I would highly recommend the Frasers Guest House to anyone. My husband and I needed a  break away and I am so pleased to have found this Guest House. We stayed in a garden room and it was perfect for our quite time away. breakfast was delicious and I can't wait to go again.

Perfect re-treat

Very comfortable and clean in a good location. Georgie offers an excellent breakfast menu, I had the full English which didn’t disappoint, my wife had an egg Benedict which she described as the best she’d had.
Everything is prepared fresh, cooked and served by Georgie.
We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again

An excellent two night stay

We held our Wedding in the Marquee and booked all six rooms at the guesthouse.  

Frasers Marquee - from the moment we met Frankie, we knew we were in good hands, she thought of everything, was great at communicating with us, offering suggestions and offering to put us in contact with suppliers if we had not already had something arranged and we had the most amazing wedding reception at Frasers Marquee.  We had plenty of positive comments about the quality and quantity of the food (we went for the BBQ option with a buffet later on) and the marquee is a great space to have a party, very little decoration needed as it is very pretty already with the silk lining, fairy lights, chandeliers and dancefloor.  There is a garden right outside with plenty of tables, a huge oak tree with rope swings that the kids loved and down the steps is another garden with lots of ornaments and statues which provided a great backdrop to some of our wedding photos.  

Frasers Guesthouse - we stayed in the Mexican Room but family stayed in the other 5 rooms and we all said the same thing: clean and comfortable, lovely fluffy pillows and duvet and really good value.  There was a basket with towels and water as well as tea, coffee and biscuits in the room.  The team had also left us a card and a bottle of champagne which was a lovely touch.  We slept well after our wedding and in the morning went downstairs where Georgie met us and made the most delicious cooked breakfast.  There was juice available in the dining room and tea and coffee came quickly.  We all had the full english which was made with lovely fresh produce and there was no problem swapping out some items for my daughter who doesn't like bacon!  

The staff at the marquee and the guesthouse were lovely, with nothing too much trouble.  I would highly recommend both the marquee for an event and the guesthouse for a comfortable night stay and lovely breakfast.

Review for Marquee and Guest House

We stayed in a room behind the main house, it was small but very nicely decorated and had everything we needed. The bathroom was a mix of brilliant - the shower was very powerful and poor - it was in need of a bit of attention. A bit hit and miss as to whether the room was serviced completely. 
The breakfast menu was very good and it was served quickly.  
The garden was a bit of a mess and could be lovely with a bit of attention. 
The owners were friendly.

A good place to stay

Stayed here for two nights with my family attending a wedding near by. We had four rooms two in the main house and two in the stables out the back, all lovely. Made to feel very welcome 🤗 breakfast was delicious. Customer service was amazing 🤩 Visit to the antique village next door worth a visit. Would definitely return again.

Just  wonderful

Lovely B & B - good breakfast nothing too much trouble. Great rooms lots of space would stay there again when in the area. We stayed for a couple of days had lovely time. They do afternoon tea which looked good even though we never had one.

Great place to stay

Winner of 4 in a bed only recently you tend to get a feeling you are going to be on safe ground.
Frasers is smack in the middle of Antiques city which we found delightful.
You can spend hours mooching around in and out of every conceivable warren of shops within shops.
Thirsty there is a Micro brewery where you can while away the time people watching.
Frasers itself is timeless. The garden doubles as seating for afternoon teas, sandwiches and cakes.
Georgie is what we call in the Eastend " Different Gravy" always has a smIle, happy to chat and nothing too much trouble.
You have rooms inside the main house plus a couple separate in the garden.
Our garden room was all that you want for a short stay, Tea Coffee Towels Toiletries TV.
Overall a truly delightful stay. Go on try it yourself. I dare you.

One NOT to miss. Hidden Gem

Fabulous - such care & attention to detail from Georgie - can’t wait to come back again soon. We were made to feel some welcome & nothing was too much trouble for Georgie. Breakfast was delicious & plentiful. Such an amazing location for meandering around the quirky little
Antique shops & picking up some little gems.

What a charming place. Nice rooms. Lovely fresh cooked breakfast, even had double yolk eggs! Nothing too much trouble for the staff.  Lovely garden. Definitely worth a stay.  Right next to battlesbridge antiques centre.

Our stay

Lovely room - comfortable, spacious, well equipped, quiet. warm welcome, excellent breakfast - good for me as a vegetarian - a delightful place to stay overnight in the lovely village of Battlesbridge. I would gladly return if I’m travelling to the area again.
