My self and a group of friends stayed here for an evening. On arrival we were a little confused on check in and the landlady appointed us a member of staff to help us get settled , she was really rushed of her feet with it being a busy pub and asked us kindly to wait one moment . The landlady then shouted across a very busy  bar girls come to the bar and get checked in. We haven’t been girls for years were grown woman with husbands  . I felt really embarrassed by this and thought how unprofessional. We were shown to the rooms by the member of staff working that evening and she was great and the rooms were really clean and she told us to relax and treat it as our own as we were the only people staying  on the top floor. We were just beginning to enjoy our night and get ready for our little outing when the landlady came to the top floor and shouted at us for laughing , we were all very put back by this as we had all ensured that we respected others and couldn’t understand how it would effect anyone as the pub was very packed and loud in its self  “which we understood as we booked to stay in a pub”  . We had all intentions of spending our well earned money in the bar but the way she spoke to us we chose to go out and skip drinking in the punch bowl as we all felt uncomfortable. On our arrival home the party got split and some of the others had headed of in front  which left my self and one other on a dark side street Looking for our key to get in . On trying to ring my hubby to let us in the land lady shouted out the window what the hell are you doing my friend apologised and explained we were looking for the key to which she replied if you carry on il grab your bags and chuck them on the street . In the morning when we come to leave we spent half an hour picking up broken glass out of the car park so we could move our cars . We all left earlier than check out as we felt so uncomfortable . It’s a shame that the  service was so poor and we were treated like children.

Really poor service

Where do I even start!!! 
Myself and 5 other friends booked here for my sisters birthday firstly we pulled up and couldn’t get parked! Then got told to park somewhere pay and display when this hotel offers free parking, we then went to book in the land lady with blonde hair wasn’t accommodating at all felt like we were an inconvenience for her, the other lady that showed us to our rooms was lovely!! So helpful and happy, you get a kitchen to share and as we booked 3 rooms we didn’t have to share the kitchen with any other people so we had some drinks in there before we went out and as we were leaving to go out for the night the land lady come up to us and was so rude about us laughing saying your not the only ones here you no!! The beds are very cheap and uncomfortable. Would recommend if it wasn’t for the landlady. There will be another 5 reviews to follow as this has upset us all!! 

Terrible service 

The pub was a great price for the location which is just a 5 minute walk to the market square at most. The pub itself is great with a good selection of drinks and has big screens up for sports, definitely a pub i would visit regularly if i lived in the area.
The room was really cosy and warm and had all the add ons you'd normally expect (TV, kettle, iron etc), the bathroom was modern and looked really nice.
The bed was comfy enough but i doubt i could have slept in it for more than 2-3 nights in a row. Breakfast was supplied even though booking.com said it wouldn't be which was a nice surprise.
Only negatives i can think of are we had no wifi coverage in our room and the shower pressure was very poor.
Overall though our stay here was really good and i'd definitely stay again if we return to Warwick.

Exactly what we needed for our stay in Warwick

Lovely big bar area , couple of TVs showing footy. Not into sport but not my thing. But everybody was having a great time. There was a singer on at 9. History snippets all over the walls, giving people plenty of historical facts about the area. Also a pool table in a different room

Sports bar

Visited The Punchbowl on Saturday night with friends who live in the area. Lovely pub, friendly service, and the band that was on "Evolve" were absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere was brilliant. We will be back!

Fantastic live music

We visited Warwick for the races and booked a room at The punch bowl. The  greeting was a bit confused, we had 2 rooms booked but they initially only gave us one, and it took quite a bit of explaining to get the second. 
The room was lovely and spacious, but the bathroom was over the corridor, luckily mine was directly over the hall so i could time my visit when i knew no-one was passing. 
The TV in my room did not work, but i did not discover this till night so did not have anyone available to fix it. 
The breakfast offered was poor, and no space to eat it except back in your room, so we opted to go to a local cafe for breakfast instead. 
The car park was very small, and in the morning i was blocked in by a delivery lorry so not ideal. 
However, the bed was comfy enough, the rooms were clean and spacious and the bathroom had all the required essentials.

Leave an expensive car in the car park and feel happy I dare you ! Yes it's a pub with rooms but really loud bands and traffic noise. No. Clean yes and helpful staff and a good location probably but I'm going home tomorrow regardless.

Noise

The rooms are comfortable we was there for two nights , kitchen was next to our room , where you helped yourself. Was a little noisy at times . The location is spot on minutes from the centre and the castle , plus you can park which is a bonus in Warwick

After receiving a pint of lager which was on par with malt vinegar, I asked the barmaid to exchange it. I was met with a barrage of abuse and then the landlady joined in. I'm sure she has no experience in the trade and her customer service left a lot to be desired. I would advise anyone that enjoyes traditional ales to avoid this establishment and find somewhere that appreciates your business!

Quiet pint

Such a lovely welcome. Upstairs in an old fashioned proper pub, the room was lovely. Updated with an en-suite bathroom, spotlessly clean, TV and tea/coffee with biscuits provided. And decent size cups. Continental breakfast provided in a kitchen only available to residents. Facility to cook own meals if desired.

Located in a perfect position within Warwick. Can just leave the car and walk.

Would definitely return.
