The hotel stay as last year was lovely, we had a different room this time, but it was gorgeous.  We had a fantastic breakfast too, the quality of the ingredients is beautiful. The bar did close at 10.30 on Saturday evening, but there are other bars along the road you can go to, or just take drinks back to your room, the staff are all very accommodating.

Lovely Stay

Yet again a lovely stay, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Well done to Tracey the housekeeper. We had dinner which was cooked to perfection by Sam who also did a wonderful breakfast cooked my egg just how I like it, which others seem to find difficult. Will stay again soon.

Gem in the Gorge.

Great hotel stay with splendid location, right beside the iron bridge. Staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious with superb quality food. Our room had a view of the courtyard and was extremely well presented. Mugs, cups, glasses and wine glasses were a helpful addition.

Lovely hotel

What an amazing relaxing tastefully decorated hotel and restaurant. Food was out of this world. Exceptionally sourced local ingredients. Sublime and fresh. Staff was courteous and professional. We was in room 4 we classed it as the hand dryer room as you can hear the toilet hand dryer. But as we have four children at home.normally we accepted the noise and accepted that's just the way the hotel is. We wouldn't knock the hotel for this. The rooms are decorated to a high standard and very clean. The bed in room 4 is amazing !!!! Comfortable and if I could have took it.wirhout being noticed I would have done :p. Best nights sleep I've had in quite a while. 

Booked.to come.back in June for a weekend we know we will be in excellent hands

Jewel of Ironbridge

Popped in for lunch during half term, everything from the food to the service was spot on! 5 toasted sarnies with chips, and a soup all went down a treat, everything made from scratch and a shout-out for the fishfinger sarnie - that was top notch?

We stayed here for dinner, bed and breakfast as a Christmas present to each other and it didn't disappoint. Booked online and, our fault, arrived late but they soon got a table for dinner for us sorted even though they were busy. Lovely newly renovated room where everything had been thought of with a view of the river and a roll top bath! Food and service in the bar both in the evening and next morning was excellent. No parking but they let us know the options available. Can't fault it. We will be back!!

Friendly staff and a decent lunch menu but Mediocre food - sounded better than it tasted! Nice setting with good sized front garden and a view over the river. 

However, the place is over run with wasps and they’ve made no attempt to deal with them. I asked if they had a wasp decoy but unfortunately the staff has no interest in doing anything about it. If you don’t like wasps buzzing around your mouth, food and in your drink then be warned!

Ordered beef sandwich and soup.
The beef was disgusting uncooked and unmanageable to eat as it was very fatty. Returned food to bar to get a refund.
The soup was old and not fresh.
We all had diarrhoea and vomiting following on from eating here. We will never return.

The white hart 

We picked the place because of its proximity to the Ironbridge and the price.  For these White Hart Inn does not disappoint.  We arrived sort of late at close to 7pm, after walking literally from the Telford Steam Railway (with the Telford City Council failed to provide any update on the summer 2023 Ironbridge park and ride timetable even when it was already early July and my written enquiry simply ignored).   The young man at the reception thought we were not coming, and told us that he was about to call, because for some reason the restaurant would not be serving dinner on that evening, which was a Sunday.  A pity.   And we were referred to the Swan.  (See my other review.)

Anyway we booked a lower category room so were prepared to find that the room was small and it was located at the end of a narrow corridor through stags of staircase.  Not good for big suitcases, though I think most visitors to Ironbridge would not be bringing.  The room was airy and quiet though.  Bed comfy.  The surprising delight however was the powerful shower, which we did not expect at a place like this.

Breakfast was excellent.  Very kind lady explained everything clearly to us.  At this rate, when compared to others nearby, White Hart Inn is the best deal.

Nice stay

We were really impressed with this very dog friendly pub. There was space to sit inside with our 2 Labradors without being in anyone else’s way, the food choices were great and the staff were welcoming and attentive.
