Me and my Son stayed at Argyle house for three days 5th-7th August
The B&B was really nice, very clean too. The host Billy and his staff were very helpful and the breakfasts were lovely. Lots to do there and only being about 5 minutes from the town centre and  a couple of minutes from the sea front at West cliff.
I would definitely recommend Argyle House to anyone visiting Whitby.

Visiting Whitby for an anniverary weekend, and received a warmwelcome from Bill the owner.  We were shown to our room, which was very nicely fitted out and quiet at nights - except for a stool there was nowhere to sit except on the bed. 
The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, and the cooked breakfast was exceptional - the eggs par excellence!

A very pleasant guest house.

Lovely guest house close to Whitby town and amenities and immaculately clean rooms also comfy beds. Always a warm welcome by Bill and his team when we arrive and cooks a excellent Full English breakfast with plenty of other choices on the menu . We have stayed at the Argyle guest house for or many years and looking forward to the next one. Dave and Margaret Ashmore 

Brilliant holiday 

Had spoken on the phone with Bill prior to arrival so we knew how the parking/check in process was going to work. 
On the day it was very slick, get parking permit, find a space, it was easy. 
The room was ready and it was a nice neat room so 20 mins later we were at the regatta fair. 
Breakfast was delicious and quite adequate. Altogether a very pleasant experience, many thanks to Bill & the team.

Well worth a visit

Arrived at 9am smooth check in. Our room was ready bill the owner is lovely, even kept our friends arrival a surprise for my partner. 
Spotlessly clean room, lovely and clean with everything you possibly need. We had booked the attic room which is a bit of a hike but lovely. Breakfast was nice and cooked my fussy partners eggs just has he likes them.  Can't wait to return, nothing was too much trouble thankyou! Can't wait to return

Lovely little gem

Great guest house, host could not do enough for you, very welcoming, great breakfast, I was wheat and gluten intolerant and was fully catered for, would recommend. The bed was very comfy and the pillows were the best I have ever slept on.

Would defo recommend

Nice clean room and bed was the comfiest I’ve ever slept on great shower breakfast was excellent to all tastes great and the host was so welcoming nothing was to much trouble.
Got there late on Friday and took our bags to room while we found parking which we did eventually.

Quick weekend break

Very pleasant 3 night stay. Handy parking permit so could park close by, and Billy kindly helped lug in our big suitcase.  The location is perfect for a walk into the town (but you might need a breather on the uphill walk back though..)

Our top floor room (50 stairs) had a partial sea view, comfortable bed, nice hot shower and the TV and wifi worked perfectly. The cooked breakfast each morning (with plenty of choices/alternatives) was excellent.

Great Bed and Breakfast

the hotel location is ideal for beach and town (but Whitby is hilly so you need to be fit...). The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful and breakfast was excellent! We asked for a street parking permit and one was waiting for us when we arrived.

Fabulously welcoming

Me and my husband stayed at this guest house for the week  from 11/7/22 till 18/7/22 
And i must say i can not fault  billy who owned it  and the staff  was lovely no matter what you needed it was there  they all made us feel really welcome  couldnt do enough for us  when ever we stay in whitby again we will stay here
