Decided to have a cheeky night away locally,  known the watermans for years. 
Booked via booking.com and was charged twice! Once by a company which watermans uses then again on check in.

Anyway the pub is quaint amd set in a lovely location....however we wasn't told there was a wedding reception that night and the pub was heaving and banging music from the marquee 

Drinks are extortionate,  £25 for 2 double gins !  £5.50 a pint ,luckily we bought our own ! 
The food is pricey  but very good and tasty , service was quick despite the huge wedding.
Staff are lovely

Breakfast  was ok....sausages were poor despite being local produce!   Watery eggs and fatty bacon ....least the plates were hot !

For what it costs for a night's stay I would expect a higher standard for the rooms.....dusty,  windows broken and the noise from the kitchen fan going on at 7am !
Not sure I'd stay again but would visit for a pint just to enjoy the view 

If you are fond of the Irish you'll love it , the pub is full of all Irish staff and ALOT  of Irish guests, almost like this is a famous pub in Ireland 🇮🇪 

Lovely scenery but let down 

Wonderful find great location by the river to sit outside for an evening drink.
Stayed one night rooms are comfortable and functional good ensuite.

Evening meal was good pub food only disappointment was that my wife is Gluten free and the nothing shown on the menu, staff helped as best they could to look at what she could have, but lack of knowledge let them down.
Great place to bring your dog!

Short one night stay

We came for a family holiday and absolutely loved the setting and the attentive staff were just brilliant. The cost of drinks was good and the food was fab. We can't wait to visit again soon, thank you Sarah!

Best pub in the area

Met my best friend at this lovely pub at Beau Bridge on 08/05/2022 and had fantastic time, sat outside and ate a lovely roast and met the landlady who was super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I haven’t stayed overnight yet but I will even though I only live up the road in Totnes. Can highly recommend this fine establishment I know I will be visiting again very soon.  Well done Sara, you and your lovely family are doing a stirling job. 
To all you negative feedbackers …..go somewhere else!

Sunday fun day

After paying what I thought was an extortionate price (£3.10) for a Fever Tree slimline tonic at another pub/hotel in Somerset about 4 weeks ago I have  been keeping track of prices in pubs and hotels and most are about £2.50 and £3.00 at the most. However, I was pleased to pay only £2.20 in Kingsteignton last night. So I couldn’t believe the cost of the identical drink today at the Waterman’s Arms today -  £3.25!!! How can they justify this? It is only 200ml and is more expensive than half a pint of beer which has tax included.

Stayed here for 1 night, took my 2 dogs and had a meal in the pub on saturday night, room was lovely, very clean and fresh, food amazing, and staff lovely and friendly, highly recommend and will definitely return soon.

Night away

Idyllic spot to stay and eat!! We found the Waterman’s arms by accident driving back from Brixham and looking for somewhere to eat. The tables outside and on the terrace were first come first served which was handy considering most places these days are booked up well in advance!! Food was amazing and very reasonably priced with great portions. Recommend the pizza shack if you want a break from seafood!! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Mix of locals and visitors which was nice and enjoyed a lovely evening by the water.

Hidden gem

Booked this as a last minute get away where we could take our 6month old puppy. They also don’t charge extra for this which is a huge plus. 
This was such a good find, what an absolute gem of a place. Such a dog and family orientated pub, fantastic staff on site so happy to help. Nice relaxed atmosphere.
Proper old fashioned country pub feel, really warm and welcoming.
We had a room In the main building, really nicely decorated, very clean comfortable and has all you’d need. Had a wonderful nights sleep. 
Food is fantastic and they were happy to cater for a fussy puppy with adding the odd bit of chicken at dinner time and sausage at breakfast. 
Overall excellent place to stay, and good value for money. Will definitely return.

Absolute gem of a place.

Accommodation corridor smell is overpowering with air fresheners which makes you feels nauseous.I removed spiders out the windows with a small webb cocooned spider noticed on the bathroom door. Food is poor with lasagne burnt for dinner. Breakfast is average. Staff going through the motions but not overly helpful.

Poor performance

Beautiful Inn in the best location,  comfortable rooms which were clean with plenty of extras. The staff were friendly and made our stay very welcome especially Hannah Thank you for a great weekend. Highly recommend well worth a visit , we will return
