There is a clock tower right outside which chimes on the hour every hour( not jut 1 chime whatever the hour that's how many chimes there are). The walls are paper thin so could hear everything next door were doing ( making drinks going toilet etc and they were up at 6am to leave). There was a rave party next door, which wasn't too bad if the fire door wasn't proping open with the fire extinguisher, so we shut the fire escape door. The bathroom door needs attention as if you shut it it sticks badly and had to force open when wife couldn't get out. ( you can tell this is an issue as the inside handle of the bathroom is bent as so many times people trying to exit). Only 1 pillow per bed. Room 4.

Not worth £90.

Went here today for sunday lunch and wow 👌 it didnt disappoint. The food didnt take long to come to the table and it very tasty. The Gammon was very soft and tender and the veg was very soft just how i like them, gravy was spot on x the staff are very friendly and we was made to feel very welcome. We live in Burgh le marsh so we will definitely be back 10/10.

The Sunday dinner was extremely nice, lots of choice of fresh seasonal veg and very friendly staff amazing!

Good Sunday dinner

We visited Wainfleet with the intention of shopping for a specific item but found the shop closed. As it was lunch time we tried the Woolpack. I am in total agreement with earlier reviews that this is a gem. We both had vegetable lasagne and it was the best we have ever had. Staff were friendly and service very good. We will be back.

Good Find

One will see from the amount of 'Reviews' that I have undertaken, that I really do try to look at each venue objectively, and I intend to do just that with the Woolpack.
My wife and I had been out for a mornings 'cruise' around the coastal area, and came across Wainfleet on our way toward Boston. The car park in the middle of this delightful small quaint town was relatively quiet and parking was easy.  Across the road was the Woolpack Hotel, which in former years must have been at the hub of this town.   Lunches were advertised, and we entered.  Our welcome was extreemly warm, and the young barman was quick to explain the menus, and advised where we could sit for a meal.   This hotel must have an extraordinary past, as it is large and made up of a number of rooms, all furnished in a somewhat 'eclectic' manner, but very pleasant and apparently I would suggest finding it difficult to run as a viable business.
Our order was taken, our drinks refreshed, and after a very short time our meal of 'gammon, eggs and chips ' was served.   A simply superb meal, with all the trimmings you could wish for, and at very very fair price.  10/10 to the chef, but I hope someone is caring about portion control, as this meal was certainly one for a hungry soul.   No 'designer' has been anywhere near the furnishings of this establishment, but it was clean and just delightful.
I really wish the encumberts good luck, I would love to return, and for anybody passing through, this is a pub/hotel? that I can highly recommend for a really interesting stop.

What an interesting find, hunt for it !

We asked if the dog could come into the pub as we wanted to eat ,and they where very welcoming,gave him water and a biscuit.
Food was tasty and a good price ,I had chilli and  asked if it was hot,the bar lady said she doesn’t eat meat so couldn’t comment,her colleague said it’s warming inside ,it came with nachos was really tasty and flavoursome .
My husband had steak and all the trimmings all,cooked to how he likes it and pipping hot 
We played darts,and the bar,lady gave them to us for free  no deposit needed .
Really enjoyed our few hours at the Woolpack .

Dog friendly great food welcoming

Just had the best Sunday lunch. Quality ingredients, big portions and cooked to perfection. Service was really good with friendly proactive staff. Great value too. Roast £11.95 and puddings £5.95. All amazing homemade food. Clean venue which is really important to us. We will be going again and recommend that you give this a try.

Best Sunday roast

Our room in this lovely pub overlooked the marketplace but we had no noise issues. The room was clean, the bed comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary toiletries too. The landlady who showed us to the room was very welcoming. We had some confusion about whether breakfast was included. It is not included despite what is being said on the booking websites. Great stay.

Friendly welcome

Spent a week in Wainfleet and visited The Woolpack every day. Very friendly, lovely menu and food and dog friendly.  We shall be returning in September and again this will be our local for the week. Outside seating area, games area and comfortable bar/ seating area.

Lovely friendly pub

Lovely meal, staff and regulars were so welcoming. Good selection of food and didn’t have to wait long to be served. We  were staying locally and took our two dogs with us. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend, great value for money too
