Really friendly staff and helpful with all of your needs. 
Rooms were clean, bright and airy.
Bed very comfortable and nice fluffy pillows.
Nothing too much trouble.
Bathroom included a bath and shower.
Coop nearby
Pub/carvery  next door which is handy.
Costa, Greggs and 24 hour garage also across road, so plenty of conveniences.

Excellent Travelodge. Clean and fresh rooms. Rose, staff member was excellent. Very informative and extremely friendly and made the experience 1000% times better. She was very kind and was on hand to help if I needed anything. Thank you so much!

Travelodge Stay

Couldn't fault it. Exactly same as a Premier Inn, which was a surprise as Travelodge can be very drabby.
Was there New Year's Eve so expected some noise but none.
Pub next door was friendly too. Buffet breakfast a little dear but ok, especially the mushrooms.

The entrance area to the rooms just beyond the reception has a very strong damp stench. 🤧😡😷

The wash gel in bathroom had run out - it should be checked daily and refilled appropriately.

Could be better

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Room was cold, dirty and smelled of bleach. Heating turned itself off during the night. Sheets not cleaned properly and bed not made correctly. Bathroom was poorly ventilated and hotel very run down

Awful experience

We checked in at 7pm after a long journey. We got to our room and the there was several room doors open, loud music being played and young children running up and down the corridor. We went into our room and then had knocking on our door and children putting their keys in our lock. We left our belongings in the room as we were heading out for a couple of hours. I spoke to a lady on reception and said that we were there for the weekend and had a very early start in the morning. I said that I was worried about the noise as my family wanted a good nights sleep. I asked could we move to a quieter part of the hotel. She said there was no rooms and that the corridor I was staying was for emergency accommodation and that the families usually quietened down around 1030pm. I said that we wanted to be in bed by then. She said she’ll ask them to be quiet if needs be. We returned to our room around 9am. As we walked through reception the receptionist was arguing with a family and she kept saying the police would be called. This obviously made myself and my children anxious and my husband wasn’t joining us until the following morning. We went to our room and we were approached by 3 other families and they said that the lady on reception had told them all that I had complained about them. This is very unprofessional and I felt scared and intimidated. If I knew the local area and if I would have had the money I would have left there and then. 

There was noise up until around 1am but I was scared to leave the room. 

Another issue was there was a gap in my curtains as the curtain track was broken by around 7inches. The bed was next to the window, making it more difficult to sleep with the light from the car park shining in. 

The shower filled the bath when we showered. Obviously with 4 of us this nearly filled the bath. 

The room was very dusty and there was someone’s odd sock left on the shelf, grime around the bath and stains on the the sink shelf. 

In the morning I left a sign on the door asking for fresh towels and cups. This was before 9am. Nothing was topped up. 

We left for the day for the wedding and returned at 11pm. Again there was people in the corridor, noise levels high, room doors open. The same receptionist was again threatening people with the council and the police. 

This was truly an awful stay. Awful hotel, awful room and very unprofessional receptionist.

Avoid!

Stay there a night because I had an appointment at the hospital,all day in hospital just wanted to have a nice peaceful relaxing evening as i had to drive up home early morning and it’s a long way. Got to the front of the hotel at least 6 adults smoking I mean it’s a hotel not a pub? 
Anyway walk in a cloud of smoke as a non smoker it wasn’t nice! 
Walk in no was there the receptionist came from outside she was 1 of the 6 I mean for god sake don’t speak to people with a mouth full of smoke and smells like that!! 
The room was clean enough ! 
The next morning as was going to leave I had a chat with a lovely lady that was cleaning the rooms! She seemed very hardworking but I bet the receptionist she makes more money and does nothing but sit outside and smoke get a better wages than the cleaning lady !
Anyway i think they need to look at the people they put on their reception it’s not good for business! I wouldn’t stay there again unless I have a hospital appointment! 
That place was so nice a few years back!

Disappointed

I recently stayed here and I couldn’t fault the cleanliness nor the staff! One of the friendliest and most welcoming hotels I’ve stayed at. Ryan went out of his way to make my stay even more memorable and nothing was too much! A real asset to the hotel! My rooms was clean and had a nice fresh smell. I’ll always stay here when I’m in the area and will always recommend the family and friends :) 

Most enjoyable

I stayed here on 21st feb, I travel a lot for work and out of all the Travelodges I have stayed in this hotel has to be the worst, kids running around the corridors, all I saw was the receptionist stood outside smoking then flicking her fag butt onto the carpark which I found very disgusting and disrespectful.

Not the best

Stayed with some friends. Rooms were very clean & tidy. There were children running up & down but after a chat to the manager Ryan who was very understanding dealt with this immediately. 
Warm welcome from him aswell & nothing was too much trouble.
