Our room not worth the price we paid, blinds broken and slats missing, curtains very difficult to close, not rectified despite speaking to the manager,
The whole area needs upgrading, the carpet on the stairs and corridor to rooms was filthy and gave a poor first impression, notices written on scraps of paper not professional, the lighting in the corridor is on a sensor which goes off to quickly, shower ok but too high and no where to put your toiletries, missing hook on back of bathroom door and bathroom smells of drains. We did make the manager aware of the issues

Booked last minute and stayed in room two. This is pub accommodation and the rooms are clean and fair for what you pay.

There's plenty of free parking and it's located on the A5 so central for everywhere on Anglesey. You book in at the bar, where staff are friendly and happy to help. They'll give you your room key plus a key to access the pub after hours.

Room two is upstairs. Bear in mind that this pub often hosts workmen so shared areas like the corridors can look a little grubby. Our room was clean though, with nice linen and fresh towels. The mattresses are VERY soft, which we're not used to, but we slept really well even with the mouse from the pub. If there's music, it all ends at 11pm and everything is really quiet after that. We left our window open because of the warm summer night.

There's tea, coffee, hairdryer, water and everything you could need. Toiletries are provided. The bathroom is fairly small and clean. The shower could probably use a bleach spray and if you're more than chunky you might struggle to get in and out!

Breakfast was lovely. No complaints. Overall, a fair price for a pub stay.

Popped in for an impromptu lunch - had a sharing platter - was delicious 😋

Bull hotel food fab!

Went for a cavery  and yes the website does say when it runs out no more left.
Not to have a Yorkshire pudding on a carvery menù was poor.  One chef said making no more then another said  they were making some more. Sticky tables , cauliflower cheese was in a dirty tap water look a like .. all stalks on veg tough 

Absolutely disappointed for a first time visit

We visited due to racing at  Trac Mon, We came as a family. 
On entry my first thoughts were I found it strange not a reception area to check in, you had to walk through the bar with luggage, it was very loud and quite intimidating.
Anyway we collected key and went up… the carpet had seen better days on the stairs and hallway absolutely filthy!  Anyway into the room was actually ok budget room but clean, white towels provided and looked pretty new and also some nice bottles of water and toiletries. 
I then went and had food in the restaurant and thought it was going to be bad however how wrong was I ?! The food was INCREDIBLE!! Service was outstanding & then again we ate there the next night too and again was amazing food & service.
Check out was a pain as it said open at 7 but no one was around till 8am and we had a 6 hour journey so wanted to set off early and there was no key drop box !
I would stay here again next year 


Visit to Anglesey due to motor racing 

Booked a table for Sunday Lunch (Carvery)  . we had not been since before Covid, and we used to visit most weeks, we were expecting the same wonderful carvery.  What a disappointment..  The restaurant was almost empty and not warm.  The food from the carvery was served on cold plates, and the food was only  warm.
Not enjoyable at all, such a shame as the place used to be first class.  Children running round the room and kept opening the fire door to access the garden. It was a cold day, so I had to keep getting up to close the door.
All in all, not a goof experience, and I feel it will be a while before we visit again.

Sunday Lunch

The food, and portions of it were mediocre in taste at best, one serving was requested rare steak, it came in as medium, it was requested to be replaced, and the server offered to cook it some more???, Irish Coffee that had either little or no whiskey in it, the only reason that 2 stars were given was because of the desert.

Rather worryingly a conversation i’ve just had with my mother, was that she saw the person in the kitchen grab hold of the chips by hand, NO GLOVES or anything to put onto the plate, now if the one member of our group who is autistic and adhd had seen this, we would have had major problems because he hates anyone else handling his food by hand.

Sorry but i would not recommend this place to anyone, for the amount we spent, the food did not match the price

Not the best place to go

Stayed for a night 15th October. Was greeted by the manager who checked us in and directed us to our room which was in the building outside. The room was warm and clean although a little bit dated. 
Decided to book an evening meal and was informed that they had a party booked but would happily accommodate us. We ordered the tempura prawns and chicken wings as starters and curry for the mains. The food arrived quickly and was really good    
Although the curry was a bit on the spicy side but didn’t spoil it for us. 
All in all excellent value for money, good service and the food was great. 


Enjoyable stay

Stayed here on my own for two nights whilst walking in various locations around the Island. Lovely room, small but big enough for a single. Modern furniture, comfy bed and a well fitted bathroom.The whole Hotel is very clean.  Lovely Bar area with some excellent cask ales and a very smart restaurant. Excellent full Welsh breakfast and plenty of choice. Very good menu in the evening . The food was excellent and very generous portions. lovely attentive staff. To cap to all, a very reasonable price of just £63 per night B&B, Thoroughly enjoyable and I will most certainly use it again as a base for my walking.

A little gem on a beautiful island

I needed a room to stay in Anglesey at very short notice. This was the only place I found with a vacancy. Now I understand why...Read on.
On arrival at the pub after a long drive we were welcomed by bar staff that seemed indifferent to our presence. In other words we waited and waited to be acknowledged by one of them. They had very clearly seen us. we were the only people standing at the bar and several bar staff looked directly  us, but appeared not to recognise us waiting.
Eventually we were handed the keys and told "the room is round the back, on the outside".
My god what a room it was.
Outside, the car park was fenced off by building site style hoardings. The car park surface would have presented a formidable challenge to any 4x4 off roader. Outside our allocated room was what appeared to be a fly tipped oven or other kitchen appliance. The block was reminiscent of an American Motel room where you go to be murdered.
On entering the room an unpleasant odour met us. I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Bates Motel sprang to mind. 
On entering the bathroom it was grubby and dirty. Holes in the wall where the towel rail had been pulled off. 
SLUGS IN THE SHOWER!
The toilet looked like it had never seen a squirt of bleach.
The bed stunk. I don't know what it was but some kind of heady mixture of cigarettes, bad breath and sweaty bodies.
Power points hanging off the wall.
Cigarette burnt bedside furniture.
I was expecting to wake the next morning with a rash or worse.
The breakfast was a shocker.
Starting with self serve cereals and Juice.
I opted for muesli. There was no where to put empty cartons so the table was littered with previous guests rubbish.
I poured a glass of orange juice and sat down.
As soon as I lifted the glass to take a sip my nose was filled with such a filthy stench I almost wretched. I put down the glass and sniffed my hands. I thought I must have put my hand in god knows what. Nothing. i picked up the glass, sniffed again and there it was, an open sewer smell.
I asked my wife to check and she was equally repulsed.
The dishwasher must be filthy.
I goes without saying the thought of eating anything off plates and dishes or drinking from cups or glasses that had been in that stinking filth was off-putting.
Never the less the cooked breakfast arrived.
The egg was struggling to keep its yolk above the sea of oil swirling around the plate.
The sausage looked like it had been reheated until it resembled the slug in the bathroom.
The rest of the food just looked greasy and un appetizing.
On the day of our departure. it was an early alarm setting and a rapid evacuation from this place.
