner to our room on Sunday. We was so worried about staying away from home for 3 nights with our 1 year old but she settled in so well. The wedding was so well organised, and the food and drinks were very reasonable prices. And breakfast was spot on even had fried slice, see you guys soon xx

Ps, The rooms had a lil hallway space perfect for a suitcase or a pram

The car parking is ample  and the staff friendly and helpful, the decor in the hotel and the rooms is dated but doesn’t detract from  a very clean hotel with comfortable beds. Our bathroom was dated but clean.
We had dinner in the hotel and had a very succulent steak , cooked to perfection. Breakfast was also well prepared and filling. 
Overall a good value if a little need of  refurbishment. No we did not see Benny there’

A trip down memory lane but well worth a visit

Wasn't expecting much, however, great room, a little tired but clean, shower towels, good room service, parking directly outside, patio doors, freebies, 400yds from beach. Great service from everyone. Good breakfast, nice evening bar area,  attentive staff.

My daughter stayed  through May and Ajay and the team (Karen and Dawn etc) were amazing. They knew I was concerned as she was hours away from home due to work.  They took my concerns very seriously and were amazing.  I stayed a few times with her too and I can’t fault anything.  They were quick to react to any concerns we may have had, no questions asked. They ensured she had lunches packed and ready for her.  It was her home away from home. We can’t thank you enough.  Ajay,  sorry Akash, we didn’t get time to talk to you as much but nonetheless, service was great.  Staff were amazing, food and drink was great too.  Location was perfect for what we needed.  In comparison to the Royal in Sheerness… there is no comparison.  Thank you guys. 😊

Home away from home

Been staying at the Abbey repeatedly for family reunions over the past 20 years or so.

It has always represented good value for budget standard of accommodation . Rooms are basic but have everything you need, including parking outside your front door.

However, decor is very tired, mattresses are in desperate need of replacement. Walls within the accommodation are all very thin, so noise travels!
Heating is very patchy, although there was plenty of hot water

Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good quality and served efficiently. Free Wi-fi is available throughout hotel but isn’t very fast and keeps dropping.

The time has come now to reinvest in updating the room decor; a complete bar/lounge facelift; and new bathrooms. The hotel is beginning to look shabby throughout .

Very relaxed and functional venue that offers weddings etc. Recommended, but go with realistic expectations on style.

Good value

3 night stop visiting family in the area. Great that I was able to park outside our room. The room was basic but ample room. Shower cubicle awkward to get in an out as it's off the floor and limited door space. Tv lost signal on an off and needs updating. To be fair apart from sleeping we spent little time in the room. Breakfast was good which selection of cereals an juices along with a full English and several other hot choices. Staff were friendly. Looks like a place a lot of contractors or even sailors use.

More Motel than Hotel

Room was very dated . TV didn't work , toilet hardly flushed. Only had 1 bath towel in the room went to reception to get another one , was asked if I needed it straight away !!!!  Odd . 
Breakfast was ok but my pancakes were cold . 
The good points were huge carpark and 200 yards from the beach . 
It could be a nice place after a paint up .

What a gem!  Fab room. Staff couldn't have been more attentive.  Clean and tidy, nice big TV as quite often too small!  Dinner was lovely and wife had home made pancakes - unexpected and lush.  Best place on Sheppey to stay. Gus & Christine

Amazing

Good accommodation and very helpful staff good food and beer reasonabley priceds situated about half an from Maidstone and other attractions and about ten minutes from local beach and other local shops and restaurants
