This is a great hotel, with beautiful views . The rooms are spacious , modern and clean . We ate in the restaurant and the food was really tasty . The staff here were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble . The breakfast was great too with good options .  A really lovely stay on our NC500 tour .

Spacious room with scenic views

Fantastic, homely hotel. We only stayed one night but the staff were super friendly and very accommodating for us as we had a dog. 
The food was lovely, especially the breakfast!

Lovely hotel

After a long day on motorbikes and the cool evening setting in, the Bettyhill was a warm sanctuary atop the hill overlooking Torrisdale Bay. I stayed in Room 2 with a a view over the bay. It was recently refitted , redecorated and had a lovely bathroom with a real power shower. All the people were warm friendly and determined to make our stay enjoyable and relaxing. Add this hotel to your itinerary for your Scottish adventure and you will not be disappointed.

Warm and welcoming

This is one of the best places we have ever stayed! Beautiful views, friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms, large showers, and wonderful bar and restaurant. We only stayed here one night during our exploration of the NC500 but this was bar far our favorite stay of the trip. I cannot recommend the Bettyhill Hotel enough! Any extra cost for a room with a view is totally worth it, as is eating dinner in the hotel restaurant (breakfast there is provided in the cost of your room and is delicious). Great food and again great views! 

WOW! Truly outstanding. 

Opted to book a room with a sea view and wasn't disappointed. The rooms are a good size with really comfy Simba mattresses and quality bedding. Downstairs the bar is really friendly and the restaurant does a great evening menu. The food mixed with the service and sea view from the restaurant was really impressive.

Well worth the money. If you really wany to spoil yourself book room 1 which has a dual aspect 😍

Great Hotel on NC500 with fantastic views

We booked rooms with a sea view, and what a view it was. Reasonably spacious rooms with all the amenities. Friendly staff throughout, and dog friendly as well. Good bar/pub and the hotel restaurant had good quality food and selection. My wife said she was thinking about moving in permanently !! Not much else around in the way of restaurants so we were very happy to have booked this hotel.

A total Gem of a hotel.

Always love coming here. I don't always use the restaurant but I have and the meal was lovely.  The views are amazing as we always get the same room. Clean Just love everything about this place. ❤️ ..

Rural hotel, lovely staff, room was very clean and comfortable, dinner was lovely, recommend highland chicken, breakfast was better, have Scottish breakfast lovely haggis, great views as well and a pool table and darts if ya fancy it, would definitely return, ahh and my dog loved it

We stayed for two nights during our honeymoon NC500 tour of the Highlands in our camper van. When we were planning our tour we wanted to book a couple of nights in a nice hotel and have a romantic dinner. We researched various hotels, and the reviews of Bettyhill Hotel, and its restaurant, led us to believe that it would be what we were looking for. We booked two nights in the middle of our tour.

The exterior of the hotel matches the photos on the website, Tripadvisor, etc, so we had high hopes for our stay. We had booked a room with a sea view - the room was spacious, and the views were lovely. The en-suite had clearly been recently renovated, and had a large walk-in shower. The room was let down by the bed: the mattress was one of the most uncomfortable mattresses I have ever encountered - it was like trying to sleep on a brick (note to hotels, don't use Simba mattresses, they are awful); there were too few pillows, and the pillows were very flat. I had two very uncomfortable, restless nights, which was made worse by the curtains that didn't meet in the middle, and didn't block out the light (at one point, I considered going back to the van, which has a more comfortable bed). The room did not meet the standards of a £150 per night hotel.

The restaurant was OK - the views were lovely, but the food was only average to good. For dinner on our first night, my wife and I had both been looking forward to the scallops - they were OK, but very small, and a bit on the dry side. I had salmon for my main course, which was very tasty, but on the overcooked side. Breakfast was OK - we had both been looking forward to the full breakfast, which was OK, but nothing to write home about - everything was a bit on the dry side. Dinner on the second night was similar to our first dinner - OK, but not exceptional. On the second morning, we both had eggs Benedict, which were very good (probably the highlight of our dining experience).

All in all, our stay was disappointing, and did not meet our expectations.

Didn't live up to expectations - poor value for money

We loved the hotel, staff, food and view to die for in the dining room. Our bedroom was renovated and perfect in every way except the small size and car park view. Everything was great but we were disappointed with the cost of the room bearing in mind size and view. We completely understand it costs to run these places but it was a disappointment. Our overall feeling was we had a great stay and the warm, friendly staff and great food helped in our very good rating. The view from the dining/breakfast table will always be in our memories.
