It was a lovely quaint house with friendly host and beautiful gardens... breakfast was ok too.. it was a peaceful location but not a lot nearby.. unfortunately the nearby pub didn’t do meals on the night we stayed -Sunday. We did still enjoy our stay though... Only negative was at breakfast I asked for more butter and don’t think it went down well...I heard the helper comment.. oops

Country retreat

Despite the host being one of the nicest ladies you could wish to meet, the property is tired. This is a Georgian house with a large well kept frontage. On entry you immediately realise that the decor is dated and tired, as was our room. The paintwork looks dirty, (it isn't, it was clean, just looks dirty), the bathroom was functional with clean but old towels and well used floor mat. The dining room had a nice outlook, just a shame that the garden had plastic chairs, one of which was just lying about. Due to the time of year the garden wasn't as per the pictures and neither was the dining room. If you want to meet a nice caring host then this is the place for you but you may well be underwhelmed by the property overall. A bit overpriced at £120 per night. 

Lovely host but property really tired.

The owner is a lovely lady and her guesthouse is her home so I will be careful how I rate it without causing offence but unfortunately we feel it was over priced, the room we stayed in was damp behind one of the beds and there was a strong mouldy smell throughout the room. My daughters room was ok. There was windows and a glass door in the en-suite so you couldn’t have any privacy when needing to use the facilities! Just needs a bit of updating. Breakfast was really nice and we were well looked after, anything extra we asked for was catered for. It’s also Pet friendly which is good because we always struggle to find places that allow our little dog to stay.

Nice guesthouse but overpriced

Had a fantastic stay. Everyone was very friendly, rooms were lovely. Garden is a lovely size for kids to play in and felt very safe. Only a 10min drive to the beach. There is a pub just across the road and a Chinese in walking distance. The chip shop is about 4 mins down the road, which is what we had and had them in the garden.

Very friendly

We have just returned from the moorlands. Margaret is a wonderful host and nothing is too much trouble. The grounds are stunning, my daughter loved playing football and looking at all the flowers. Shower and bathroom was very big and spacious, water was lovely and hot. Would definitely recommend and would happily return. Lovely stay.

Lovely hospitality

Stayed for one evening in the top floor twin room, which was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was particularly good given the price and I would recommend the property to anyone looking for a stay near Weston Super Mare. Only slight issue with the room is that the water pressure in the bathroom was very low, which is probably not surprising given it is effectively in the roof space

Moorlands Country Guesthouse

The location was perfect and the garden was great for the dogs. The room was just what we wanted and the all of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. 
The whole stay was great value for money.

Dog Friendly Break

Great nights stay, good shower, lovely breakfast and hosts.had a lovely big room, house is gorgeous!  Would definitely stay again if we are in the area. Also pub down the road does great food and is very reasonable.

Lovely B&B

The family room is epic, only surpassed by the grounds and the breakfast. Margaret is one in a million. Will re book time and time again. Super dog friendly to boot. Loads of room for kids and dogs to run and play. True hidden gem within stones throw of a great pub too.

Hidden Gem

Pulling up at the house we all said wow. Going in smelt very musty. The room was huge and very dated all I suppose you could expect that in a old property. There was no hot water and the pressure was awful. Breakfast was lovely and all freshly cooked. 
I feel I was to expensive.
