The staff were incredibly rude, the lesbian couple started swearing at me and my two children. We booked a room with them then when we got there we were told there were no rooms. So we were forced to go to another hotel and go home. When we went out of the hotel we were trying to call up other hotels but no hotel had vacancy, the two women started harassing us slamming our car doors and calling us racist slurs. Absolutely disgusting place to go I would never go to the hotel again and I would never go to Skegness again. Disgusting people.

Disgusting staff and hotel

Went for a lads weekend to sunny Skeggy, and where better to go than JJ’s. Our room was located in the penthouse suite, AKA the conservatory and one of the beds was resting on paint tins and others you could wheel into the corridors. Couldn’t shower properly as it was so small and had to crouch inside, to top it off the bathroom light didn’t even work. Crack dens have been run better than this place.  All in all I would happily stay here again. 

A 5* Getaway!

Bedding had period stains and brown stains on it. Very dusty & mouldy bedroom and bathroom. Shower was cold. Mugs were dirty.Not even worth staying there for free. I would avoid staying here if you end up holidaying in Skegness.

Absolutely vile place, avoid at all costs!

I won’t beat around the bush with this review because over the years I’ve stopped in some absolute sh#t holes what range from 18-30s hotels in Ibiza to contractors digs in Newcastle BUT nothing comes even close to this filthy dump.

Where do I start! The room itself was absolutely disgusting, I had to sleep fully clothed and put a t shirt over my pillow due to the state of the stained bedding also the mattress didn’t even fit on the bed, there was also a disgusting kettle and 2 filthy cups in the room what I wouldn’t even use to wash paint brushes out in.

The bathroom, when entering we was greeted with a skid mark down the back of the pan and there was that much hair dirt and food on the floor you would of been able to fill a dust pan, clearly not been cleaned for weeks/months.

The hallway absolutely reeked of weed And cigarette some plus there was several large holes in the walls and missing spindles out the stairs etc.

Plenty of nice accommodation close by so don’t chance this place, if it wasn’t -3 outside I would of slept in the car and I’m not kidding.

i phoned jjs on 29th dec 2019 to see if there was a double room available for one night when we arrived walk in front door i shouted hello nobody came.eventally a young man came to show us our room .bed was too big for what seemed to be a single room with double bed in shower handles on door broken.sheet not clean on bed.we went out came back then got an emergency call to go back home the man i spoke to said he would give me my money back by bank transfer on the monday i gave him my bank details said it would take 2 days for it to go back in.but low and behold nothing still a week later.do not use this place its not as it makes out to be.smells of drugs when walking downstairs.i paid £30 on arrival and someone had already been out and spent money.you should seriously look into this dirty smelly place

Looked around for a hotel forgot it has half term, found some hotels jjs and other down the street. My partner allowed me to walk in first and i opened the door and RAN out. My partner concuded at this then went in first. Hallway was depressed smell like dead animal. Told my partner lets go before someone shows up. My partner found a guy on the phone and we asked about rooms, she showed us one of this best rooms . And when we asked how much, our reply was "how much do you want to pay" i replied as little as possible (obviously) i said he will do the room for 20 quid. We said we were just looking at one other and left... obviously didnt return as it was disgusting. Smelt of drugs... the next morning we went out and passed j js and it looked rough. Someone repairing his car outside. Proper rough place to go... how is the hotel inspectors not closing it down. What happened to food hygiene. What happened to basic human rights, toilet was dirty and bathroom was yellow, and smelt. Enter at own risk. Glas we walked away and went to the star across the road.

Natural selection needs to hurry up

As soon as you walk inside the front door the whole place rekes of cigarettes. The room we were allocated to:
The bottom sheet did not even fit around the mattress.  The sheet was stained so was the mattress. The duvet cover looked like it could do with a wash.
One mug was on a window seal along with a kettle a desert spoon and a dirty container containing a few tea bags and coffee. The net curtain was filthy!
My husband had to pull the toilet chain after the last person.

We walked straight out!

We would not stay there even if you paid us. We actually lost our money as Booking.com would not refund us!

Disgusting

I come down to Skegness for a weekend and stayed at jjs decent price. I got welcome by drunk man called Patrick who said he was the owner. There was a rough looking group of young lads and girls in this pool room drinking and smoking and the hotel smelt of weed. The manger was arguing over the phone and being aggressive. There was music playing till stupid time. The room was small bed was uncomfortable and floor was dirty. Defo didn’t feel safe as it looked like a crack house with the amount of lads and girls in and out of the little room what was called the office. Didn’t end up staying another night no refund.. never again.

What a sh!t show

Although in the last 3 months there are a couple of positive or average ratings for this place... PLEASE trust what the majority of people have written over the last year.

It’s dirty and most stuff is broken including dirty bed sheets, broken beds, missing bulbs, ripped wallpaper, non functioning radiators (full on heat or none at all) and dangerous conditions in the bathrooms.

There is no security.. the front door is open, there is no reception, anyone can wander in and take a key from the row.

The advertised bar is used as a laundry.

There is no food provision and no WiFi.

Random people check you in and always have a story about “helping out the owner” ... these people look like they are homeless and or alcoholics.

When you realise you have been conned no one is available to ask for a refund and if you manage to track them down and speak with the openers you will get a hard luck story and promises of refunds... these will never arrive.

Can’t warn you any more!


Dirty Dive... no refunds.. look elsewhere

Had to give 1 as it wont let me give zero. No parking - you have to find a place on the street. Handwritten sign on the door says no refunds. 2 girls leaving as they had asked for the heating to be put on & were told no. Dirty entrance, but thought the room might be better. Wrong!! not just dusty or grubby - actively dirty. We walked out & found somewhere else. WOULD RATHER HAVE SLEPT IN THE CAR.
