It's immaculately clean: pristine bed linen (I am fussy about this). The bathroom was sparkling, and the room, cupboards, etc, totally clean. The beds were very comfortable - we were in a twin room, and there were proper blackout blinds. It's well decorated, and service was pleasant and efficient. It was very quiet, even in the Easter holidays with a fair few people staying there.  Breakfast: we don't tend to eat big breakfasts, but they did look (and smell) good. I think the rates for the room were v. reasonable compared to some other places in the area, and given the quality of the room in all the important respects.

Excellent hotel and value for money

Were do I start, this place is like finding a priceless gem. The hosts were lovely, the location is great with plenty of parking. The room took my breath away, I was not expecting what it was like. Large room, decorated beautifully. A large sofa, dressing table, gorgeous bed with enormous fluffy pillows. I honestly slept so well, the best in ages. I wanted to take the bed home with me.  The location is very quiet and peaceful. The bathroom was gorgeous, walk in shower, toiletries, and everything was sparkling and spotless. The breakfast choice was great you can order hot food which is made fresh or if you prefer there is a lovely selection of cereals, fruits, toasts and a gorgeous selection of homemade jams. My colleague and I had a lovely stay, she had an equally lovely room. We both said we will be back if work sends us back into the area.

Amazing, you will not be disappointed.

Great location for the South Hams and surrounding areas. Very welcoming, comfortable, large rooms and free parking. Not much in the immediate locality but a couple of pubs within walking distance and it's just next to the bus stop - nice 40 minute ride to Dartmouth or Modbury. Excellent breakfast and our room was very quiet. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent!

We spent 5 nights at Chillington House in a large, extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean room overlooking the garden. Breakfast was such a treat! An amazing spread of delicious fruits, yoghurt, nuts homemade compote, jams and beautifully cooked dishes  was available each morning.  Jeanne and Adam are delightful hosts and made us feel very welcome in their lovely home. Interesting coastal areas to explore and National Trust homes and gardens to visit provide plenty of activity regardless of the weather. An abundance of wild flowers spilling down banks and meadows and stunning views was just perfect. 


A  Springtime Retreat 

Is OK, but rooms next to what I would call a pretty busy road very noisy, room / bed literally metres from significant traffic.  It does die down at night, but starts again early morning (and woke me up).

This irritated me as I had specifically asked for a quiet room when I booked the room, and was given no choice when I arrived as they were full, even though I was definitely the first person to check in that day (as I had to wait for an hour for the owners to arrive to check me in...).  If they had bothered to tell me, I would not have booked there, hence my low rating.

Room clean and pleasant (but very noisy from the traffic!).

Nice enough but noisy

Stayed here for 5 days.  These is a really lovely B&B. Great hosts, Plenty of space and a really  excellent breakfast.
Chillington is central to the area and its easy to drive or walk out to the coast.
We will definitely stay here again if in the area.

Great place to stay

Overall Chillington house was an excellent location for walking the South west coastal path ( just 2 miles from Torcross ).

The hotel facilities were excellent , there was a huge choice at breakfast , and the staff appeared helpful .

However , I was moved from room 7 to room 8 .This room is above the kitchen, near the central heating system , and next to the kitchen extraction unit .There was a regular noise from the near by central heating system all night , as a result not so much sleep !!!

AVOID ROOM 8 , but overall a nice hotel .

OVERALL VERY GOOD BUT AVOID ROOM 8 IF YOU WANT SOME SLEEP !!!

A great base from which to explore the South Hams. Clean, tidy, welcoming and excellent breakfast. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area and thoroughly recommend it. Easy to find and good parking with local services close by.

2 nights near Kingsbridge

Just returned from a 3 night stay at this amazing B&B.  Such a lovely place, clean, modern with two fantastic hosts, Adam & Jeannie, who made us feel very welcome in their beautiful home.  The B&B is set in a small village surrounded by beautiful countryside,  and easy access to quite a few lovely sandy beaches.  We had a lovely 3 night break here and would definitely recommend it, especially Adam’s fantastic breakfasts which are most definitely  5 star ⭐️

Excellent  hoists  bed was fantastic  very comfortable  bed room was very clean very friendly   we stay one night as we had to tend a family  grievance   location  fantastic  breakfast  was  fantastic   we will all be back as the was three of us my and sisters   my sister  and I shade a room  very comfortable   and will recommend  this as number one top of the list we will happily  return  in the near future  the staff  wher friendly  and
