We go with the family here regularly. Its such great value for money and the staff are always really nice and attentive. You can tell they are trained well! They have some great themed nights too which are always good fun. I will keep coming back for sure!

Always great value for money!

Had a really nice stay, Room comfy and clean, hardly heard any noise from the other rooms and I had the best  behaved dog in the next room to me. Breakfast was excellent and served freshly cooked, met up with my parents for an evening meal which was really really nice, service is excellent and as a solo traveller I felt very safe staying there.

Solo traveller

This last weekend our families stayed for our Son and his Fiancé wedding, the family and staff at the hotel were so helpful and breakfast was cooked beautifully and hot. So all our needs were met before and after the wedding, was a great base for us all. The rooms were comfortable and lovely and clean. It was so good to accommodate all our family and friends at this hotel, made final preparations for us all so easy.

Exceptional food and service

Staff were exceptionally kind and helpful with assisting my 80 year old Mum after she had a fall (off-site). Thank you very much to everyone from Haigs for looking after her, we are extremely grateful. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas.

We stayed in the accessible room apart from one little glip with the tv everything got sorted out 
The meal we had on the Sat night was gorgeous and then breakfast on the Sun was lovely over all this is a lovely hotel and we would stay here again if we were in the area

Fantastic Stay

Very good friendly staff, Mia always welcoming with a smile. Rooms good, always nice clean and same can be said for the bathroom also has a nice friendly bar.
carpark is always available and easy to get out of.

Great place to stay

I arranged an overnight stay for a coach party of 23 French people on our way to Scotland as well as on our way back and everybody was so happy with the rooms and even more with the meals (dinner and breakfast).
It was actually our second visit as we had had an overnight in 2010 too and each time we had a very warm welcome. Moreover we can say that the rates are very good value.

Happy memories

We very much enjoyed our stay with you.  We booked a superior double and were allocated room 18.
A little dated but great to have both a shower and a bath. Nice toiletries also.  Bed comfortable but the weather was very hot so did not sleep well.
Breakfast was very good also.
If we had one complaint it would please put a handrail on the few staits leading to room 18.
Very tricky to negotiate them with a new knee earlier this year. 
All in all would not hesitate to recommend Haigs.


Very good

I think this is the third or forth time here with friends (16 of us!) evening meal overnight and breakfast. It s not expensive or the Ritz but what you get is honest service food and accomodation. The bar is incredibly well stocked when larger places carry rubbish beer and mediocre wine and the food is exceptional quality and value.
