Had sunday lunch with some friends .
Must say as we walk into  reception we was warmley greeted   by a lovely Gentleman ..
Who I later found out he was the owner .
Paul .He did ask if we wanted a drink.before lunch which we did 
The bar is lovely beautifully decorated. 
We then went in to.the restaurant for lunch .
It's was absolutely lovely everything included and the cauliflower cheese you could just carry on.eating ..
Thank you to all.the staff for looking after us. You are  amazing..

Amazing Sunday Lunch

A friend and I went to Nuthurst Grange for a sandwich lunch.  The setting was delightful and the service very attentive, but the food was most disappointing.  The meat in my roast beef sandwich looked remarkably similar to the pre-packed roast beef sold in supermarkets.  My friend’s cheese sandwich contained quite a thin slice of cheese.  My cappuccino was lukewarm.  I didn’t complain at the time because I didn’t want to embarrass my friend who had suggested that we went to Nuthurst Grange.  I shall not be returning.

Delightful place but disappointing food.

Perfect stay again ,this must be the 5 th time staying and always a pleasure it’s a beautiful relaxing hotel .we had a lovely quiet room always perfectly cleaned your housekeeping team are brilliant.
We had a few drinks in the quiet bar and then had a lovely dinner in the beautiful restaurant.
Your breakfast staff are very attentive and the breakfast was delicious.
We will be back again soon .many thanks .

Perfect stay

We had a lovely one night stay at this fabulous Hotel. Accommodation, restaurant & staff are all excellent. Met several couples who were all on their return stays ...say no more! We will back & hoping to stay a little longer as this is also a great place to stop whilst travelling from south to north.

Excellent Stay Over

I rarely write reviews but this was necessary so that no one else has to experience what I did staying at this hotel. I booked a double room to stay for one night ahead of an important client meeting, where I really just needed to get a good nights sleep. My expectations were not high, just a comfortable bed and a quiet room. However, neither of these things were met. To write a balanced review, I’ll talk through the good points, and what made this the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had. 

Positive: 
- Beautiful setting 
- Lovely bar and restaurant 
- Great food and service at bar and restaurant 
- Manager was very helpful but ultimately unable to resolve the issues 
- My colleague’s room was lovely so the bad points I’m about to outline do not apply to all the rooms 

Negative:
- Room 2 on the ground floor next to bar and reception had a paper thin wall/door, meaning the proximity to bar/reception made quiet enjoyment of the room impossible.
- The toilet (look at the pictures) is next to a giant window on the ground floor next to the entrance to the hotel. Yes, there is a blind that can be pulled down but it really didn’t reassure me of privacy when the light was on 
- The bed cover was a very itchy thin blanket (our family dog has a better dog blanket!). Reception then informed me that the hotel does not provide duvets and I would have to make do with that (once again look at the pictures). They brought a couple of alternative blankets but they were no better, and were not duvets. 
- The room was freezing and there was no thermostat to adjust the temperature so had to be cold and uncomfortable all night under the super thin blanket.
- The ironing board was broken and just fell apart when I lifted it out of the cupboard. I then had to makeshift put it back together, left it standing when I finished because I was not risking it falling on my foot again. 
- The room had the most awful smell which gave me a really bad headache by the morning.
- The room is a “family twin room”. I had booked a “double” but the receptionist gave me that room instead and told me I could not have the room I booked and pre-paid for as the hotel was full, and that I had been “upgraded”. And that I couldn’t get a refund so I could stay elsewhere.

Overall, absolute fail on all the key elements of the “hotel” aspect of the property. However, the bar and restaurant are absolutely lovely.

Great restaurant, awful hotel

We use this hotel for our team meetings and get togethers. I can safely say the team love this hotel. The hotel rooms and views are stunning. Staff super helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Food delicious. Conference rooms lovely. We will definitely be coming back. 

Fabulous stays

My now Husband and I had our wedding reception at Nuthurst Grange on 30 August 2024 and we couldn’t be more thankful for their exceptional service provided. Magda was our wedding coordinator leading up to the wedding; Magda was friendly, professional and extremely accommodating. She was also very easy to make contact with. 
On the day of the wedding, the staff were brilliant, the venue was spotless and the food was fantastic (we had the BBQ).
Whilst all the staff were great, Grant (and another senior female colleague) in particular made the day run smoothly and were always on hand to support and keep things moving. Grant even came over to put a fresh glass of Prosecco in my hand during the speeches when mine was empty! It’s these small touches and attention to detail that made all the difference. Thank you so much to all the staff at NG - we’ll definitely be back for a night stay/meal in the future.

Faultless wedding day!

Attended a family wedding which was held in the Stables part of the venue. It was secluded, private & very welcoming.
The area was spacious, aesthetically excellent, multiple seating areas, indoors & out with a well stocked bar.
The staff worked hard & kept all tables clean & glass free.
The dance floor area was good, as were the band & the guests all enjoyed it.
It is a lovely setting, very picturesque & is an excellent wedding venue.

Fantastic Wedding Venue

My visit to Nuthurst Grange we visited for a drink & sandwiches one lunchtime I ordered a cheese & chutney sandwich on granary bread it was very disappointing the bread was very ordinary and cut into four with a piece of lettuce with a bit of dressing & cost £10-50 I have had better sandwiches for less money I would have expected better bread & a nice bit of salad & maybe a few crisps for the price we have had Sunday Lunch here & liked it & love the place but they need to make a better sandwich.

A disappointing sandwich

My wife and I had a very pleasant night at Nuthurst before a matinee in Birmingham the next day. We stayed in a four poster room that was well-appointed and very comfortable. The food was absolutely top drawer. Literally the best steak I've ever had! Every course was delicious and the dinner service was excellent. We had a very enjoyable breakfast before checking out the next day. Highly recommended.
