We went it for breakfast to set us up for the day as we love a spoons and know they are good valve for money, however our breakfast was awful, burnt egg, cold toast, beans which tasted bitter, bacon that hadn’t even seen the pan. I will never have a spoons breakfast again.

expensive for what you get,blow heater air -con not efficient and noisy.cheap bed linen could of been cleaner,very small tv,couldnt get the shower temp right,door wouldnt lock had to go to reception,overall i wouldnt stay again but location excellant

Just popped in for pub grub and a drink. Excellent service, great staff, perfect location. Great choice of reasonably priced drinks and food. Nice to know the food hygiene rating is excellent too. Not pretensions, what you see is what you get 👍

Disgusting Service, treatment, went there 14 November this year, sat on a chair and a wood splinter went through my trousers cut my leg, Manager was only concerned at removing the chair, no apology and received no compensation to damage from  to my trousers only wanted £20 back paid for trousers that's all, sent receipt paid for them as purchased them week earlier still not heard anything from Manager, ( spoke to someone called Thomas)who asked for receipt) . Overall poor service treatment especially when I spent a lot of money in that pub during the week and needless to say won't be going back spending another 1p there ever again.

This was a nice place but the girl bouncer with greenish hair spoilt it. She kept the outside door open when it was blowing a gale. A table near us was laughing and she told them to be quiet. Is it not a nice sound laughter. They were mature couples who left because of her and so did we. Choose your security staff better. The young lad was lovely polite and always smiling.

The hotel / pub is located overlooking Whitby harbour the bars are located over two floors the service was good. I ordered food and it arrived quick at times during the day the bar gets filled so finding a ground floor table if you are disabled was hard.

Lovely staff, quick service and really clean premises. The staff are like lightening clearing and cleaning down tables, one of the most efficient establishments I've ever had the pleasure to visit.

We have spent a lot our time in here during our long weekend in Whitby. Decent food and drinks, along with the usual great prices we have come to enjoy from Wetherspoons.

After seeing the reviews and prices at other pubs and restaurants, we were very happy to spend so much of our time in the Angel Hotel.

Again, another big thank you to the friendly staff for running the place like clockwork. 😊

Great for drinkers and non drinkers alike, good food, reasonable prices, for the non drinkers refillable coffee unlimited £1.45, for the drinkers beer cheaper than in the main restaurants, a round for two one coffee as above and a pint under £5.

Great location, excellent value. Clean tidy rooms. Cheap beer and good food. Wouldn't hesitate to book again. A lot of thought put into the rooms. Every thing you need to enjoy your stay. Car parking is an issue as they don't supply scratch cards for local parking. I can live with that though.

The pillows were the flattest pillows I've ever slept on. The mattress was so hard and uncomfortable. Could feel springs on my ribs when I was laying on my side. I barely had 4hours sleep a night we were there for 2nights. The room was freezing cold. The heating system didn't really heat up the room. And their was a draft coming through windows to, which being February wasn't a warm draft. So did not have a pleasant experience on the night time. 

The staff however were absolutely lovely. From checking us in and out. To the staff who worked in the restaurant. Very friendly and welcoming. 

Overall experience was great, just need to have better quality pillows and mattress
