What was good

Good location., takeaways readily available nearby as we did not want to use the restaurant where food was limited choice.. The reception team were always welcoming and obliging. Bathroom was clean. Breakfast was plentiful.

What was bad

Hotel is dated and needs an overhaul. Building creaks/water pipes tick all evening and then do the same as they warm up in the morning, starting very early and going on until 2am (in our room). Kept waking me up. The pool receptionist was barely awake, “no service with a smile” and there were no signs warning about no lifeguard. Also the changing rooms lockers dirty/unlockable. Staff/maintenance staff walking between pizzeria and hotel reception tend to stare at you in the pool - most disconcerting - and why isn’t the window to the pizzeria frosted glass, as otherwise people eating their pizza dinner can sit and watch those in the swimming pool? No privacy.
