I stayed at Premier Inn Whitstable Hotel just a day ago with my family  ...close to Kent University, Hotel is situated in a calm and quiet place.... helpful staff..Esp Night Receptionist..and a very short notice they arranged to us close two rooms.Family atmosphere...Good prices, Service is better..In my experience. I recommend it to my friends

Good Hotel in Decent price in Area

Welcoming reception staff, clean, warm room, as expected from Premier Inn. At breakfast, some plastic fell on hot ring in the plate warmer. This gave off smoke, smell and set off the fire alarm. One of the breakfast staff quickly, very efficiently and without fuss dealt with the situation admirably, returning everything to normal within minutes. Well done this lady.
All staff were so friendly and unhurried. Thank you

When we arrived we turned up at 1pm, the receptionist said our room was ready but charged me an early arrival fee baring in mid. The room was ready already so why they decided to charge me for turning up early for a room that was already ready and done is beyond me.

When we was in the room we only dropped our stuff off as we had to attend my grandads funeral so we didn’t have time to check the room properly. 
When we came back we was able to check the room, there was cobwebs in the ceiling areas, body hair in our bed. I didn’t complain to the staff who then switch our room for us going from number 17 to room 3. They provided complementary breakfast which I’m still awaiting the refund for as I already paid for it.

During the night it wasn’t a great sleep, the bed was not as comforts previous stays I have had in the past, we also think we had children staying above us or next to us as we had constant banging and running noises from 9pm up until 1am in the morning so me and my partner had hardly any sleep. 

I was told by reception they do hourly walks but this I think is not enough, or if they even bother and the loud bangs and thuds happened every 10mins or so.

I was very disappointed with my stay overall and will be looking at a travel lodge next time. 

Stay at Whitstable premier in.

Even though our hotel room was ready the hotel wanted additional payment to check in less than 1hr before checkin time. We arrived just after 2pm and we were met with a very stern no unless we were willing to pay. 

The hotel offers cleaning when staying more than one day. We requested this on 2nd day and this was not done. We had the request additional towels from reception.  The old ones were not collected. 

Very basic hotel

Great base to explore Whitstable and surrounding area. 30 min walk into Whitstable however bus stop outside which takes 10 mins and also to Canterbury in 30 mins. Clean rooms with extremely helpful staff, can’t fault for price. 

Great location with friendly staff

Arrived and the litter bin outside reception was overflowing with rubbish blowing around. Given room 100! Only one set of towels despite the room being booked for 2. The toilet in this room is a macerating toilet and not fit for purpose and the shower is over the bath and poor. Breakfast at The Beefeater was good but the previous evening we were given the subtle hint to leave when they started vacuuming the carpet around us.

First apologies to reviewer Richard as it was us who were given your prebooked adjoining accessible room as our room opposite which I assume your elderly mum was given stank of drains and was frankly terrible. However you dodged another bullet as our alternative room had toenails, dirty tissue and cutlery on carpet. We descaled the kettle ourself as it was grim. The bathroom was a disgrace see pics. The? Duty Manager needs to find a different job as her people skills were nil. The place was dirty, poorly maintained snd accessible rooms were a long walk through heavy manual firedoors up a slope. Bathroom was like something out of an old hosoital and flooring cruchy as separated from base in shower dip. Bed was twins pushed together with ridge and mattresses very worn and uncomfortable. Sons room 111 had black mould on ceiling. This hotel needs complete overhaul. We complained through customer service and in fairness without quibble got 2 nights of our room refunded but it spoilt a much needed post surgery break away. These hotel chains post 'Covid' have slumped in standards dramatically. 

Spoilt holiday. Hotel needs a serious overhaul. 

Be warned, if you are staying with someone who is disabled with dementia and some mobility issues don’t bother.  We did not have a good night sleep having to check on my mother after they gave away our pre-arranged interconnecting room. Good night guarantee misleading at best. Also path to breakfast would not pass health and safety.

Don’t trust pre-arrangements with their hotels

As a disabled person we needed an accessible room with a wet room. The room provided had a strong smell of drains when we arrived but we thought it might go overnight. In the morning we had a shower and found the shower floor was soft and disintergrating and as the water drained away the the smell became unbearable and we had to vacate the room. We were put into a normal room with a bath we could not get into. This second room was not very clean but it did not smell. the bath although we did not use it had not been cleaned since the last user.

Disappointing

Warm, welcoming and friendly staff. Great location with free parking. Only 8 minutes drive away from Whitstable. We did the neighbouring Beefeater breakfast deal which was excellent value. Cannot praise the staff highly enough from meeting and greeting at reception to staff all over the hotel. How many hotels can say that? Lovely clean rooms and very comfortable beds. Great touch to have tea and coffee facilities in the room after a long drive. Thank you. We will back.
