Since Away Resorts has bought this park there has been trouble accessing the beach via the gate affording a quick, safe, easy and accessible route to the beach and restaurants. This route has been open for decades but is now permanently bolted shut forcing customers to take a very long detour via Colwell Common or a narrow single track coastal path overgrown with brambles and nettles and very dark and dangerous after sunset. There is no explanation given and no reason for this big inconvenience to customers. Unacceptable. I shall not visit again.

Very poor customer relations and service

Travelling to this resort in two weeks time we are very disappointed as the check-in time is a rip-off , starting at 16.00pm
Effectively your first day you are only paying for somewhere to sleep even though the charge is for the full day.
My wife is disabled and does not travel well plus it’s our anniversary and I explained this to them and asked to see if they could accommodate us to check in earlier and the answer was a flat NO.
This shows very poor customer service or reasonableness at the outset.
If it had been  free cancellation I would’ve cancelled my booking on this basis as I cannot trust that the rest of the customer experience is going to be supportive!

Check in time 16.00pm is a ripoff

The hot tub was bonus, not quite the luxury lodge we’d expected but comfortable. No wifi on the complex at all, very limited signal to use data either. Cafe/coffee shop is tiny - coffee machine broken, no alternative offered and no f*cks given. No on site shop or facilities. The last night was especially hard with rain water cascading down the overflowing gutters loudly all night.

Would not return.

This is the second time we have stayed on this park and we love it here.  We spent Christmas week here with my family and our dog and we had a lovely time.  The only disappointment was that the pool was closed, there was no Wi-Fi as they told us on arrival that they were between providers and our phone signal wasn't great.  The bungalow was warm and cosy.  The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was great.  It had everything we needed for our week, the cooking facilities were good plus it had a washing machine and dishwasher which is a great addition.  The dog friendly bungalow we stayed in had a small, enclosed gravel garden.  There is access to the beach via a short walk and there are other walks around the local area.  We ate out in a local pub on Christmas Day which was lovely.  There are supermarkets, restaurants and pubs a short drive away.  The coastal walks are lovely.  We will definitely be back.

Fabulous Bungalow

Staff are great, super friendly and helpful.
Sadly we had a problem with our accommodation not having been cleaned, we reported this and were moved immediately with help from the team. 
The hot tubs are well screened, beautifully clean and deliciously hot!
The cottages are cosy, well furnished and comfortable 

Great hideaway

Booked a luxury cottage with hot tub pet free and whilst it was nice I think luxury and the photos used to describe them are exceptionally misleading. 
The accommodation was clean and thankfully free of dog hairs as other reviews had stated they were neither. 
Check in was easy and the is allocated parking.  No welcome pack usually we get a nice bag of goodies when we stay at whitecliff bay. 
The area where the hot tub is, is neither private or inviting and honestly hugely disappointing, weeds and just not nice at all. Hot tub jets are limited and the heat goes very quickly once the lid is off. 
The double bed is the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on, it is so hard I would have come home early if we had been staying for a week. Sofas have seen better days, and not particularly comfortable either. Should had a lot of ingrained mould  
Nice beach and restaurants close by but definitely not planning a return visit and I suggest they look at their marketing or going to have a lot of fed up customers 

Basic definitely not Luxury 

Our stay in a cottage was as good as we had hoped. The cottage was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Everything worked well, the hot tub was a treat and the indoor pool was one of the cleanest and best we have seen. The proximity to the bay made for some lovely evening strolls to see the sunset and it was a short walk to shops and frequent public transport. The staff were very helpful and cheerful. They helped make this an excellent week’s holiday. 

As good as it looked!

Absolutely hopeless- toilets locked - disabled access lauded on sites an utter joke- impossible to see where dogs allowed/not allowed ; disabled toilets locked. Had to purchase from cafe to use their loos; very disappointed in the whole area - derelict buildings at the side of the beach where we were originally directed to for disabled access ; a joke- huge broken concrete steps and no access to beach unless you were a rock climber. Nothing in near area apart from bus selling alcohol and later on a pizza van.

Very disappointing trip

lovely lodge, wouldn’t say luxury, but only due to the lack of privacy. Lodge is nice, clean and fresh. 
But the lodges are so close together - see Google earth as they are almost terraced! 
We also had the joy of a camper van parking up next to our back fence and so had even less privacy with them looking in.
Bar is basically little coffee shop, pool is nice and had it to ourselves for a fair bit

Lack of privacy means not so much luxurious

Never heard such a racket. We are on holiday with our young children for a rest not to be kept awake by these out of uncontrol louts. Is there no management/security on site ?
It is totally unacceptable.
These youths are ruining my holiday.
