Beautiful setting.  Fantastic service.  Would recommend without any reservations at all. We only stayed one night but would happily stay much longer. Breakfast was excellent value and quality with local ingredients.

Highly recommend this place

Arrived in Cairnryan very Late 11.30 pm hoping to get ferry the following morning . I didn't have any place booked and no hotels nearby. Called into Homestead BB. Greeted very warmly and shown to a beautiful boutique room with all I could ask for . Left a phone charger and some important documents behind me. The owner kindly posted them to me with out delay.  
Would definitely stay there again.

Stayed here before traveling to Belfast on Stena.  We stayed in the garden room which was a lovely self contained unit beside the main house.  It had two double beds, two sofas tv etc and a gorgeous en suite.  Breakfast was not included, although the room did provide a kettle and toaster, teas and coffee but nothing to eat.   We were lucky because we able to book in for breakfast and it was more than worth the extra £5.00, it was generous and delicious.  Our hosts were lovely and welcoming and happily gave us advice about where to eat in Stranraer.  Would love to stay here again.  Thank you for a lovely stay

Great value and a lovely stay

First point of contact I had with this b and b was to phone day prior to stay to ask if we could park our car whilst we went on ferry. This was met by a laugh and told "it's only 5 quid, just park at terminal" .. okay. 

We then arrived from ferry about 10pm. We went to b and b to check in. I spoke to male host and said we had a room booked and he said "your in room 3". No indication of where room 3 was. Then we thought we would head out for some food before turning in. 

The lady host then told us we couldn't as she was locking front door? I said we needed to get something to eat and she eventually agreed to leave outer door unlocked (there was a further door on inside). She then told us before we left that we couldn't bring our food into house so we had to sit outside and eat it in the car. Lovely. 

The room was clean and tidy and a good size. 

We didn't go down for breakfast as there was no mention of it when we arrived so didn't have a clue when or where it was. 

A loud chap on the door at ten to ten "mind check out is 10am", not very pleasant. 

Overall the actual b and b is really nice, the room was lovely and we have no complaints there but the hosts were less than welcoming. For this reason we wouldn't stay here again.

Could be better

Very nice clean and tidy B&B. Breakfast very nice also. Not a big selection of cereals and no jams for your toast. My only problem was the check in was poor. Wasn’t told about coming in late once the door is locked. That was my only down side. 

Very handy for the P&O ferry terminal it’s on the other side of the road. 

Keep up the good work

First ever visit

The guesthouse is literally right across the road from the ferry terminal. We arrived in the port at 2am and was glad we hadn't far to travel. It couldn't of been handier. We stayed in the chalet which doesn't actually include breakfast but the hosts had room in the dining room and we're happy to accommodate us. Great room. Great service. Will definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Great hosts

We returned for our sixth stay with Margaret and Peter en route to Belfast and, as before we were made welcome. Girls enjoyed their spacious Garden Room while we had one of the larger en suite rooms inside the guest house. Breakfast was excellent and we left ready for the trip across the North Channel well fed and relaxed.

Margaret and Peter are a pleasure to stay with and are very friendly and helpful.
