We had eaten here many times a year since they opened, bringing our well behaved rescue dog when they started the outdoor dining. We went to especially eat there for a special occasion last year to be told NO DOGS.
Rudely suggested we sat at a tiny table on the pavement with a very busy footfall of passing public.
Probably not legal to do so. In any case we avoid spending our money there now, apart from the dog situation the staff seem very abrupt and rude. 
Pity as it used to be so good.

Unfriendly

Fabulous stay. The staff are so friendly felt like we new them a lifetime. Megan and the waitresses were brilliant in making sure we were looked after. Mary who does behind the scene stuff made sure our room was spotless. Hairdryer iron and ironing board all provided. The manager should be proud of its staff. Food was lovely. Would definitely stay again.

Harry’s lounge

The room was very well presented, with lots of complimentary beverages, including the hot chocolate!  The views were amazing across the harbour up to the abbey.  Although on a main street, we were not at all disturbed by any noise from the bar or the street outside.  Lovely comfy bed too, all round a great place to stay.

Fantastic room in great location

We booked the MOËT room for 2 nights in January -  what a lovely place in a perfect location
The room was beautiful with an excellent view.
The bar was lovely with had a great atmosphere.  All members of staff were very friendly and professional - would definitely recommend and will be back

Fabulous

We always visit Harry’s for a meal as we know we will get a fabulous experience. And this time was no exception! 

The steak was beautifully cooked and the chowder tasty and wonderful! Everything is very well presented and served. 

Staff are great- welcoming and friendly. 
Don’t leave Whitby without eating here !

A great experience!

Nice room above the bar.  Well kept.  View of the abbey across the water. Central location.  Car parking further up round the corner in the road with a permit from the hotel. Breakfast cooked options but they accommodated my request for granola and yoghurt. Friendly staff. 

Nice room with a view. . Central location

We had a very pleasant weekend stay, the only downfall was certain points of cleanliness that lacked within the room, the toilet wasn’t very clean, the scatter cushions on the bed were stained and areas on the carpet had nail cuttings. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the food was lovely, The Moët room had fantastic views over the bay so would recommend the room for that reason.

Wonderful Whitby

Great place to visit. Whether you are visiting for a drink, some food or to stay in one of the fabulous rooms it’s well worth a visit. We stayed in one of the luxury rooms & it was well equipped & was lovely & clean. We were made to feel very welcome. The food & drinks were excellent & the staff were friendly & efficient & really knew their stuff. Would recommend to anyone visiting Whitby. Thanks to all at Harry’s.

Excellent Harry’s Bar.

First and foremost, every member of staff we encountered were incredible! They were all so gracious, helpful and friendly; they couldn't do more for us, and it was so nice to be accommodated by such happy people. Their professionalism and attitudes were impeccable!

The venue itself was a delight! Our room (Martini room) was gorgeous and spacious, incredibly clean with a wonderful view. The bed is possibly the comfiest I've ever slept in! Permit parking just around the corner was a nice advantage as well.

The restaurant is decorated beautifully and had a lovely ambience about it. The food was delicious (we had lobster and steak), and food and drinks very reasonably priced.

Thank you so much for such a perfect stay! We couldn't recommend Harry's Lounge highly enough for an overnight stay or just to eat and drink in!

Absolutely loved our stay!

Just wanted to praise everyone that works here, they have really got it together here, with cleaning after every customer and and safety measures, and all without letting the standards slip, they are very efficient and incredibly quick with their service, even in these difficult times as well as this heat
