Lovely and Quirky, Margot has a wicked sense of humour, it was pleasant, clean and comfortable and Margot's breakfast has to be the best in the whole of the UK, her black pudding was out of this world.  It was a pleasant 10 minute walk into the town for all amenities.

This B&B is 1/4 mile from  the centre of Stornoway, with street parking. The owners were very friendly, served very good breakfast and gave us good advice on where to go on the island. The bedroom was a tad small for a double bed but we were only occupying it to catch up on Zzzz's.
We took a trip to the Butt of Lewis where we spotted a Minke whale feeding in the bay there. Unfortunately it was a tad camera shy. We stopped off at the Callanish Stones, then onwards to the Blackhouse museum Arnol, then Gearrannan Blackhouse village
both of which were interesting and well worth the visit.
We ate at the Cala Hotel restaurant (James Street), where there was an all you can eat carvery on, at a reasonable price. 
If you are eating out on the Sabbath, do some homework to find a place to eat and drink.

This is the perfect B&B. Lovely location opposite harbour, five minutes from the town centre and with easy street parking. We had a lovely room with everything you wanted. An excellent range of items for breakfast and an overall feeling of comfort and warmth. But what makes this place so special is Margo - the owner. She clearly loves her role and gives all guests her kindness and humour. No questions were too much for her and she always added a touch of local colour to her answer. Her happiness pervaded the whole building and we were sad to leave after only two nights.

What a beautiful lady. Margo is ,caring to the last detail ,tastefully decorated  comfy bedrooms , ,immaculately clean ,and a great welcome with a wee dram.
Breakfast presented well and gives a good start to the day.

Warm welcome

We stayed here for 2 nights,  it is a very clean, friendly and cosy B&B very handy for ferry and town centre.

Breakfast was amazing plenty to choose from. Margo very helpful. Sickness armband suggested for ferry certainly worked. 😌

We would definitely stay here again.

Short Stay

We had the pleasure of staying at this excellent B and B for 3 nights. We could not have been made more welcome by Margo or better taken care of. Very comfortable, lovely bed,  warm and cosy on a chilly night. Excellent location within easy walking distance of restaurants, but far enough away from local pubs to be very quiet. Slept like a baby. A real bonus is  plenty of parking on the safe road right outside. Can’t fault it. Special mention about the breakfast. It was the best of our trip. Good quality ingredients beautifully cooked. And the little nip of whiskey on arrival was a lovely touch. Thank you for a lovely stay and sorry we ruined your dog with the sausages!  She’ll probably expect it every day now!

Scottish hospitality at its best!

This was a very pleasant bed and breakfast in Stornoway. The room was spacious and had a view over the harbour. The bed was comfortable and the shower efficient. In spite of a main road outside, the room was quiet. Breakfast was good and substantial. The owner was very pleasant and welcoming and interested to hear about all my travels.

A comfortable bed and breakfast

We stayed for 2 nights whilst touring the islands, we were greeted by super friendly host Margo who suggested places to go and where to eat and a little insight of what it’s like to live on the Isle of Lewis . The place is immaculate, nice comfy rooms , powerful showers and decent breakfast to set you on your way . Margo clearly loves what she does and that shows , she is very proud of her business and so she should be , would use again if in Stornoway again .

Fantastic friendly stay

Really big nice room with a lovely big bathroom. The owner was good enough to let me check in a little early (note, check in is 4pm normally, which might be an issue for some). Couldn't be more helpful and professional. Highly recommended. 

Really nice

we had a lovely two days here at the end of our Outer Hebrides tour. everything was perfect and Margo is very welcoming and good at what she does. the location is quiet yet a short walk into the centre. would recommend to anyone looking for quiet accommodation in Stornoway. liked the welcome tot - cheers Margo!
