We have a the best 4 day at no. 30. It was a special birthday and all our family and friends could stay in the same house. The bedroom are lovely with lovely pillows and comfy beds all with on suits. The kitchen is fabulous with everything you could need. The outside area was fantastic it was a little sun trap with plenty of seating for everyone. It was spotlessly clean would highly recommend this holiday home. The whole booking went very smoothly with excellent communication thank you for more wonderful memories 

Birthday weekend

We stayed for one night room only basis. Check in very smooth, we had room 1 on first floor. The room was large and very clean. In addition to a very comfy king size bed there was also a leather sofa. En-suite bathroom was very clean. Tea / coffee available.
Location was excellent for Whitby town centre (approx 5 min walk away)
We parked in Silver St car park although the owner does have permits available for on street parking.
We would definitely stay here again on return visits to Whitby.

Excellent

Myself and my patner stayed here on Saurday night after booking last minute.
We were greeted by a lovely,friendly gentleman who gave us our key.
We were on the top floor in a beautiful attic room.
The room  and ensuite were very spacious and extemely clean.
The bed was very comfortable and we felt completely safe during these uncertain times.
Hudson is in a good location as only 5 mins walk to the centre.
We highly recommend this place and would return in a heartbeat.

Lovely guesthouse

We had one night stay here a couple of weeks ago, the room was large and clean but threre were no toiletries in the room and the tea and coffee etc. were downstairs in the reception.  Having booked on Booking.com, the description on here also suggests it, we were expecting breakfast only to be told on the Sunday morning, quite bluntly "You're 3 years too late for breakfast". The room is well located but £88 for a room is a lot when there are no toiletries or breakfast.

Expensive for a bed

This is a very nice place and well located in Whitby. Parking is a challenge but there is a car park not too far away. Our hosts were very nice people and carried our luggage up to our rooms. Our room was one of the re-done suites that is advertised on their website. The room our daughter and her partner had was smaller but fine. Both rooms were very clean with comfortable beds and linens. It was quiet and represented good value. 
A few suggestions for improvements:
- provide bar soap
- provide a second hand towel
- put up a couple of hooks in the bathroom
- provide instructions re: heat

A Good Choice in Whitby

We stayed here for one night with a couple of friends.   The rooms were clean and tidy.  I found it strange that there was a kettle in the room but no cups, tea,coffee etc.  When we went downstairs to go out for the evening we noticed it was on the side downstairs to help yourself to take up. (We were not told this). Rooms quiet chilly. There are no toiletries in the rooms.  Bed not the comfiest.  When we went down for breakfast we were told they don’t do it anymore even thought when we booked it through booking.com it says can be with or without breakfast


Misleading

Myself and my sister stayed at the Hudson for the goth weekend! We throughly enjoyed our stay the Hudson is very clean and the location is perfect! Will Defo stay again and recommend highly! Facilities on point

Goth weekend

All very clean and a positive review intended but little things that just need changing.... room 3 the bathroom extremely cold with no radiator or towel rail, will be too cold to shower in the colder months ... When drying hair no dresser or easy access to a 240v socket to dry / do hair in front of the mirror, had to move sets of drawers to access power socket.. Sink in bathroom no shelf or anywhere around to put or hang up your toiletry bag... Some shower gel or shampoos would be useful(forgot mine) for the £88 a night paid...... No breakfast option and no sitting area or waiting area (whilst your room to be got ready) Probably not the best idea to have in reception area a table with lots of spare toilet rolls for customers to help themselves to (just put 2 rolls in each room rather than one???... stacked next to the coffee and stuff doesnt look good.. Great location, but all in all not a memorable stay, its just missing small detail (and a radiator)... 


Clean but with suggestions 

We loved this place.  The hosts were very welcoming and helpful, then left us alone for the duration of our stay, although we knew where they were should we need anything.   It was a brilliant concept, not having to think about having the room unnecessarily cleaned when towels etc would be mixed up and our stuff being moved around.

Fantastic place to stay in Whitby.

A last minute decision to visit and stay over in Whitby left us with little choice of accommodation given it was Steam Punk weekend also. The room was clean but the heater which was on full didn't leave the room warm at all. The heater was working but not enough to be comfortable. All in all £80 was a lot for a cold room with no breakfast our advice would be to look elsewhere.
