Stayed at this hotel this weekend as I took my parents to Whitby for a wedding; this is a really good hotel with a great location and very easy to get to.

It has great facilities and the staff are fantastic. Breakfast is very good, did not have an evening meal but looked really good. 
 
The location is fantastic with a short walk you are in the heart of Whitby. Would definitely recommend Saxonville for a stay (long or short) in Whitby.

Weekend in Whitby

We stayed under difficult circumstances as we were at a friends funeral. The staff in hotel were professional, curtious, friendly and very helpful throughout. The staff represented the owners to a very high standard, great to be made feel special. Cleanliness exceptional in the room and throughout the hotel. The food was also really good, fresh sandwhiches to die for. The breakfast was amazing (large!) and really sets you up for the day. Wifi throughout and no issues. When we considered anything poor - we couldn't think of anything. We'll be back in the summer for longer stay and had to write a positive review particularly because of the staff's attention to detail and helpfulness. It was great! James & Alison

Excellent Throughout - Staff Exceptional

Enjoyed an excellent stay at the Saxonville Hotel. Pleasant welcome on arrival and lovely comfortable room. Everywhere was spotless and tastefully decorated in a traditional style to match the history of the property. Good choice of breakfast menu - food nicely presented by helpful staff. Would definitely recommend to family and friends. Hope to return when next in Whitby.

Enjoyable stay

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely overnight stay at the Saxonville Hotel. The room was warm, comfortable and spotless, as was the rest of the hotel. The cooked breakfast was superb in an extremely pleasant dining area; white tablecloth, silverware and fresh white crockery. The waiting staff were very friendly and polite, and the Taylor’s of Harrogate freshly brewed pot of tea simply made it! Thank you, we would definitely recommend.

Super stay at the Saxonville

We booked a last minute one night stay for the Krampus Run. Car parking available, would be which is always a bonus. We received a warm welcome and knowing I am vegan (informed at the point of booking) was offered soya milk for the room. Although the decor could be described as somewhat old fashioned and dated by some everything was in tip top condition, well maintained and scrupulously clean throughout. Wanted for nothing in our room which was warm and cosy. It's table service at breakfast and staff were very polite, attentive and professional. There was a really good selection of fayre to choose from for every dietary need. A really fantastic start to the day. Excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend. 

A gem of a place

This is our second visit to the Saxonville and as like before. We were made to feel very special.  Like a book with a dull colour at first glance. Then the magical experience begins to unveil. We've found a hidden gem by accident.  The hotel is absolutely spotless,  spacious rooms, extremely hot water when taking bath/shower. Free parking. Breakfast to die for and the evening meals are absolutely bang on. I'd personally highly recommend the Pheasant.  Special thanks to the night porter Joe who like our previous visit made us sandwiches and drinks at daft O'clock. Just what you need when back from fishing and a very special thanks to the wonderful Allison and forgetting Amy, Shannon and the rest of the staff who once again made our stay amazing. Fabulous Little Hidden Gem

Excellent hotel enjoyed the stay. Breakfast was outstanding, staff were excellent, room was clean and tidy, shower was very good. Would very much recommend. Would definitely go back couldn't find anything to complain about.

Short stay at the Saxonville

Wanted a break for a short stay and this place is a gem spotless comfortable and friendly we didn't have the evening meal as we wanted to go into town, however the breakfast was great very friendly and very efficient staff will stay here again.

Fabulous hotel! First impression looks very dated as in older generation decor.
Don’t be put off as its one of the lovely places Iv stayed in. Spotlessly clean, plenty of room. 
Location ideal not far from sea front.
Staff all very helpful.

Cleanest hotel i have ever visited!!

A two night stay whilst attending the Whitby Regatta Weekend as a solo traveller.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Saxonville.

What a fantastic family owned hotel, everything was spot on, the reception desk staff very friendly, welcoming and efficient.

Saxonville has a very traditional English seaside hotel feel, which is such a welcome change.

My single room (Room 4) was lovely, spotlessly clean, and comfortable.
It had all the space I needed. A nice comfortable bed, firm but perfect for me. Complimentary 
tea & coffee provided, fresh milk available upon request. The bathroom was also very clean, with the added addition of a bath, superb shower pressure, plenty of very hot water and complimentary shower gel products etc... provided. With daily room servicing.

There was a very good choice for breakfast (full at table service) alongside the option of a traditional full Yorkshire cooked breakfast that would set you up for the day. 

The additional option of an evening dinner menu (changed daily) with a varied menu and food quality worthy of at least 4 stars! Full table d'hote service, and reasonably priced. The restaurant staff were friendly, efficient, and attentive and couldn’t do enough for you. It felt a bit like stepping back in time, but to all the lovely touches that seem to have got a bit lost along the way in today's modern society.

The hotel is a 5-minute walk away from the Whale Bone Arch. Very close to the beach approximately 
a 15-minute walk into the centre of Whitby, situated in a nice quiet side street close to the West Cliff Beach. The hotel has its own small private car park available on a first come basis, which was a godsend for my stay during Whitby Regatta Weekend.

The location is perfect, and the incredible views just a short stroll around the corner from the hotel are fantastic.

I really enjoyed this hotel, very peaceful, spotlessly clean, and lovely, friendly staff.

The staff make this hotel, lovely personalities, excellent service, well done everyone at Saxonville.

The hotel was very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend this hotel, and I look forward to staying here again upon my next visit to Whitby.
