Enjoyed one night in a double room while navigating the North Coast 500. While the room was quite small and contained merely a double bed it was comfortable.
Breakfast and dinner in the resturant was very good and staff were very helpful and courteous.
Good parking between hotel buildings with lighting and CCTV. Thurso however was very quiet overnight. If you don’t wish to dine in the hotel there are a few restaurants within a short walk.

Comfortable room and lovely food and staff. Quality and size of bedroom and bed acceptable for one night.

Great location for both the station (obviously!) and the town. Room was very clean and bath + shower. Staff very welcoming. Breakfast is a choice of continental or Scottish.  Did not eat there but had a couple of drinks in the bar which has big comfy sofas.

Nice place and location

Stayed here for two nights on our coach tour of Scotland. Stayed in a large room in the courtyard which was OK. Evening meal was good with a good breakfast as well. Staff were very friendly with us. Rooms could probably do with updating.

Arrived 6pm as part of a coach party of 23. My room as allocated was  33 in the back courtyard, On entry it was cold and not welcoming, it was raining and I had to drag my case outside and some 50 yards to the rear. I returned to the bar area and witnessed the early part of evening service. Our party had been booked into the restaurant. The evening meal was very good, served on hot plates, not always done. The Breakfast was one of the best breakfasts I have had in the last two years, the quality of the produce was exceptional.  I witnessed many aspects of this hotel and would suggest that when guests arrive they should at least enter a warm room. There are some brilliant touches with pictures and maps but please make the guests first impression warm and welcoming. This is hospitality even as ar North as you are.

Coach party one nighter

This hotel came up as the best compromise between cost and reviews. It was a pleasant experience overall. Rooms were clean, tidy & comfortable. Breakfast was well cooked and plentiful. We were in the annexe rather thsn the main building, but it was only 20yards away-the other side of the car park.

Good experience

Part of coach tour. Extremely disappointed.  Stuck out the back in room that resembled 1960s motel room.  There was a big stain on seat of armchair.  Pillow cases were much bigger than the lumpy pillows and crumpled as if they have been used before.  Restaurant no better, took an hour to be served entrees then over an hour to be served other two courses.  Main meal of roat lamb was small bitty pieces, mostly fat and served with boiled potatoes.  Tables served before appeared to have roast potatoes so they probably ran out.  To top everything off, when the waitress was clearing the table she scraped the remains of the plates onto a plate at the table. I can't remember every having an overall worse experience in all my years of travelling.

Extremely disappointing 

Nice and comfortable studio accommodation and plenty of room.  Has everything we needed including tea making facilities.  Nice and clean and People very helpful.  Food very good also with good menu.   Would recommend and stay again ourselves

Station hotel,  Thurso

Myself,my brother and sister from Australia, stayed at the station hotel thurso, the triple room was immaculately presented,the staff especially young Megan, Katy and Rebecca and the not so young Pam were fantastic,We had dinner and breakfast there which was excellent , l can honestly say it was a 5* stay for us

Amazing staff,room and food.

Decor is beautiful, everywhere is spotless, attention to detail on furnishings and staff are all attentive, happy, and helpful. A rarity to have all 3! Food is always presented beautifully, wife choice on menu and piping hot. And I am a fussy guest ;) 11/10

Dinner

Good sized room and very clean bathroom in a location in the centre of town with small carpark. This hotel takes coach trips so you may have a long wait for food if you arrive at the back of the queue. However, there are several restaurants within easy walking distsnce.
