Great hotel cracking food and owners are lovely would recommend to anyone traveling up this way. Views from the hotel are outstanding looking around the hills. Also a nice we nature walk 2 mins away with a stunning river and more views of the hillside.

Wow, food is absolutely amazing.We can be fussy and they catered for our every whim, Bev and Tony are so helpful and accomodating.The staff were friendly and helpful.Will definitely eat here again.Even called a taxi for 2 of our party who weren't staying there.

Morefield motel

We stayed here with Britstops in the van. We booked in advance as it is popular. The welcome was warm, friendly and efficient. The specials menu focusses on seafood, but if that isn’t your thing, there is plenty of other choice on the regular menu . The choice of beers was good too. We will definitely stop by on our next visit to the area.

I’ve just been for an evening meal and it was fab! Lovely, friendly service (I always appreciate a smile & manners and they had those for sure!), also delicious, fresh food. Wish I could’ve gotten a room there, but it’s a good sign that they were fully booked.

My brother and i planned our NC500 trip in Mar 2021 when Covid was still a thing. We mostly booked b and bs who would tell us to book dining. When we booked Ullapool we stayed at a hotel, and there were plenty of dining places advertising so we left it til we turned up to find out that places shut on Monday. Also summer season ends 31 Aug, so staff are away on their holidays
. 
We asked our hotel for a recommendation and they recommended Morefield, which we booked immediately.  Its 15 minutes walk down a proper footpath. 
We were not disappointed. Morefield has an extensive high quality menu, and we had 3 courses. Service was efficient, happy, and i have no hesitation recommending this place again. 

Moral of the story? When you book your Ullapool accomodation, book this place for food!

Choose here to eat First!

We visited this motel as part of a haggis motorcycle tour of Scotland and it was brilliant in every way.

The accommodation that we were in consisted of chalet style rooms that were very comfortable and had everything that you needed. While they were very basic, there was nothing missing and the room made for a very comfortable stay.

The food was excellent and the evening menu was massive with so many choices that I would find it hard to believe that any person would struggle to find something that They liked.

The night that we stayed at the motel, it was full with local people and in my opinion that can’t be a bad sign.

I would have to say that part of the charm of this place, are the owners who work very hard to make people feel relaxed and taken care of in a normal way, Without any pretence. 

In my opinion their approach to customer service is to treat you more like a friend than a customer and that involves conversations and banter!!!! And the daughter of the owners is absolutely brilliant at that.....a real hard working lass, who enjoys her job, gets every order spot on and keeps the front of house working like clockwork 

If you want to stay in a real place, with brilliant food and fantastic service then this is the place for you, however, if you want people to curtesy at your feet............don’t go to Scotland 



Great family run motel with lots of character 

Stayed here for a night whilst driving the NC500 - cant go wrong for the price. Rooms clean - shower surprisingly powerful! We had dinner in the restaurant and it was fantastic - seemed quite popular as it started filling up fast. Staff all very chatty and friendly.

No complaints

arrived cold and soaked to the bone,  rooms are clean and warm. Shower (20 mins ) was excellent.  Staff went above and beyond to dry our clothing, went to the restaurant for a meal and it was fantastic,  Staff and owner are a credit to the hospital industry.  We will be back next year its a keeper.  PS Breakfast is epic 👍👍

Cold motorcycle trip heaven

We were staying in a lovely B&B nearby during a government ban on indoor restaurants serving meals after 6pm because of COVID19.

Our host didn't offer evening meals but recommended Morefield Motel. Their website advertised food deliveries so we phoned an order from their online menu, which offered a good choice. The food arrived within a few minutes and both looked and tasted good. It was hot and satisfying.

We discovered that the Motel was also offering restaurant service outdoors under an awning and that heaters were provided. So next evening we tried it. Despite needing our outdoor clothing for warmth, we enjoyed the experience. Once again, meals were well-presented and well-cooked.

The business has friendly, enterprising owners who went the extra mile to provide good hospitality in hostile conditions which had been imposed at short notice by government order. They deserve to be supported and I would be very happy to visit if I get to Ullapool again.

This place goes the extra mile

wasn't expecting a lot for the price but I got so much more than I expecting. Warm welcome but owners and taken to our room, great that you can park right outside your door. Room has all you'll need. Clean and tidy. Food in restaurant is fantastic and breakfast was so good and hot. Would recommend 100%.
