The room was spacious and very comfortable and well equipped. The food was amazing one of the best breakfasts I have had. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We were walking the coastal path with our dog. All three of us were made very welcome. Excellent value for money. Would highly recommend staying here to anyone.

A fantastic place to stay. If you don’t stay here you will have missed a highlight of Fife

The owner is the most rude person working in hospitality I have had the pleasure of meeting.
Don’t be disappointed or shocked if you get an unfriendly welcome.
Not dog or human friendly.
The beach is beautiful and worth a visit, but I would suggest you pass the Kingsbarns Inn without visiting.

Very unfriendly, don’t visit.

Stayed two nights for my birthday with our dog Archie. Lovely Inn with a warm homely feel. Our room was bright, clean, with nice quality bedding, toiletries etc. As we were staying for two nights was surprised our room wasn't serviced the following day. We had dinner the first night which was lovely. We had nice wine to match our food and it was very relaxing. Would have been nice to have had the fire on as dinning room was chilly in the evening and at breakfast. Our breakfast the two mornings was delicious, beautifully cooked and well presented. Annette and Maxx are such a lovely couple and obviously love what they do, their gorgeous golden retriever Harris is a delight and socialises with guests and their dogs. It's a beautiful place to stay with so many original features including the working shutters in the room. We've stayed at the Old Course, St Andrews and the Fairmont many times but I'd definitely recommend you try the Inn at Kings Barns, it's warm, homely and full of history, charm and a lovely couple that are passionate and making you have a wonderful stay. Can't wait to return. 

Charming Inn and a comfortable stay.

Great place, highly recommend

Excellent comfortable accommodation, produce is locally sourced and meals are delicious and of a high quality. Staff are very friendly. Overnight stay at the Inn  as visited Kingsbarns Estate/gardens which is a  short 4min drive  away from the Inn. Ideal location for visiting St Andrews, Crail  and resorts in area. Would definitely visit in future when in the area.

Fantastic place to stay. Owners and staff all very welcoming and lovely to talk to. Rooms were very smart and cosy. Had a brilliant sleep. The food was amazing, well prepared and presentation was top class. The attention to detail on all above was just to perfection. Will definitely return again.

First class in everything.

A very enjoyable stay at a comfortable, welcoming country inn. The accommodation is very good, comfy beds, great shower, everything you would want provided, a home from home. Food and beer excellent, special mention to Annette the chef and hostess. A busy place, hope this continues in a time when a lot of hospitality is struggling. We will return I hope!

Superb country accommodation.

This is a delightful Inn with excellent accommodation. The rooms are very comfortable with good beds and a seating area to relax. Hosts are warm and welcoming. Food is first class, breakfast is cooked to order and one of the best. Evening meals offer a good choice and are all a delight, deserts are sumptuous. I would definately return.

Fantastic Stay

Horrible treatment from the staff. We stopped by for a drink after being for a walk with our dog. We hadn’t ordered yet and our dog became surprisingly unwell. We obviously would not have gone in if he had been unwell the whole day. We tried to clean the floor but the member of staff kept rudely talking about the mess we had made and shouting at us to get out. We were going to leave anyway but wanted to clean up before we did. 

If you advertise as dog friendly you have to accept that sometimes these things may happen and to treat us so horribly when we were only trying to apologise and clean up is appalling. Would never recommend this place to anyone. 

Not dog friendly - or friendly at all!!!!

Came in to meet with friends staying there.  However, met with most unpleasant bar man whose attitude was discourteous, rude and abrupt. The reaction from the Inns dog was much more welcoming. He should look to the mutt for example.  If i hadnt ordered a Guinness and was there to meet with friends, I would have left immediately.  There was no one in the bar, nor any queue to be served yet his attitude towards an 8 year old child and the parking of a car was completely unnecessary and made one want to leave as soon as possible.
Not a welcoming place.
