We stayed two nights with our 8 year old granddaughter, who was entranced by the parrot (I wasn't so keen!) and the little fluffy dog.  She was also taken to see the other farm animals (cows, pigs) and met the sheepdogs too.
Breakfast was super - lots of fruit, juice, cereal, followed by a fine cooked plateful, with fried bread!  Service was very prompt.  
Lovely cosy guest lounge, with fresh milk available in the fridge.  Rather unimaginative biscuits in the rooms - someone in another review mentioned cake!  
Perfect location as we had family staying at the nearby Merrose Caravan Park.  For meals, we drove to the nearest car park on the road into  Portscatho, where it is a £1 to park after 6pm and just a 10 min walk into the centre.
The only negative - we were in a family room on the ground floor and you could hear every footfall and toilet flush from the room upstairs.  The people above on the first night made several huge crashes at about 10.30pm - goodness knows what they were doing, dropping suitcases on the floor?  Not late, but it is for a child.  The second night was much better - different guests perhaps.  But I felt this wasn't really the owners fault (although perhaps the guests in the room above could be made aware that there is a family room below?) so have not marked the review down for that.
We did not find the road noise a problem - it isn't busy at night.

Lovely, homely farmhouse stay

Excellent accommodation. Comfortable, spotless, friendly owners with a warm welcome. True Cornish hospitality! A wide selection of food and drinks for breakfast, including fresh fruit. Also there is a good choice of cooked breakfasts.

The perfect place to stay

Had a lovely stay at Trewithian Farm. There was everything I needed, friendly hosts, great location and the room was clean and bright and spacious. There was a great choice for breakfast with local products and great coffee.

Mini break

Had a lovely 5 night stay here. The breakfast choice is really good. Diet time now!! Wendy is a friendly host and goes out if her way to make sure everything is ok, along with the rest of her team. Staying there again next year 🤗

Trewithian B&B

Another fantastic stay here. Wendy and her team provide a fantastic service. The rooms are clean and the beds comfy. The breakfast is incredible. The communal TV/lounge room was really convenient especially as we were travelling with a baby. I cannot recommend this anymore, we will definitely be back. Thanks again Wendy for a lovely stay.

Fantastic stay yet again!

Staying here is a superlative experience. The quality of service, range of products and necessaries in the bedrooms, individually cooked breakfast with large range of dishes available, together would shame many a top hotel.  400/500 year old farmhouse with large, gracious rooms, excellent decoration and no trace of that smell of damp that often goes with old properties like this.  And tariff is rediculously  low.. Definitely one to remember and recommend.

Best B&B in the country!

We absolutely loved our stay here. Our hosts were so welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was lovely and big overlooking the farm at the back. Breakfast was delicious and we got to know all the resident animals, including the dogs, cats and the very amusing parrot that speaks to you when you come in at night. The property is around 500 years old and full of character. Portscatho and its pubs, restaurants and shops are a very pleasant 30 minute walk away along the coast. Special shout out to the lovely gentleman on the farm who let me meet the border collies and cuddle the puppy ♥️ It made my trip! I would love to stay here again if I'm ever in the area.

Charming farmhouse with a menagerie of animals

Despite a pandemic we were welcomed warmly and the room was spotless. The attention to detail was a lovely touch and not gone unnoticed. Food and service was excellent. My only regret is that I didn’t find out the name of my new feathered friend!! 

Delightful 

Me and my partner came down for the one night at the beginning of August this year and had a fabulous time. 

The location of the b&b is technically just off a main road, however coming from Bristol this road is not what we would consider busy or loud in any sense! The only thing I'd be mindful of is if you're travelling without a car the nearest village is about a half an hour walk down the road, but we had a car and had checked this out prior to staying here so no issues for us. 

The b&b building itself is beautiful - yes there's a few bits of wear and tear here and there but that's to be expected of any listed building and the decor was appropriate to the farmyard style. 

The room itself was homely, the bed was extremely comfortable and we had no issues with noise etc during the night. We also chose to stay in the room with a private bathroom attached, which was spacious and stocks the best smelling shower gel and hand wash we've ever come across (we even took a picture of it and bought some ourselves afterwards!)

We checked in earlier than is usual due to having some activities in the local area booked and Wendy was very accommodating to this, even making sure our room was ready when we arrived which we were really appreciative of. When we returned in the evening there was a canister of fresh milk left at our door which was a lovely touch.

Breakfast was lovely and the quality of the bacon and sausages in particular was very good. 

With regards to staying here during COVID-19, the safety measures had been taken properly and we were put at ease immediately - Wendy has her visor and hand gel is available, breakfast is a pre order and time slot system with socially distanced tables which worked really well.

All in all we had a fabulous stay and would definitely come back here for more than one night. Wendy you are a wonderful host and you should be very proud of your business and the standards you keep, thank you :)
