Great place fantastic venue. Quiet and secluded. Excellent service from Allan the host employee. The Grange and the room we stayed in was full of Character from the cramped low ceiling stairs to our spacious wooden beamed room to a very large and well appointed bathroom.

The bed was large and comfortable. Room temperature just right. Comfortable chairs and unlimited tea and coffee making facilities with fresh milk! Stand alone bath and extremely large shower. Loved the place...

The only downside is access to the property. You must have the telephone number available to call from the entrance gates. Without this you can’t get in. Would suggest that they attach the number to a board on the gate.

Alan who runs the place single handed was a really nice guy and couldn’t do enough for you.
One of the best English breakfast I’ve ever had!
Not close to any town or pub so car or taxi required.
10/10 so GO! 

Lovely B&B

What a fantastic weekend!

Alan the host was very helpful from the moment we arrived. 3 of us meet up each year to catch with some fishing and a couple of pints.

Alan gave us a run down on the lakes including good spots and bait that work. At the end of the weekend I’d caught 18 carp to 17lbs in the Long Pool, friends had similar.

Breakfast was excellent, full English. Continental and cereals freely available too.

Rooms very clean, airy and had a homely feel.

Will return next year, excellent all round 10/10

Fishing weekend, catch up with friends

Lovely in many ways and a place to (literally) take the time to smell the roses.  Very hospitable, attentive host.  Beautiful house in glorious parklands.  Very impressive.  We only stayed an evening so that we could visit Burghley House to see a concert and we so wish we could've spent more time just relaxing at the Guest House.  One day I will pack some drawing and reading materials and spend a couple of days there...and swing on the tree swing too.

There was a group of us visiting with dogs. 

The area's around the hotel had glorious views which can also be seen from the bedroom windows (refreshing to look at in the evening and in the morning).  There are also some nice walks.  

The breakfast in the morning was delicious and had a vast selection on offer.  

Alan was fantastic and made sure our stay was better than good!

Everyone loved their accommodation and the rooms were spacious with larger than average bathrooms.  The little extras in the rooms, like cookies and fresh milk, were an added nice gesture.  

We would definitely recommend and hope to return again.

Set in a quiet hamlet, this B and B gives a warm welcome.  We were housed..,as all guests seemed to be in an old, well furnished clean cottage.  Everything was laid on,including a fridge with dark table Robe!  The whole place as genteel country house todeeltoit.  You could order anything from eggs benedict to fresh croissant for breakfast.
Plenty of parking.  
We will stay hereagain
