An  amazing return visit.  We were warmly greeted by our hosts Linda and Stuart .  Cornerways is a beautiful house where we feel relaxed the minute we enter.  It is tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and very quiet. We particularly appreciate the optional  continental breakfast served in a picnic basket and delivered to your room at your chosen time.  This stay was primarily to visit the Bonchurch Open Gardens which was an absolute delight Cornerways is situated only a ten minute stroll from the village so a car was not necessary (no parking hassle involved), A shuttle bus was on hand for transport between various gardens if required. All in all a fantastic weekend and one we intend to repeat next year. Cornerways has a 100% recommendation from us!

A Fantastic Return Visit

Great hosts, great hotel, basket breakfasts were lovely. 5 min walk to the volunteer, 10 minute walk to the shops and restaurants, 20 min walk to the spyglass inn. If your eating out in Ventnor it's advised to book as restaurants are small and busy. 

Nice 3 day break. 

Excellent place to stay, though a little way out of the town centre. Nice quiet area.
The accommodation was very comfortable , clean , and beautiful decor/ furnishings , in keeping with a building of that age, although our room was a bit small.
The continental breakfasts were varied in choice, and not overpriced. Guests could make teas/ coffees whenever they want , in the breakfast room , full choice of teas.
We would definitely go there again, and recommend to friends.

Relaxing stay.

Lovely place to stay, very quiet, spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable.  Stuart was very friendly and helpful,  always willing to advise on where to go and what to see. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful and comfortable stay

Great place to rest your head. High quality room, friendly and helpful staff, clean and great value for money. Sumptuous bed. Excellent healthy breakfast brought to your room. I would certainly go back and would also recommend to friends.

Superb quality and great value

Cornerways provides a comfortable and cosy base for a stay in Ventnor. Spotlessly clean, unlimited facilities for making drinks, chilled water and very hospitable and helpful owners. Continental breakfasts brought to your room in a picnic basket add to the comfort and charm. Highly recommended.

Wonderful sea views and comfort in Ventnor 

When searching for somewhere to stay close to Ventnor, I came across this accommodation. To be honest, it looked too good to be true with 5 star ratings and an extremely competitive (low!) price. Well, I'm just adding my own 5 star rating because there is nothing to dislike about this place. It's ideally located around ten minutes walk from Ventnor, there is plenty of parking available. Four places on site and lots of street parking if you cannot get one of those places. Our room was light and airy with great views and of a very good standard. We paid a little extra for the lovely breakfast which was just perfect. I spoke to Stewart the owner a couple of times and he is just a really nice and friendly bloke and made my wife and I feel very welcome. Businesses are facing such uncertain times with the cost of energy and food going up so much, I sincerely hope great little places like this survive and thrive.

Super find

A recent stay at Cornerways proved to be the best stay we have ever had on the Isle of Wight - and we've had more than a few over 50 years!

* Our room - Large, airy, two large windows with lovely views of the sea and downs. Beautifully furnished and decorated - and an extremely comfortable bed.

* The optional picnic breakfast (small fee) was just perfect.  Healthy, fresh and with a great choice. Delivered to our room at our chosen time with the added choice of being able to eat it in our room, the dining room or in the garden.

*Parking. No problem for us parking off road at the b and b  but also parking available in nearly roads.

Stuart and Linda personally manage all aspects of their beautiful b and b.  Conveniently situated between Bonchurch and Ventnor, we found it to be an easy stroll to Ventnor for an evening meal (good restaurants too, particularly The Bistro!) or you can take  a  more energetic walk up the rather steep hill to the Bonchurch Inn (very quaint), passing the lovely village pond en route.

Thank you so much Stuart and Linda for your genuine hospitality . Our stay with you was faultless. We shall always return to Cornerways on our future visits to Bonchurch and Ventnor.

Simply the Best!

We were greeted by Stuart , who made us very welcome.  The room was lovely, it felt like staying in a friend's guest room, which was spotless and well appointed with a large bathroom and separate dressing room. The breakfast picnic was excellent and very fresh, we ate outside. The extra touches were lovely such as the excellent toiletries in refillable bottles, cold water available in the fridge in the dining area as well as fresh milk. I think you would find it hard to find anywhere better to stay on The Island.

A real home from home

Can't speak highly enough of Cornerways. Linda and Stuart are fantastic hosts and went out of their way to help us with dinner bookings, suggestions for local trips and making our stay as comfortable and friendly as possible. 
Breakfast was great, plenty to chose from and really thoughtfully presented. 
Our room was lovely and airy, beds very comfortable and bathroom modern and spotless. The whole place is really clean, welcoming and with lovely outside and inside areas to sit and have breakfast or a drink with lovely views.
Great to have access to a fridge for cold drinks etc. 
Location is great. Lots of places to walk to and drive to. 
Hoping to return.
