Stayed one night bed and breakfast as visiting a friend who lived locally. Very comfortable room with clean and well fitted bathroom. Bed very comfortable. Plenty of tea/coffee available in the room.
Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of cooked options. Especially enjoyed a grilled kipper sadly not found very often on breakfast menus.

Ideal hotel for exploring Sidmouth and the area

Arrived Early in the car park to at least 12 Electric Charging Points ,Beautifully maintained gardens and walked through the main entrance to greeted by a smiling face at the reception to be told my room was ready.
I had booked a single room which was over looking the gardens ,included in the room Double bed,en-suite,tea/coffee tray and Television all very clean and in good condition.
Breakfast had lots to choose from and the hot items where cooked fresh and served to you at your table.
All in All a fabulous 4 nights away visiting my family in Sidmouth and I may become a regular at this hotel ,truly comfortable experience.

Well what a find 5 Star.

This was our fourth visit to Hunter's Moon and once again we were not disappointed. The room was spacious, well decorated and immaculate. The food was excellent and we ate in for the five nights of our stay. There was a good choice of dishes for starters, mains and dessert. 
The hotel is very relaxing and peaceful being next to parkland. It also has pleasant gardens within the hotel grounds which guests can enjoy. There is plenty of car parking on site and several charging points for electric cars. The staff were all very friendly and attentive and couldn't do enough to make our stay special.
I would happily recommend Hunter's Moon as a great place to spend a holliday, and can't wait to return next year.

An excellent place to spend a holiday.

We loved this hotel. For starters its situated in beautiful gardens just off the Byes river walk yet still within walking distance of Sidmouth sea front.  It's easy to find, parking is free with electric chargers. As you enter this Georgian house there's a real wow factor. Impressive architecture with high ceilings and beautiful furnishings.  Large lounge and dining room.

Our room was immaculately clean and pleasantly decorated. En-suite was like new! Powerful walk in shower. Crisp white linen bedding and fluffy towels.  Had the most comfortable bed and very quiet.

Staff were friendly and helpful.  Food delicious.  Wonderful yummy English breakfasts with fresh fruit salads, croissants, etc.  What more can I say? I'm still waxing lyrical.  We met a couple who have been visiting this family hotel for 60 years! an impressive accolade.   Thanks Martyn, Julie and staff for making our Silver Wedding Anniversary such a memorable occasion.  PS When visiting Sidmouth check out the Toy and Model Museum - good fun.

A wonderful Georgian hotel

Lovely hotel where you genuinely feel like a guest. Very relaxed atmosphere with the guests' lounge making it very easy to socialise with other guests but plenty of space to find peace and quiet if you prefer your own company. Very comfortable room with spotless bathroom. Ample parking with electric car charging points in almost every space (may have been EVERY space but I can't be certain). Lovely garden and grounds, good food with great service from the plentiful and friendly staff.

Wonderful place to stay for a relaxing holiday.

Superb Hotel in a wonderful location. The food was again excellent with a good menu choice. Catering for all needs and allergies.
The staff were friendly and helpful and made us and the dog very welcome as usual. 

Third stay this year says it all. 

It was a pleasant stay with friendly staff and excellent food a good selection from the menu and a comfortable room with a well laid out bathroom, patio doors opened to an area with tables and chairs. Good selection of wines to go with the food. Can’t wait to come again would recommended to our friends and family.

Great experience

V comfortable stay in a quiet very green area. Food was wonderful. Our room on the ground was perfect, although the view at the back isn't great. We would recommend the evening meal as it was good value for money. It is only 10minutes walk to the beach so you can leave the car at the hotel. Plenty of walks locally, although rather hilly either side of the resort. Daily guided strolls from the tourist info office. Some great gardens to look at too. I didn't realise the resort had so much to offer if you don't want to sit about all day. Staff were wonderful. 

Relaxing 2 nights stay

Location was excellent very peaceful but close to town and seafront.
The hotel staff were all friendly, helpful and courteous.
Breakfast was excellent quality with  a variety of food options.
We hope to return when we are next in the area.

Autumn short break

Our third stay at this wonderful hotel.  Six days of superb food and comfort in this lovely old resort.  Fabulous menus at night with loads of choice and variety.  Every course was different on each of our six days and the breakfasts were equally good.  A good mix of traditional and more adventurous dishes on all of the three courses at night, with proper dishes of vegetables and potatoes.  We stayed in room 14 which was great with our dog.  A large twin room, with French doors opening out onto the large garden and patio, and also very close to the rear car parking area.  We will certainly ask for this room again.  The elegant dining room was full every night and coffee and mints were served in the beautiful lounge area.  Dog owners are restricted to a designated area of the lounge but interestingly, many guests without dogs opted to sit in this area too!  Sidmouth is certainly the classiest resort between Salcombe and Bournemouth and Teignmouth and Budleigh Salterton are also really nice.  Bertie Wooster, Jeeves and Hercule Poirot come to mind!
