We have been to Estuary a few times in the past and always happy to return as you're assured of a very warm welcome from Donna and her team. Rooms are always very clean, fresh and inviting as you walk in the door. Facilities are excellent, comfortable bed with fresh linen, fluffy towels and all the facilities you need. Even your pint of milk in the fridge to make a cuppa with plenty tea, coffee and hot chocolate available with your biscuits. 
At breakfast time you get a warm friendly welcome to the dining room followed by a superb hot cooked breakfast. Everything you need is provided and the ladies always have time for a friendly chat on your plans for the day and can advise you on places to visit if you don't have personal plans
Very happy to recommend Estuary Lodge to all as you're safe in the knowledge that it's an ideal spot for visiting areas of North Wales, but especially for the care and personal attention that's given to you as a guest by Donna and her team

Great Accommodation in North Wales

We have visited before and are always impressed by the standard of comfort and quality of furnishing. It is convenient for travel to Harlech, Portmadoch, Ynys, and 
 other interesting places. Combine this with friendly and efficient service and a good breakfast selection well cooked - what more does one want?

A good place to be

Although it’s described as a Motel in the ads, the Estuary Lodge has facilities superior to many 4-Star Hotels.  Our super-king bed was extremely comfortable. The room had two armchairs and stylish modern fittings (even a microwave!).  Good free wi-fi too
The bathroom was spotless, with plenty of toiletries - and flannels provided too, which is a rarity these days!  plus coffee/tea/biscuits/bottled water…….and fresh milk!  
Breakfast is all freshly cooked and served at the table.  
Being a motel, you can park right outside your door of course.    
All-in-all a most enjoyable couple of days and we look forward to staying here again!

Thoroughly recommended

Definitely recommend staying at The Estuary, which is within easy distance from Portmeirion and Porthmadog. Rooms are clean, bright, comfortable and warm, with soft fluffy towels, tea making facilities, microwave and fridge. Full breakfast is made to order. The hosts (Donna and Lee) are friendly and very accomodating. Thank you both and Sylvia for a wonderful 3 night stay.

High standards in both room quality and breakfast. Very friendly owners and staff. Would stay again and recommend to friends. Breakfast well cooked and well presented. Cooked to order so everything piping hot and fresh. Convenient location for Harlech beach and also Porthmadog.

Quality accommodation.

Lovely place nice room with comfortable bed, the temperature in the room was perfect as I usually find hotels too hot the breakfast was really good & plentiful my only negative would be the hand basin in the bathroom which was situated in the shower cubicle therefore was always wet but saying that it would not put me off going there again as the positives out weighed the one negative

Weekend away to  visit Portmeirion

You walk in from your own parking space to a warm, clean and well decorated room with an enormous bed. In the room there are 2 arm chairs and table, walk through to the area with mugs, microwave, fridge, kettle, tea, coffee and biscuits off that is the walk in shower which is probably the only thing that lets it down BUT IT WORKS.
The furnishing oozes quality. The enormous comfortable bed and pillows. The sheet, quilt cover and pillow. The toweling, bath mats, and shower toiletries and fittings. Even the mugs are not your usual white.
Donna and her team are very friendly and full of local information of where to go and best places to eat. Talking of eats, the breakfast is delicious. You order from the menu upon your arrival and on subsequent mornings for either 8 o clock or 9 o clock. This way you know what you are getting and it is served HOT.  
Once you have had your (unrushed) breakfast you go back to your room for however long you like as there is no one coming in to interrupt you. Have another tea/coffee and take your time, no need to clear up then and there. There is no housekeeping (although you can ask) THE ROOMS ARE THOROUGHLY CLEANED AND SANITISED 24 HOURS BEFORE ARRIVAL so you know its clean, so whats the problem with washing up your mugs (at least you know its done properly, tucking in the enormous sheet and pulling up the quilt. After all this is all the posh hotels do and this way you know its done to your satisfaction. 
The area is quite and not too far from quaint places such as Criccieth, Barmouth, Beddgelert, the Snowdownia mountains and national park and of course the steam railway at Porthmadog all within 10-25 miles.
All in all a lovely 4 night break and we will be returning - but in the summer.

 

Exceptional difference

The room and facilities were clean comfortable and  to a very very high standard. The Motel had been the subject of an extensive recent renovation and make over. We were visiting relatives and will certainly be back. The people were charming and extremely helpful. There was a good choice for breakfast and nothing was too much trouble by the owner and staff. The location was quiet and well positioned for Porthmadog, Harlech, Port Marion and surrounding areas. A good choice for anyone !

Now, this is a lovely place to stay. Conveniently situated within just a few miles of Harlech Castle, Portmeirion and Porthmadog and within easy driving range of Snowdon and Caernarfon it is in an ideal location.

Our room was spcious, immaculately clean and had everything we could possibly need, including a fridge and a microwave, for a very pleasant stay. 
Your own parking spot right outside your room is another bonus.
We found the bed and pillows to be very comfortable and enjoyed a good night's sleep throughout our stay.
There is some road noise that can be heard at times but it is not excessive and not enough to spoil the stay.

Breakfast was execellent and freshly cooked to order using good quality ingredients.

In addition, we found the hosts to be very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them.

If you are visiting this area you would be hard pressed to find better accommodation than Estuary Lodge and we recommend it.

We loved it here . We had a very comfortable room that was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated . We loved that we could park outside our door . 
Nothing was too much for Donna and her team and we were made to feel very welcome and even met her husband on Saturday . 
Breakfast was great - a delicious cooked breakfast of our choice and nicely cooked to order . It's a real gem and I would hope that we could book again to visit this really interesting area .
