Fabulous. Beautiful converted church, 2 rooms with large bedrooms, huge kitchen and lounge. Clean and comfortable, even had electric blankets! Lin and Adam the owners were delightful, Lin even picked us up from the airport and dropped us back. Fabulous breakfast cooked for us. We stayed in 8 different places on this big trip, this was by far the best.

Great b and b westray

Converting a large church hall into two large bedrooms off an enormous living/dining/kitchen area must have been quite a challenge, and overall it has been a success. 
Our room was large, clean and comfortable, and it was good to be able to prepare your own dinner from food purchased from the local shops.
Lynda was very kind running us to and from the airport and stopping at the shops - these  things made the difference to our stay.
Lynda also cooks breakfast to order using local produce where possible.
The building is quite exposed to the elements, so the additional heaters and electric blankets were appreciated during the cold weather that we  experienced.

Impressive conversion and excellent service.

Lin and Adam were the perfect hosts, who were always there to help us with valuable information for our three-day stay on Westray. Even though the building looks very rustic from the outside, everything inside is clean and comfortable. The rooms are generous and the beds are comfortable. So that the Central European guest does not freeze, there is even a heater in the bed. The breakfast was refreshed every morning at the desired time and was very tasty. From the Full Scottish to French toast everything was served.

Family B&B on Westray

Although from the outside it does not look inviting, the Reid Hall was a beautiful, clean and comfortable place with up to date amenities. We were made so welcome, and because of the weather, were invited to use the facilities out with agreed times. A lovely breakfast was made for us and the rooms were clean and inviting.

One night stay in Westry

This friendly B & B, was an ideal base for puffin spotting. The bus from the ferry dropped me off at the end of the driveway. The first building hasn't been renovated yet, but the second has been converted to a high spec.  There were 2 rooms, each with their own bathroom (the shower in mine was fabulous). It was a cold and wet day and the electric blankets on the beds were really appreciated after I was completely soaked through while puffin spotting. The kitchen and lounge have all the facilities you need, including: TV, wifi, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.  There were a choice of drinks in the bedroom and even more in the kitchen. 
There was a range of cereals, fruit and yoghurt as well as various cooked breakfast option and fruit juice. 
Linda sorted out all the buses and taxis I needed to get to the puffins and ferry and I was able to walk to the local village and chip shop. 
All in all, this felt like a little bit of luxury and a great way to recharge my batteries while staying in Orkney.
