When we arrived, we had not received the code for the key safe for our room (room 6). We rang the owner (who was not on site) to hear that we had been 'upgraded' to room 9. He gave us the code to collect that key, and we negotiated our way past the rubbish bags at the front door to find that, not only was it unlocked, the lock was actually broken!
When we got to the top of the (rather steep) stairs, we found a tired but clean room. The bed was comfortable, but the fridge was totally unsuitable for a bedroom, with a noisy fan that ran permanently.
In the bathroom, the shower screen was out of its runners, which meant that it couldn't seal and water leaked onto the bathroom floor. When we had a wash we found that there was no hot water, so we had to use the shower to put hot water into the hand basin.
On the second day of our stay (Saturday) we returned from a day out to find that the room hadn't been cleaned, the bins hadn't been emptied, the towels hadn't been replaced and the tea/coffee supplies hadn't been replenished. 
In the evening we met friends who had paid a lot less for better rooms in hotels, with breakfast (which the Florence doesn't provide).
When we left on the Sunday morning the rubbish bags were still blocking the unlockable front door. In the absence of any instructions on what to do with the keys, we left them on a numbered hook in the entrance hall. 
In future, we will avoid the Florence like the plague, and would advise others to do the same. 


Do NOT stay here 

This was a fiasco from the word go! I had asked specifically for room that was suitable for my severely disabled mother. On arrival we were greeted by two full  flights of stairs, mom was not able to even manage the first flight. I entered the room which was very basic, nothing like the photos we had visited prior to booking. 
When I called the guest house to book the room and discuss my mothers needs, I was assured that the room would be suitable with only a few stairs to navigate. We were faced with 22! Due to my mother’s significant health needs (she is in palliative care) we decided to seek alternative accommodation as this was our last holiday. 
We found alternative accommodation and tried to discuss these difficulties with the staff at the Florence Guest House, including via email. The guest house still took full payment and when I called again to discuss this, the attitude of the manager was disgusting, with him actually laughing at our situation. I would not recommend this accommodation to anyone based on the complete lack of care and consideration shown to myself and my mother who is at end of life.

Total Disappointment

Don't judge a book by it's cover is the perfect  quote for Florence Guest House. The outside is in need of some TLC  but once inside everything was perfect exactly like the photo. Only thing I should have asked about was which floor we were on, all elderly and were on the top floor but we managed. Excellent   
communication from owner. 

Good Stay Close To Seafront

I would not put my dog into the place the owner was very rude to me i had to find a different place for my friend to stay the place wasn't nice the shower did not work it is the worst place i have ever seen 

Very poor place 

I booked to go here through the app
Agoda. The booking clearly stated pay at the hotel. I phoned the hotel and spoke to the owner who was unable to comprehend that an administrative error had occurred and had cancelled my booking. Even though it clearly stated PAY AT HOTEL. Her manner was terrible and I was appalled at the low level of her intellect at dealing with a very simple situation I strongly suggest avoiding this place. 

Cancelled with 2 days notice. 

My wife and I had a two night break at the Florence. We had stayed at the Florence 3 years ago and it was every bit as good this weekend as it had been previously.  We will definitely return again. Peter and Sharon are very friendly and accommodating hosts. Rooms were clean and comfortable,  the breakfasts were great and it is conveniently located for the beach and town. It is everything we want in a B and B. 

Late Easter Break

Stayed for one night and was impressed with the location, rooms were clean and had everything that we needed.
Easy to check in and to check out and the price was good value for money.
I would definitely stay again.

Enjoyable Stay

As usual we were made to feel very welcome by Sharon & Peter, staying for 3 nights, Friday 14th September - Monday 17th September. Great accommodation, every comfort, and wonderful breakfast cooked by Peter. 
As before this is a our regular "home" when we visit Weston, and we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.
Looking forward to our next visit- hopefully at the beginning of 2019.

Top-notch- Another great time - Home from Home!!!

Stayed here last week for 2 nights and was very impressed. Room was great and very clean. Great location to Weston centre and is also quiet late at night as it's tucked away off the main drag of Weston itself. Free parking outside the property itself would have been the icing on the cake but it's wasn't a major problem for us as there's a pay and display car park at rear of the property for £6:00 for 24hrs. There is also free street parking at streets nearby as another guest advised me on the day we checked out. Would have opted for that option if we'd known or thought about it at the time. Great touch on arrival with a bottle of prosecco and chocolates! Stayed under a ROOM ONLY stay so didn't have breakfast, but I heard off another guest staying there it was great.
