Just returned from a 2 night stay using an Itison voucher, fantastic value for money. Lovely comfortable hotel with fantastic food and very and helpful staff. I manged to somehow break the lock on my room door and we were moved to another room without even asking, fanastic service! The lounge is very warm and welcoming which was appreciated after returning from a long walk at Keilder Forest in wet and blustery conditions. The food was excellent value for money and the portions were very generous ideed. Breakfast was excellent on both mornings, good choice and great quality.

Great Family Run Hotel

Was staying for 3 nights , on booking I was made welcome shown to my room. That evening I went for a shower only to find the water was very ,very hot tried to adjust but with no luck, I explained to the owner , I was given an other room to shower but same situation. I was informed that plumber would be called out next day. Arrived back next evening only to find the situation wasn't fixed. Next morning no water , thank God I had water in the kettle to have a wash. I explained the situation at breakfast and the response from the member of staff was ' oh okay ' no apology or refund for that night. The breakfast on departure the sausages seemed cooked the night before, and because I raised the issue about the water it felt I was causing them a problem. Room 5 is not a great room if anyone is going there this week end . Good luck

NO WATER IN ROOM 5!!!!!!!!

Visited this place for a late Sunday dinner after being to Winter Wonderland in Kielder. It was perfect for what we wanted - very welcoming, friendly atmosphere, lovely staff and gorgeous food, not to mention the roaring log fire and beautiful Christmas decorations. I would highly recommend this place and look forward to returning.

Perfect place to eat after visiting Kielder

Stayed in my camper but used the bar and had dinner. Staff were lovely, and food excellent. Had a starter, muffin with haggis, bacon and poached egg and then giant Yorkshire with Roast Beef, so much so the dog had to help me out! V dog friendly. Also able to watch the rugby World Cup final so v happy.

Friendly with good food

Lovely friendly staff, always with a smile. Delicious food and a good variety to choose from. Dog friendly, with my girls being served before us (just as they like it). This was our 3rd visit since the new owners took over earlier this year and they've made the Redesdale Arms our preferred place to go for a meal when we are north of Yorkshire.  

Love this place

Family run hotel by a family who work really hard and well as a team, nothing is to much trouble should things go a bit wrong they all muck in and sort it in a professional manner.
Food is good quality home cooking and to die for as are the views from the front of the hotel highly recommend a beer or two on the front to chill you out ready for your time exploring the area from this lovely base, they also accept campers foc overnight in the car park in return for eating in the restaurant for an evening meal, breakfast or both which come highly recommended by me.

Proper family run hotel

Absolutely excellent stay from start to finish, lovely clean hotel run by a family who work so well together as a team nothing is to much trouble for them they really do care about thier guests, food is absolutely spot on as is the location and veiws from the front, good size car park and accept campers foc provided they eat in the hotel for either dinner, breakfast or both, what's not to like???

Superb family run hotel.

Stayed overnight while walking the Pennine Way. The Redesdale arms is modern and updated inside and very very clean. The welcome and goodbyes were a friendly and first class . We ordered a Sunday lunch which was excellent and dry inexpensive. On request we were provided with a packed lunch and a very early continental breakfast which was very filling. In short I would recommend the Redesdale Arms to any and every walker.

Highly recommended 

We were staying in Otterburn for a few days and popped in here for an early evening meal. Received a lovely warm welcome and our dog was given a dog biscuit and offered a bowl of water, then shown to a window table. They have a separate gluten free menu which had a decent choice. There were a couple of things on the gf menu not available but what I did have was delicious. We both had carrot soup then I had gf smoked fish and spinach fish cakes which were very tasty indeed. Hubby had the Sunday roast, beef, and he said it was lovely. No room for puddings and clean plates all round. Would recommend a visit here, very friendly staff and a lovely restaurant area.

Early evening meal for 2 adults and one dog

Disappointed that they advertise Sky Sports on the website and after travelling some distance to watch a match while in the area only to be told they don’t. Wasted journey 😫fortunately one of the other guests was able to give us the name of somewhere else to go
