Recently stayed here on a recommendation and goodness it did not disappoint. The rooms were beautiful, the staff excellent and attentive the food was delicious and beautifully presented. A lovely place to stay, we will definitely be back!

Beautiful place to stay and dine

This was our first time at The Fox and Hound and certainly won’t be the last. I went with my Daughter and little chihuahua for two nights as someone had recommended it to us. On arrival we were met by a lovely lady called Amanda who welcomed us and showed us to our lovely clean room. It was a dog friendly room and honestly you wouldn’t have known that they had had a dog in previously as everything was pristine. We had booked in for dinner the same evening. We were met by Anastasia who welcomed us and took our order. We both ordered the Ham Hock Terrine for starters. It was really beautiful how the Chef had served it. We knew we were onto a winner. You could just see how the Chef had prepared it with love and dedication. We then had the Chateaubriand to share and again it was cooked to perfection. For pudding my Daughter had the Banana Soufflé which she said was better than The Ritz. I had the Caramelised White Chocolate Mousse and again the presentation and the taste was lovely. We finished off with a Amaretto liqueur coffee. Anastasia looked after us and came and checked with us to see if everything was ok. The next day we were met with Helen who was a breath of fresh air. Not too intrusive but obviously very good at her job. We both went for the English Breakfast and once again it was delicious. The sausage tasted good as did the bacon. Everything was really good. We have booked to go back in August after having such a lovely stay.

Amazing stay

Absolutely amazing place we stayed for one night for the wife's birthday. We had one of the cheaper rooms that was beautiful spotlessly clean, lovely bed and a bathroom was perfect, now to the food what can i say truly amazing we ate off the al a carte menu we both started with the scallops followed by I had the pork lion and black pudding dish and wife had the cod lion dish both where out of this world, we both was full but I had to try the banana souffle again absolutely delicious than you for a lovely evening we'll be back later in the year 

Absolutely scrumptious 

We’ve stayed a couple of times before & the standards we enjoyed previously have not diminished.  A warm welcome & our room was again well appointed & spotlessly clean.  With it being early spring the bar and restaurant weren’t busy and the staff couldn’t do enough for you to make you feel valued. The prices in the bar we didn’t find extortionate with a pint of Black Sheep & large white wine being around £13.  The meals were quality .. the breakfast range & presentation spot on and the evening meals of a high standard with really good produce.   Thanks to all the staff -  even if you’re not mentioned you should be proud of the service you provide.  Alex, Amanda, Nathan, the chefs & all the cleaning crew thank you.  Sorry we missed you Helen.

Super Stay - Quality & Friendly

What a jewel of a place. So welcoming and the rooms  are amazing and spotless. Food was absolutely amazing food ,the quality and presentation was top class, Lovely waiting staff could not fault a thing and will be back . Thank you all so much we loved our stay with you

Fantastic Place

We had the most wonderful stay at the fox and hounds for my birthday weekend. The rooms are amazing, beds are comfortable and they are dog friendly. The food is outstanding, I had the best banana soufflés I have ever had. Compliments to the chef. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They are attentive and proffesional and you can tell they really care about their job/the hotel and guests. 
The one and only thing I would say is that it would be excellent if there was a couple more vegetation options on the menu. This is only a suggestion as a way to make the hotel even better. We will certainly be returning. Thankyou.

The perfect stay

Food was excellent and catered well for two vegetarians. Absolutely  amazing Banana soufflé -Really relaxed environment and great service from  Helen.  Meeting George the bulldog was also a highlight!



Wonderful food in relaxed environment

This is a truly excellent Inn.
More like a 5star Boutique Hotel.
Full of character with a lovely bar and lounge.
Also a lovely residents lounge and dining room.
Apart from the dining room one can eat in lounge by the bar or in the beautiful garden.
Our room was perfect and was set in the garden with table and chair outside.
Everything in the room was perfectly designed from the very comfortable super king size bed and the large bathroom with walk in shower to the plentiful powers points in practical positions.
All the staff are very friendly and really seem to enjoy working at the F & H.
The village of Sinnington is also beautiful with a lot of history.

A fabulous 2 evenings stay

Absolutely amazing food and service, loved everything, the gorgeous atmosphere and setting fabulous staff and a big thank you to Helen who was so helpful and willing, I would highly recommend this restaurant.
The Fish cookery was excellent and we didn’t feel over faced,the portions where just right ! Really really gorgeous, thanks again.

A rare find!

What a fantastic place to stay! The decor is top notch and the service is amazing, Breakfast was great and the dinner menu superb.
A great base for the moors and not far from anywhere yet perfectly peaceful.
Would highly recommend and will certainly be staying again.
Pretty much everyone we spoke to during our stay had stayed there previously, always a high recommendation.
Brilliant work to the whole team, keep it up.
