I have visited harmony House on many occasions and only ever had first class service, lovely rooms and a full English breakfast of your dreams. Adelle is welcoming and attentive and the perfect hostess. Highly recommend.

A lovely place to stay.

We stayed at Harmony House for the weekend so we could do some sightseeing in York and the Christmas markets of course.  The house is absolutely stunning.  Adele is the best host ever, nothing was too much for her and her breakfasts are amazing.  We felt very much at home straight away and on arrival enjoyed a cheeky mulled wine in the lounge by the fire.  The bedroom was beautiful (we stayed in Great Burnet) and had everything we needed.  We got into York on the number 42 bus which was only about a 25 minute journey, you can also park at the retail park but we mainly wanted to into the city so didn't go there.  It was a foggy weekend so we didn't get to see much of Stillingfleet but that just means we'll have to come back so we can see the dark skies.  I would highly recommend staying here. A hidden gem & thoroughly enjoyable 

What a delight is Harmony House and her owner, Adele. I went for one of the seasonal retreats offered here and left feeling blessed and enriched and filled with joy. We could not have been more looked after, from our beautiful rooms and small thoughtful touches, to delicious meals and much fun and laughter. It had it all in abundance. This is a special place and it is a must for others to visit and experience all the delights also!  

A place full of delight and enrichment 

A wonderful experience. I visited with 6 other ladies for a self led retreat.  It is a real home from home.  Adele, our host could not do enough for us.  Beautifully cooked breakfast, warm rooms, log fire in sitting room.  So quiet and peaceful. 

Women Warriors Weekend 

What a wonderful place - unique and beautiful decor, super clean, lovely facilities, soft cosy bed, wonderful personal welcome from Adele, and fabulous breakfast choices - really healthy and beautifully presented - it will be so hard to beat this experience anywhere else. 

Simply Fabulous!

This property is an excellent location, only a short ride to York’s designers outlet where there is also York’s park and ride. Adele made us feel very welcome and was a source of information. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. Certainly have no hesitation in recommending this lovely B&B.

Excellent find 

We were greeted by Adele on arrival who graciously offered us a well-needed hot drink.  We had just been January Sales Shopping in York so it was lovely to relax with a cuppa in our mitts whilst sitting in her beautiful and very comfortable guest lounge.   There was an Amazon Alexa device in the lounge so Adele encouraged us to choose some music to play (my hubby opted for a bit of Phil Collins).  

Our bedroom was gorgeous in design and decor -  and ever so roomy.   A very warm comfy bed,  modern furniture, a mini fridge and a smart TV, to which I connected my BBC I Player account.   It was also such a treat to have one of the chocolates which were located in the drinks area.  

The room had its own bathroom with a gloriously deep standalone bath which I enjoyed soaking in.  The bathroom came with a lot of thoughtful extras such as bath salts, bath soak, body wash and moisturising cream (all of quality value).   What really surprised me was that I even found  a little battery operated candle resting on the bath tray so guests can well and truly switch off and relax during their stay.  

After having  a lovely night’s sleep, we had a deliciously cooked full English Breakfast served in the Garden Room.  We very much enjoyed chatting with Adele especially discovering information about the local area.   

We found Adele to be a very thoughtful and considerate proprietor.  It is very evident that Adele wants to provide her guests with the very best, so they can have a lovely stay.  I especially loved the small things such as the stylish cups, the modern quirky tea pots, the decor, ‘the Nook’ (a little high level reading area) and of course the Lindt chocolates.  

We would love to return to Harmony House for a 2 or 3 night stay so we can explore even more of the local area.



Peace and a little Pamper

Two night stay, a beautiful house located in a small village ,our room was very clean with everything we needed,a good choice of breakfast all served by the lovely host Adele,we would definitely recommend.

Little gem

Warm welcome with coffee and mince pies. Exceptionally clean throughout plus a very comfy bed. Everything in the room to make the stay perfect. Breakfasts were delicious. Only a 10 minutes drive to the Park and Ride into York centre.   Definitely recommend to stay here. 

Excellent bed and breakfast.

So cosy and relaxing Host wonderful .Despite November 5th even our dog was relaxed!!! Willow cottage so lovely and warm .Very quiet and peaceful.Continental breakfast provided .Lots of places to walk .
