We had a fabulous Sunday lunch at the Plough in the middle of a decent country walk. Lovely food, friendly and efficient staff in a great setting. Recommend booking as the Plough is quite rightly, very popular.

Sunday mid walk lunch.

Lovely lunch in a genuine Cotswolds Pub. Friendly staff and a good choice of dishes at lunchtime. The Wagu burger was a highlight!
Extra credits for opening all day for food and especially on a Monday and Tuesday when so many others now don’t bother.

What a lovely owner and a lovely place thoroughly enjoyed it and 100% going again. The staff were lovely so as the food. And offered a group of sliver dofe group a jug of water. Love the benches very comfy. Lovely waft of the flourishing flowers.

Without a doubt, the BEST fish pie in the world! Never disappoints. Amazing service & always a warm, friendly welcome. Landlady is brilliant as is the AMAZING & knowledgeable Lillybelle!! Thank you for the most delicious fish pie & fabulous service.

Fantastic fish pie & ace staff

Visited with my partner for a midweek meal out and was impressed with the quality and taste of our meals - couldn't fault the friendly service either.. After a few disappointing  pub meals out where it's obvious there is skimping on ingredients and portion sizes going on in a lot of establishments, so nice to see a full plate of very tasty food. Lovely country pub atmosphere -we will definitely be returning

1st visit -definitely return

Excellent welcome, bottle of water on table, good choice on menus and daily specials, quiche, salad, boiled potatoes and coleslaw. My choice was French onion soup with granary roll, best soup I have tasted in a long time. Friendly staff clean premises. Only downside was no disabled parking other than that well worth a visit.

Popped here for a meal without booking.  We were so pleased to see they had availability and we were cheerfully greeted by the lovely Becky.

Baked camembert to start (a firm favourite) and delicious,  followed by a stilton topped steak and the obligatory fish pie for me. (I have never found a fish pie to top The Ploughs!) Jam packed full of fish and served with seasonal veg 

All washed down with a cider or two.

Can I also reccomend the iced lemon cheesecake, you wont be disappointed.

Impromptu Anniversary meal

Well, we have been coming to the cotswolds every year for about 17 years. Why have we not eaten here before??!!! What a little gem. Cosy pub with a warm friendly welcome. Menu great with a choice for everyone. I had the pie and mash-so so tasty, hubby had the slow roasted belly pork which he said was one of the tastiest meals hes had. My daughter had thd ham egg and chips which went down very well. I was looking at all the meals coming out and they all looked delicious! We will be back

Best pub food I have experienced in years. Visited for an evening meal with the family from 2 year old to 65. The kids tucked into chicken nuggets and devoured the lot. Steak was outstanding and gammon was the best I have tasted. Also trued the beef strips in mushroom and pepper sauce, very tasty. All followed by excellent puds. Not the cheapest but definitely worth a visit as food is outstanding and staff so helpful and friendly. We will be back next year when we stay at the Cotswold Farm Park.

Best pub food I have experienced in years.

Stunning Pub, we visited for dinner last night. The menu is large and our food was the best we have eaten in a long time. I had the prawn and mussel thermadore, and my husband had the pigeon for starters. Our main course was the special of crispy duck, with bubble and squeak, carrots, broccoli and orange sauce. Absolutely delicious and the service was exceptional, I think our waitress was Lilybelle. We will go out of our way to go again. We were staying at the Cotswolds Farm Park.
