We had a lovely stay at the Old Mill the staff were excellent very helpful & friendly. 
The Room was excellent the attention to every small detail was a credit to them. Having a small fridge in the room & fresh milk available daily for tea & coffee
Was Very thoughtful. Shower & bathroom were very spacious & well equipped. Breakfast first class choice for every taste. The Old mill Bistro again excellent, food wine & drinks served by extremely professional ladies. The Old mill is well situated for walks & trips into Padstow. Had the weather allowed the gardens looked very inviting with seating areas, hot tub, ornimental trees & of course the mill wheel. notes on the history of the original mill were mentioned & read by the  inviting fireside chairs.
Would not hesitate to visit again.

First class stay at “The Old Mill” Little Petherick Near Padstow

Cosy accommodation full of character, spotlessly clean quiet and comfortable. Hosts were lovely and gave advise where to visit. Parking is across the road at £2 a day. The gardens were beautiful and great for photos. Couldn't get the TV to work!
Amazing thing here is the food, we actually cancelled our reservation at a top Padstow restaurant having eaten here on the first night. Breakfast was also hearty and delicious, bravo!

Fantastic Accommodation Great Service Delicious Food!

This is a lovely old mill sympathetically converted to a B & B in a village close to Padstow. It is directly opposite the church which had a flower festival during our stay adding to the traditional village ambiance.
The owners and staff are friendly and do everything to make your stay good.
We had a fairly small but comfortable room in the newer ( Victorian) extension. Being offered fresh milk for the room instead of UHT was a welcome touch. 
The bus into Padstow stops very close to the property although the times may be variable . We found it a real bonus not to have to drive  in or out of Padstow for our dinner on our first night.
The second night we ate on site at the Bistro - a good decision. It operates in the dining room of the Old Mill House. There is a varied menu and everything we had was delicious.
We would certainly recommend a stay here.

Beautiful B & B for a Cornish break

The house is beautiful and has kept most of the original features. Set in a quiet location by the running river. The rooms are perfect for a short stay  with well kept furnishings and clean bathroom.
The restaurant is spacious and clean, minimal decoration keeps the feel of the old mill.
The owners are welcoming & friendly and certainly know how to add those special little touches to make your stay special.

There were no negatives about this property or location, except the buses are rarely on time so you can expect long waits . 
I would only recommend that there are options to change pillows as we personally found them uncomfortable. We will bring our own next time.

Perfect for short break

We stopped by chance, after a wet camping trip, and couldn’t believe our luck! If you like history; you’ll love this place, steeped in original features and furnished to a high standard. Also, the beautiful gardens overlook a tranquil river

Would definitely recommend staying here. Room was beautifully furnished, food was excellent and welcoming owners x


  · The Old Mill House is situated in little Petherick, just 5-10 minutes outside Padstow. What a little gem. A grade11 building which was build as a Grist mill. The room are traditional to the building and has excellent furnishings. Gardens are fabulous sitting areas to chill and unwind. The bistro, What can I say. I would love to eat there every evening as the food was exceptional. As were the hosts. Fabulous value for money and would recommend a stay to anyone visiting the area. Well done to the staff and proprietors. Can’t wait to come back.

The old mill house -exceptional-tasteful- high standard 

Wonderful stay at this charming house. Oodles of charm and very well appointed. Spotlessly clean. Luxury towels etc in the rooms.  Sherry? They have thought of everything. Very relaxed friendly hosts. Made to feel very comfortable. First class accommodation. Will return.

Top Class

We stayed for 3 nights at the end of November and are moved to write a report to let others know how nice this B&B is. On arrival we were greeted warmly by Debbie who was putting up (very tasteful) Christmas decorations. We were shown to Flour room which was attractively decorated and had a tv and tea/coffee etc and biscuits. There were big white fluffy towels and the shower room was spotless. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept well. The breakfasts, which you order the evening before,  were amazing!  Each morning there was an attractively arranged bowl of fruit salad with yogurts to go with it if desired. My husband had something different each day for his cooked breakfast: full Cornish (veggie version), Eggs Royale and Eggs Florentine. I requested croissants. There was a good selection of cereals on the dresser and plenty of toast with jam, marmalade and honey. We requested oat milk which was readily supplied. Debbie's son runs the Bistro in the evenings and we had one of our meals there. Again we would highly recommend it. All the family were very friendly and happy to advise on the area etc. Just across the road in front of the building is the start of a 2 mile walk into Padstow along the Camel estuary. We did this one day and got the bus back and were dropped just outside the Old Mill. Buses run hourly.
We will definitely return!

Really lovely

We spent several nights in the Wheelhouse room, using it as a base to explore Cornwall. A great central location for doing so. The hosts were welcoming and responsive. The room was tasteful and comfortable.  The breakfasts were varied and tasty. Dinner at the Bistro was really outstanding with delightful local fare crafted into succulent offerings. Wine pairings were a treat!  And when we weren’t eating on site, Padstow is a quick drive with several good options for dining.

Cosy gem

We came here for dinner. The staff are polite and the ambiance in the bistro is lovely. The garden is pretty by the stream but the management need to check the covers on the swing seats as they are covered in bird poo. Definitely need washing - every day if necessary to give a good impression.
Our steaks were ordered well done but came out medium. I specifically asked if the chef could cook the steak well done as some chefs don't like cremating the meat. The staff did say they would change them but we decided to eat the steak as it was which wasn't a big issue but what was annoying was they tried to make excuses saying it was because the steak had to rest in the oven. I went to catering college myself. Resting a steak distributes the juices (mainly to the top) - it should not change it from a grey colour to pink through the middle. I would recommend this place but you may need to insist on your steak going back on the grill if you want it well done.
