Stayed in a newly refurbished caravan and couldn't fault it. Had requested a caravan at the front facing the sea and that's exactly what we got. Amazing views from the caravan out to sea and of the coastal path. Caravan was very well equipped and comfortable. St Bees is a great location to explore coastal Cumbria and the Lake District.

Superb Caravan and Location

We have just returned from a holiday at seacote park st bees Cumbria . Caravan on arrival was spotlessly clean spacious very well equipped. We have stayed at the caravan park many times but this holiday we were blessed with beautiful weather and stunning views from caravan . We will definitely be returning soon . Lovely birthday surprise holiday to seacote caravan park st bees Cumbria

Lovely place to stay. 

Myself, my partner and our pup came to stay this Easter. 

Was a short notice trip due to some boat maintenance require on his boat in Whitehaven.  The site was happy to accommodate another small caravan, however told us it would be on the grass at the back as there was no space any sooner. 
We asked if there was any cancellation if they could move us to the hard standing near the sea. 

When we arrived we had been moved to the front and the view is lovely. 

The site provide a map and instructions on how to use the electricity. The sea front pitches are no awning as they are hard standing and on gravel. The pitches are a great size however for us with us having an old caravan we have to push it into place making it harder if already full. 

Toilets are a short walk away and require a code to access. The toilets are clean and tidy and the showers work well. 

Laundry room is very clean and tidy however are £5 a wash and £5 a dry and you need tokens from reception. 

The walk from the pitch to the beach takes less than a minute and the beach is lovely and very clean.  It is a pebble beach and is set out very nice. We took a pebble with us as we are going to the end of the coast to coast later this year. 

There is a shop and cafe on site which is dog friendly and very nice. While we was there they didn’t have any magenta which was a shame but we will be back in May so will get one then.

Amazing family trip. Lots to do, lots to see and plenty of relaxing

We took our motor home and stayed in the touring area.    Generous pitch with our own water tap, and very quiet away from the main site.     Just a short walk through the site to the beach.    Pebbly, but sandy when the tide goes out.    Fabulous place for swimming, paddle boarding etc.   Only downside was the toilet / shower block.   Very dated and needs upgrading.

Unlike most reviews on here I come from the prospect of a camper! I can not comment on the state of the caravans. 
I arrived on a very blustery late spring evening. I was shown where the tent field and shower block was, and told I could choose my pitch. 
I was a bit disappointed that the tent field had no beach views (the campervans and some caravans do), but given the weather I was pleased to have the shelter of a hedge! It was great to have the whole field to myself, I was surprised there was no one else there. 
The location is great, 2 mins from the sea and Coast to Coast path. I wanted to walk to Whitehaven to see the birds on the cliffs, and the amazing red cliff formations. 
I managed to get a hot drink at the cafe which is between the Park and Hotel. Classic seaside cafe! I didn’t have any food but the views over the sea would make it a nice place to shelter in horrible weather. 
The toilets were fine - clean enough for my one night stay. Don’t expect too much for £10pn.
It’s just such a shame to see a Park and village with so much potential. This is a classic case of the North/ South divide. 
If you book with this in mind I don’t think you can complain.

So much potential

Hired a static van for a week to walk the coast nearby. The site doesn't really have any amenities but is right on the beach, fine for a quiet stay, but no good if looking for pools and entertainment. 
The van was fine, it would have been nice to have had a room thermostat as we were constantly turning the heating on and off, otherwise everything worked and the van was clean
I can't comment of things like the site showers etc as we had no need to visit these.

Quiet Park

We came back yesterday from this park. We must have been really lucky as our caravan was really nice with fabulous views! Not sure what others were moaning about as caravan was great! We were on the Beachcombet site which was great.  The site could probably do with a bit of tlc, ie planters & baskets, but overall pretty good for the money

Pretty good for the money

Literally just back today. Was camping for 3 nights.
Let's start with the FACTS......
Toilets.....the loos/sinks/showers are great, they are spotless (photos attached) yes the window sills &extractor fans could be doing with a good clean, however I wasn't using those. The toilets/sinks & shower cubicles are spotless. If cleaners are short on time then I'm thankful they concentrate on the surfaces I am using/touching. The amenities room is sufficient, 2sinks, 3washing machines and a dryer. Yes it's £5 per load, but still reasonable. Yes there are the cobwebs but again everything I touched was very well cleaned.
TENT PITCH...... massive field at back of the site, yes it is far away from the toilet block HOWEVER everything is available to view online, so if you don't fancy a 3min walk in the night, don't book the site. 
The tent area 100% needs some kind of lighting. Yes we have torches but the area is pitch dark.
The ground is sodden (yes it's been raining for a few days) however unfortunately yesterday and last night was the tail end of hurricane Nigel and we were completely stuck. Thankfully, I'm assuming was a park employee, got a tractor to pull us out.
There were no winds forecast, they were for later in the week, so we chose to go ahead with camp as planned. But hurricane Nigel was a bad boy......we were trying to remove possessions from tent into cars at midnight, light from our head torches etc,only salvaged beds before the 5man tent went flying. We phoned hotel nx door, same owners, for emergency help and we're given the reception number to call after 8am!!!!! We were stranded with no way of contacting park owners. Website tells you in an emergency to email them, we did & got a reply at 7.30 at saying "I gather we have solved your issue"........after we spent the night in the car in soaking wet clothes, soaking bedding, with soaking dogs, all caked in mud due to the condition of camping field after a full day and night of rain.
No the owners can't control the weather but they should have a clear emergency process/number. No good telling folk after the event "aw you should have knocked the door next to reception" ( which we couldn't have walked to as the wind was blowing us off our feet. 
The least we should have got was keys to an empty caravan, not a call from the receptionist in the hotel saying they could offer us a room, but we'd need to pay!
Still waiting for someone to check we are ok.

SUMMARY.....great location, acceptable and clean amenities, random guy with a tractor.
The owners could be a lot more visible with full proof emergency contacts in place for there and then assistance.


It's a campsite......quit moaning 

The location is 4 star. It is not far from scafel pike , buttermere lake and cookermouth. It is right on the beach if you ask for a pitch their. It is a short walk into St Bees. Beach is fantastic.

The toilets are too far and well past their sell by date, although very clean bar the windows. The site is really for statics. None of the pitches are full service, or have grey waste. Pitches are a little small.

No shop and staff did not know anything about the surrounding area. No bar .

St Bees is a small village, a few pubs but none of any merit . The manor needs to be cleaned inside very sticky surfaces.

It could so be a lot better

Seacote touring park

The site is primarily for caravans with camping facilities seemingly an afterthought. Very basic but plenty of space and relatively quiet. Toilet and shower facilities are acceptable although perhaps for some a bit of a distance. Toilet roll not filled up regularly so take your own. Laundry and drying facilities are VERY expensive. £5 to use a dryer.
