We were in our motorhome down with the seasonal pitches and the pitch deteriorated due to the weather.  We were leaving early to get to our next destination we asked for help. The staff were excellent and provided driving ramps to allow us to drive off the mud.  Thank you

Muddy pitch

I am compelled to warn others about the abhorrent service and treatment my family and I received at Acorn Parks Ltd., under the management of Rachel Nation. Our recent experiences have left us utterly appalled and disgusted, and I feel obligated to share our ordeal to prevent others from enduring similar mistreatment.

For the past 26 years, my family faithfully chose Acorn Parks Ltd. as our vacation destination. However, the past two years have been marred by unacceptable experiences. In 2022, despite paying for a high speci caravan online, we were shockingly downgraded upon arrival, with no explanation offered. When I confronted Rachel Nation about this blatant deception, her callous response of "tough" epitomised the utter disregard for customer satisfaction.

The following year, our stay was even worse. Despite booking what was advertised as a high-spec caravan, we were greeted with filth, including dirty bedding, dead insects, and a repugnant odor permeating every room. When I voiced my concerns to Rachel Nation, her dismissive attitude and suggestion that we leave if we were not satisfied further fueled our frustration and disgust.

Adding insult to injury, when attempting to arrange a private booking with an individual renting their caravan on the park site, we were informed that they had been instructed not to rent to us, despite the caravan not belonging to Acorn Parks Ltd. This discriminatory behavior solidified our belief that there is a personal vendetta against our family.

It is unconscionable that a company can advertise and charge for high-spec accommodations only to provide substandard and unsanitary living conditions. The deception and mistreatment we endured are utterly reprehensible, and I implore others to steer clear of Acorn Parks Ltd. until they rectify their deplorable practices and demonstrate genuine concern for customer satisfaction.

In conclusion, Rachel Nation and Acorn Parks Ltd. have proven themselves to be devoid of integrity, empathy, and professionalism. Save yourself the anguish and disappointment by avoiding this establishment at all costs.

Holiday complaint

We stayed for 4 nights over the Christmas 2023. Booked 2 Lodges Luxury ones.
Our stay was everything we could have hoped for.
The room was spacious and extremely comfortable with a beautiful view across the countryside
Bathroom was also spacious. Jacuzzi spa was amazing, very hot, were able to have a dip in the evenings. 
The farm was peaceful and most relaxing.
Can't recommend highly enough
Definitely deserves a high rating.
We have already booked to return later in the year.

Excellent 

This is the 8th year we have been here, we hire the best lodges with a hot tub PL38 was this years choice. Every year is good but this year was spoilt by our lodge being full of flies.
We did mention it to reception twice,  we would spray at night and then clean up in the morning,  this lasted all week with the quantity falling each day.
Most disappointing thing was staff did not call to see if the problem was resolved,  by the time we left there was just a few left.
However it did not stop us booking for next year.
Lots of coastal resorts in east reach,  fishing is good and lodges well equipped. 

Usually great, this year no so.

Arrived the 26th October out 10 years wedding anniversary. Except that the caravan only have 3 pots to cook in and a frying pan to small to fry 2 eggs it must be lawn mowing weekend. Today the second day of our wedding anniversary the second day lawn mowing just like the day we arrived. Today nice weather but everything closed in the caravan can't open the patio doors because of the noise. Also can't go to the cossy café because it's closed. Not that nice quiet restful weekend away. Very dissepointed about the noise of lawnmowers for the second day wonder what tomorrow.

Nothing was too much trouble for Sam the sales manager. 
I told him we had got married the week before and he went out personally and got some Prosecco and chocolates for our arrival. We had a lovely tour of the park. 
It was so relaxing and despite us looking at the park with a view of purchasing a caravan. It was all on our time in terms of meeting and discussing what the park had to offer. 
They really care about your experience and have already followed us to ask me for feedback. 
We are definitely looking to buy there next year when we are in the position to do so. 

