I brought my Mum here for a weekend break.  We were instantly welcomed into this so very beautiful local pub by locals, staff and management.  We enjoyed singing and dancing to MetSon who were amazing too.  Our meal was fab too.  I will definitely come back here again.  Best pub I’ve stayed at in a long time.  Highly recommend 💞💞

Fabulous simply Fabulous 

Went here for the 1st time gof mothers day. Can't fault it. Food excellent,  service exceptional,  atmosphere great, very busy.  I can't fault the whole team, who clearly had to work extremely hard  as it was very busy.

Fabulous service from start to finish. 

Food and service was very good and fairly priced. Good selection of beers and wines and again reasonably priced.
Rooms are adjacent to the pub and are not really very well sound proofed .The bed was comfortable.
 In the early morning you can certainly hear the cockerels crowing outside. 
Continental type breakfast in the room as staff do not start until 11.00am.

Good value

Staff are friendly but room downstairs stunk of cigarettes and wasn’t the cleanest, very comfortable bed, I slept well. Service a little slow but understandable with not many staff working. Average stay.

We stayed over at the Fox and Hounds last Friday evening en route to Goodwood.. my pal had rented a motorhome nearby in Swindon and the reviews for the Fox and Hounds sounded great.. good food and hospitality without ridiculous prices. 

As it was friday, their was live music.. also excellent. 

Everyone was very friendly, the food was first class, the room was exceptionally clean and well presented. 

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the fox and hounds!

Great hosts, excellent food and even evening entertainment!

So out for dinner tonight 18/9/20, booked a table at fox & hounds wroughton. Booked the table for 18:30 so turned up at 18:00 for a drink first and our table was free so all good. Took 5 minutes but all good and we was given a menu as well. 
Asked about kids meals and about ordering some fish for our boy. Said she would go and check and come back so we could order. 15 minutes later (18:20) nothing. Asked a 2nd member of staff the same thing and said we’d already asked. Was told yep I’ll be straight back to see you. 18:35 I went in to pay for our drinks and to tell them what happened. The lady who took my money wasn’t bothered at all.
Such a shame as used them in lockdown and food etc was spot on. Will
Not be using them again or going there again. 
Total shocking service at its beast. 

Out for a family dinner

We booked a room here in the separate building to the pub with our own enclosed balcony and beautiful views; the room was spotless, modern decor and well equipped with tea & coffee facilities, good size mugs plus biscuits & bottled water.  The shower was a good size too with lovely hot water and soft towels & a heated towel rail.  The bed was very comfortable and lovely to awake looking out to a nice view from patio doors and hearing the cattle in the adjacent fields!  We even had room service with fresh towels and refreshments replenished!
The pub was tastefully decorated with lovely positives quotes everywhere, lots of sparkle and  pretty fairy lights, which makes it all very cosy ! All staff were very friendly and attentive and the manager was lovely to chat with. Our breakfast & dinner was included with our stay and was delicious and very good value. We were fortunate to have a cooked breakfast on Sunday and experience the tasty home baked pastries from the bakery shed in the garden, which was certainly popular with other guests and the locals. There is a large garden with plenty of seating nicely decorated with fairy lights and a seating area  under cover.  The management run this venue very well with a smooth check in/check out. We had a lovely relaxing time and would certainly return if in the area again.  We couldn’t fault anything! From Sarah, John & Luna! :)

Fabulous 2 night stay

Spent an overnight stay in one of the superior rooms (room 4), lovely and airy as the patio doors open onto a large private balcony overlooking the field. Spotlessly clean and well equipped, lovely hot shower in the bathroom. Complimentary bottles of water in the room were much appreciated. Full English Breakfast is now included in the room rate, and is served up til 11am on the weekend, which was cooked fresh and was delicious and served by the lovely Nicky. The pub/restaurant and gardens are immaculate and the atmosphere is very warm and friendly, lovely to sit inside or out - also dog friendly- which is always nice. We had a few drinks on arrival and and were greeted by a warm welcome from Chloe who was really friendly and helpful - a thoroughly lovely stop over in one of our favourite just off the motorway finds - would thoroughly recommend it. 

Excellent-as always

We had heard very goods reviews about this establishment, so I took my husband for Sunday lunch on his birthday. We both concluded that it was very average. Meat OK, veg, cabbage, leeks and carrots boring and tasteless. One had to pay extra for parsnips or cauliflower cheese. For the price these should have been included. Roast potatoes  a bit burnt.  It was noisy and added to that the dreadful music.  It all seemed a bit frenetic.  I'm afraid we will not be returning. There are many other places where Sunday lunch is better and generally more peaceful.  The waitress was pleasant and helpful.

We expected more.

First things first, the staff in this place are extremely friendly and helpful, full 5 stars for that itself.
The pub/restaurant serves delicious English cuisine with also some really good beers.
Love the coziness of the place. Internet speed is excellent so it is good for doing some work too. Overall a nice place.
