Excellent - attended a titanic murder mystery with my friend. What a fabulous time, nothing was too much trouble.  The food was delicious. Best roast potatoes I think I’ve ever had in my life.  The breakfast was absolutely delicious also.  The hotel was lovely and warm, lovely view out of the bedroom window! Would definitely recommend

Truly wonderful

With family we enjoyed a murder mystery evening. It was professional and absolutely fantastic.
Whatsmore the facilities in the hotel were second to none. The rooms were clean bright and cheerful and the bed extremely comfortable. Jayne and Gary hosts of the hotel l met were extremely accommodating friendly and frankly made our stay happy and relaxing. And ohhh l nearly forgot to highly recommend the high standard of meals provided. A most enjoyable evening. Don’t miss the experience.

Murder mystery evening

I have passed this place countless times over the years. I only live six miles away and after our one night stay last night I’ve realised what a little Gem of a place it is. 
Excellent accommodation, clean spacious room with one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept on, and I’ve experienced a few! 
The food was excellent and the staff were extremely accommodating and attentive. It felt like being on holiday with old friends.

Gem on the doorstep

Stayed here beginning of November. Was met by  Nigel  he was very friendly  and check in was very efficient. He advised the hotel closes in November but he was available if we needed anything. We stayed in Wheal Premier Shepherd Hut with hot tub, all I can say is it was absolutely amazing,  spotlessly clean. Fully equipped. The bed was so comfy  weather was awful but inside the hut it was very snuggly and warm loved listening to the wind and rain outside!  Amazing walks nearby. The village is in walkable distance too   Would highly recommend staying here.  We did not want to go home.

A special place

An outstanding example of a highly professional family run hotel. Rooms and facilities are impeccable, service/food superb. Hotel commands stunning views and is conveniently located within walking distance of beach and town.

The beacon hotel is excellent

A two night break with friends for our Christmas Party (14 of us). Gary and all the staff who looked after us were all excellent and made us feel at home. The food was all very tasty and plentiful, and the 'Christmas Dinner' on Saturday night was particularly good. The breakfast has a good choice of options and everything was well prepared and presented. Our room was very comfortable and clean with views over the country side.  Would definitely stay again.

Warm welcome, family and staff are all very courteous, nothing seems too much trouble. 
Immaculate facilities and rooms, food is all  well prepared, breakfast is one of the best we’ve tried.

Fabulous stay!

Everything about this hotel was perfect. We were made so welcome from the moment we arrived and throughout our 4 days stay all the staff were very attentive and friendly. Our room had beautiful views across the surrounding countryside and was immaculately clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom. Unfortunately we weren't able to sample the evening meals but really enjoyed the breakfasts we had in the dining room overlooking the countryside. I cannot recommend this hotel more highly, absolutely nothing to fault. We would definitely book to come here again when we are next in Cornwall.

Lovely hotel set in beautiful location.

Lovely hotel.  Bright cheery rooms, with lovely views.  A warm and friendly welcome on arrival set the tone, with everything done to make this an enjoyable stay.  Good food - both at breakfast and evening meal, where there was a good choice for vegetarians.  Highly recommended.

Warm and friendly hotel

Beautiful surrounding area around the hotel and grounds .All the staff were very attentive nothing is too much trouble. Evening dining in the hotel is to be highly recommended the chef there created some lovely  starters ,mains and the puddings are delicious. Our room  had a great view across the open countryside and was clean and spacious with a good size bath with shower also. Tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary water and fudge in fridge by reception. In all a great place to base yourself to do south  west Cornwall.