Amazing break

I was due to travel from Liverpool to Meadow Lakes today, 28th August, with my husband, children & two young grandchildren, only to be contacted yesterday at 2pm to be told the accommodation we booked, The Farmhouse, should have been blocked out for booking & wasn’t available!!! I have noticed from other reviews this isn’t the first time Meadow Lakes have done this. Can you imagine how disappointing this was, my two young grandchildren had their bags packed & ready to go. Thank goodness that cottages.com did their best & managed to find us alternative accommodation in Devon, which we had to pay extra for but the accommodation is superior & as it was the 11th hour we had no choice!! Meadow Lakes I suggest you sort your administration team out to avoid any more families facing the same disappointment!!!

Disgusting Customer Service

We stayed at Meadow Lakes in Goldfinch 1, a pet friendly Luxury Hot Tub Caravan. Not all holiday homes are pet friendly here though and we were a little worried in case it was noticeable, but other than a faint smell of dog on the sofas when it was warm you wouldn’t know that it is pet friendly - the caravan was spotless.  The accommodation itself was excellent, with everything you need for a self catering holiday including a large fridge freezer with plenty of fridge and freezer space. Plenty of pans, trays and utensils are also provided. The WiFi worked really well and there is a smart tv in the living room which allowed us to access iPlayer, YouTube and Netflix etc by signing in to our accounts. There was a TV in the bedroom too but there were no channels tuned to it. There was also a mini welcome pack with emergency kitchen towel, dish sponge and a small pot of washing up liquids, and some extra bin bags too. The hot tub was a nice extra. Overall the park is incredibly peaceful and relaxing, with ample space to wander around, fishing lakes and access to an outdoor heated pool if you want, as well as extra facilities like a cafe and animal area. There are amazing views when sat on the decking or sofa and the large windows are great for enjoying them. The reception also has a small shop with a good selection of things you might have forgotten, although prices were high. The park is only a 10-15 minute drive from Asda, Tesco or Morrisons so plenty of choice for supermarkets. Staff were friendly and welcoming. As a side note, the welcome pack suggested that booking direct is cheaper but we paid significantly less than the prices advertised on their website by booking through Hoeseasons, so it’s definitely worth checking online.

A couple of negative points stop the review being 5* (it would be 4.5 if possible!). On the first morning of being there we reported that the shower wasn’t draining quickly enough meaning we couldn’t shower for longer than a minute without the water level rising and causing it to flood. We were told this would be looked at but the issue wasn’t fixed and there was no offer to rectify this in anyway - it caused issues with day to day showering as well as rinsing to go into the hot tub. We were woken early on the Thursday by lawn mowers, and then later in the morning we were disturbed by the jet washing of the caravan next to ours  which lasted around an hour and was incredibly loud! We ended up going out to escape the noise in the end. the curtains in the bedroom are very short so let a lot of light in - we were lucky that the sun didn’t rise directly onto the bedroom window but this could be an issue in other accommodation if the curtains are the same (which they likely are). The hot tubs also face onto the road and are overlooked by neighbouring caravans. It would be good if there was a screen provided for people who are more self conscious or would like some privacy when in the hot tub - as the tubs are sunk into the decking there are no views when in them as you’re so low! There is also no where to hang wet swimwear/towels so a clothes airer would be an ideal addition, as on wet days you can’t hang them over the decking fencing.

4.5* out of 5. Great holiday with a few areas for small improvements.

I have to say our stay was Excellent, I would stay at Meadow Lakes again......my husband and I are from New Zealand visiting. The accomendation was amazing and the food was yummy. Special mention to Hope & Catherine who were so helpful and bubbly and there Customer Service was freindly and professional.

Amazing stay......would highly recommend.

We are locals and my boys love this campsite for the fishing. We have been a couple of times now, staff are lovely and site is very clean and well maintained. Best bit was the nightly visitor of a hedgehog in my tent! My teenage boys fished all day whilst I relaxed by my tent will be definitely visiting this site again xx
