We stayed one night - rooms were very clean and although shared bathrooms again first  class - it’s student accommodation so it’s not the ritz, but we loved it and will definitely come back. One point - the breakfast once one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had - first class range and again first rate staff- I’d have no hesitation in sending my kids here knowing they are getting looked after like this.

Fantastic location and great staff

I really enjoyed staying here. The single room was on the ground floor which helped. It was spacious with great wifi connectivity as well. Window opened to let in fresh air.

The welcome from the staff was very warm and they were helpful throughout. Location is amazing as was the tariff. God the breakfasts were huge and if you wanted you could have had more. 

I'd thoroughly recommend staying here and saving yourself a lot of money, yet still having aa brilliant experience

The visit to St Andrews

Stayed here with my grandson for 3;days ,
5 minutes walk from beach and golf course .
Excellent service with beautiful buffet breakfast each morning .
Staff were fantastic and couldn’t do enough to accommodate us .

Outstanding service

Budget accommodation, £72 for twin room, basic but clean, bed comfortable.  Downside of sharing bathroom and shower facilities (possibly 6 rooms per facility). We were first to use showers in morning and they were excellent, may not be so good if a number of people used them before you!
Excellent breakfast which increased my rating from 3 to 4 stars, ample selection from continental to cooked !

This is an off term time place to stay in St Andrews.

Very good central location.

It is a budget place to stay and the rooms are not en suite but for the price paid, this is really not a hardship.

The internet signal is better than my own at home in Essex, it is university standard.

The breakfast is outstanding, plenty of choice

Cheap place to stay outside term time

Very well situated to visit all parts of the magnificent St Andrews.  Basic accommodation, clean and well maintained,  all you need. Breakfast wonderful,  everything you could possible think off is catered for. Very friendly and accommodating staff. A great place to stay.

excellent place to stay

The residence needs a renovation, especially the rooms. It looks like they were left in the 80s. They sound spacious, but also with high ceilings. The sea-facing ones have excellent views of the Old Course (golf course) and the West Sands (sand). That's if you don't get a foggy day. The best of all is the buffet available for breakfast. They have a huge variety of products (yogurt, fruits, cereals, juices, cafes, bakeries, eggs, bacon, etc.). It's not uncommon for university residences to have breakfast, at least not for non-university residents. There is no reserved parking, but next to the bus station you can park the car for free.

This is very cheap accommodation in a student hall of residence so room is very basic without en suite or TV. Had room on top floor with an amazing view overlooking the golf courses and West Sands. Breakfast is in a wood panelled refectory in the basement, and is truly excellent. Buffet has everything you could wish for a full Scottish breakfast, including smoked fish on demand, as well as the usual cereals, fruit, cheese, cold meat. (Coffee not to my taste, though). Location is ideal, being a short stroll from the bus station, and not much further to the beach or to the other sights of St. Andrews.

Top view and amazing breakfast

Well, it's a definitely 'YES' place. I stayed here for one night, but let me say you, the rooms are enough for solo travelers, located conveniently, a fifty yards away from the bus station, close to the city centre. Comfortable beds, well furnished  with in-room basin. You have a Tesco nearby and of course, most of the University campus is stone's throw away. Highly recommended for solo travelers. 

A great place at a great price

It's an austere student residence, which in the holiday season opens as a hostel to the general public.The rooms are spacious but spartan, and depending on where the bathroom is located you can have it a little far away... We weren't able to connect to the wifi.It's served by the students themselves... The breakfast is the most remarkable... Very varied and of good quality.
