My husband and I had not been to the hotel since before COVID so decided to take a drive to Stockbridge for the day, we knew that the Grovenor Hotel had a complete renovation. We checked it out and to our amazement as we entered it look very good. Went to reception and was immediately welcomed by Nicky the receptionist. Husband mentioned to her that we had stayed there a few times and whether we could look at a couple of the rooms. Nicky was very obliging and showed us a room in the garden area, one on the first looking on to the garden, and one looking onto the front All three rooms were very well refurbished to very high standard. We chose the one looking onto the road for a two night stay. Unfortunately we did not realise that the traffic would be quite loud in the front, next time we take the garden or the first floor room. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and served by very lovely and helpful staff. The bar meals we had were also very well prepared and served by wonderful and friendly well trained staff especially Bethany who was very obliging to go that one bit further to serve my meal the way I like it done. We will definitely be returning again.

Lovely place, stayed there Easter weekend, well decorated and lovely comfy beds, fantastic bathrooms, plenty of space and very clean, had a problem with the heating on the ground floor so got given bubbles n chocolate, tea and coffee available in kitchen. Stockbridge pricey but lovely..

We had a very pleasant overnight stay at The Grosvenor. We had a no pet room Upper Test Room. Unusual decor but very nice and cosy. Very good bedding and towels. A small bathroom but with a very good walk in shower and Elemis products. 
A good breakfast and food choice in the dining area.
It’s the most unusual decor green and red bar area.
Very clean in all areas. The grounds look very good and outdoor bar opening in two weeks time.
We will stay again.

Lovely overnight stay

We truly cannot recommend the Grosvenor highly enough.  We were able to use the beautifully decorated Library Room for our daughter's and son-in-law's proposal and celebration.  They helped us with all plans & to make it very special.  Great service, food & staff.  Wonderful!!  A gem of a place.  Thank you Grosvenor staff.

Amazing Service and Lunch

I recently held a 70th birthday party at the Grosvenor Hotel in Stockbridge.  It was a superb experience. The staff to a woman and man  were delightful: welcoming and efficient. They provided an ideal nicely furnished room which comfortably held the 32 of us.  Canapes were delicious, wines and other refreshments ideal.

Altogether the atmosphere was excellent and widely commented on accordingly by my guests.

A superb experience at the Grosvenor

The revamp of this hotel is superb.  I had a gorgeous room facing into the gardens and as I was attending the local festival Trout n About with my friends, we had drinks in my courtyard garden before we left.  The vibe was full on Stockbridge - England at its very best.  The staff were attentive and friendly and couldn’t do enough to help.  
My friends got married here and it was lovely then but the lockdown overhaul has made it a really elegant and comfortable hotel.

My husband and I are visiting from Australia and by chance stopped in and had the most outstanding meal in the Market Room restaurant at The Grosvenor Hotel. Each mouthful was exquisite!  How could we resist a starter, main course and dessert.
The hotel grounds themselves are absolutely stunning and we are sorry that on this occasion we are not staying longer.
We certainly will return to Stockbridge to try out more of their mouth watering delights and next time enjoy a night or two in their fabulous gardens and surrounds.

What a serendipitous find!

We visited here for a birthday celebration. Warm & friendly welcome. We had hoped to be outside but it was too wet so we ate in the elegant dining room. The food was delicious and portions were extremely generous. 
Our waiter Frankie was very helpful to our table and nothing was too much trouble for him . He clearly enjoys his job and is an asset to the hotel as he gave great customer service to us and the other tables he was serving . 
We would thoroughly recommend eating here .

Delicious food & great service

So pleased we chose the Grosvenor to break our journey home from Dorset. Whoever carried out the interior design deserves a medal, it’s so attractive. Our Upper Test room - Parson’s Stream (all these rooms are named after beats of the River Test) was an absolute delight. On the first floor of the mews looking over the pretty walled garden it was small but big enough for a short stay. Fabulous super king bed, lovely walk in shower and a Nespresso coffee machine. Complimentary water and Elemis products in the sparklingly clean bathroom.
Can’t comment on the restaurant as we didn’t dine, but we enjoyed a glass of fizz in the peaceful garden and the included breakfast the following morning was excellent. We were tempted with the full English, but settled for poached eggs with avocado on sourdough toast for my husband and with wild mushrooms on crumpets for me. 
NT Mottisfont is only about 15 minutes drive away and Stockbridge itself is an attractive town, although it’s a shame there are only a handful of interesting shops. We will definitely return if in the area again. Highly recommended.

What a find!

My husband and I enjoyed an amazing overnight stay together with our two Italian Spinone dogs who were made to feel very welcome with treats and kind comments and were able to sit with us whilst we savoured the delicious cuisine- the best we have had in a hotel for some time (and we are lucky enough to travel quite extensively) .  The service was excellent, very friendly , attentive and informative staff who made us feel very special.  Our garden room was perfect with a very spacious walk-in shower and large comfortable bed and the patio area was perfect to enjoy a glass of champagne in the sunshine.  We really enjoyed the live music and cannot wait to return.
