Very quiet ,which is a HUGE BONUS!!!!..
Parking very easy with permit.
We both felt that winchester has a very good feel to it.
And we were very happy in our room.nice hot shower and beautiful white towels. 
Just a b is very close to winchester. All very walkable.lots too see .

Super!.

We had a major issue with trying to access the property. We should have been sent a code for the key box, we tried using the ‘confirmation pin’ from the booking.com details, which didn’t work, we tried calling the owner, his voicemail directed us to booking.com, we couldn’t find a phone number for them - only an email and they have never responded, but then what good is an email in this situation anyway?! We knocked on the door of the upstairs property and, thank goodness, a lady answered and, though English wasn’t her first language, we were able to understand each other enough for her to be able to release the key box and let us into the property. 
The property was very clean but there was a distinct smell of damp - a humidifier had been left on. And the bed is a modified bedframe which slopes badly and didn’t make for a good nights sleep after a long drive.  
The property was in a great location but, although we were provided with a parking permit, you cannot pull up outside the property to unload and we couldn’t always get parked that near. 
But the property is reasonably priced for the location.

Disappointing

Very cosy double room with ensuite. The host  Bill, was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Brilliant location just a few minutes walk from the High Street, with its many old pubs, restaurants and shops. Less than 3 minutes walk from a beautiful traditional old pub called The Mucky Duck. Definitely worth a visit if you're staying here. 

Few days in Winchester 

Used Just a B for a meet up with a good friend. Had a great nights sleep, although on a main road, it was so quiet. The room was spotless, good quality towels and a really snuggly duvet. Fresh milk and granola bars provided. We were near to both the station and the restaurants at the top end of the centre of Winchester. We'd booked Prezzo fir dinner so was only a 10 minute walk más. We went to Greens fir drinks after and was so easy to walk back to Just a B after. Would recommend.

Great base for our 24 hours of fun

This property is ideal if you do not want to stay in a big hotel. A basement room which is clean and tidy and a very comfortable bed. Ideally a slightly larger bed would have been ideal but when your a big chap super kings are always an advantage. Penny contacted us by email and text with a great deal of efficency. The property was easy to find and exceptional value. We even had a couple of twix choclate bars left to enjoy with morning coffee.

Little Gem

Stayed one night at this venue, very kindly Penny allowed us to use the parking permit as it was free, so we were able to park up use the permit a little earlier than check in and explore for the day. The facilities are perfect, lovely bathroom, tv, fridge, very warm and comfortable room (I was worried as it was very cold, but it was perfect temperature), milk, tea/coffee, sugar, water and snacks. Towels available and guidance for the area. We had breakfast about a 5min walk at Josie’s which was nice. Definitely would use it again about 10-15 minutes walk to the shops and lots of restaurants, sights etc.

Great location 

This is a really great place to stay within easy walking distance from the city centre (even for a 70 something year old!).
There is only one room which is in the basement of the owner’s home. In the recent hot weather it was beautifully cool. I would imagine in cooler times it would be really cosy. Parking in the centre of Winchester is impossible/very expensive. This establishment provides free parking nearby by a permit. Owners really welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended. Only complaint is no bottle opener provided. Lost a cold bottle of beer as a result!

Interesting B&B without breakfast

Just coming to the end of our 3 night stay here and have to say that we’re really chuffed to have found Just a B!  Although it’s a basement room, it’s lovely, bright, spacious and airy and has been really well furnished.  Comes with a handy little fridge (with milk!) as well as decent kettle, mugs and plenty of tea and coffee, as well as some Twix bars!  Room is serviced every day and is immaculately clean.  Really well located...just a short walk - 10 mins at the most - to the centre of Winchester, with a good host of places to eat and drink within 5 mins walk.  We particularly enjoyed Josie’s for breakfast and The King Alfred for a really good pub supper.  Great value stay and happy to thoroughly recommend.

Basement Brilliance!

My husband and I stayed her for 1 night. 
We were attending a wedding. 

The apartment is underneath the owners house. 
There is a double bed, a tv, chest of drawers, desk and hanging rail with hangers. There is also a little hairdryer which isn’t very good so if it matters how your hair looks bring your own. There is a fridge. 

Shower room is modern and the shower is powerful and good quality. 

Nice to have quite a lot of tea and coffee provided and milk in the fridge. We were also given two snack size twixs which was nice. 

Parking permit is provided by the accommodation which is great as you don’t have to pay for parking which can be an issue in Winchester. 

Very close to two pubs, one being the Mucky Duck that we often meet up with old friends at when one of the group is getting married or we are all visiting family in the area for Christmas etc. Nice pub, I’ve only ever drunk here and never eaten.

There is a small Co-op up the road. The apartment is very close to Winchester centre and all the shops, Theatre, restaurants, leisure centre etc etc.

Easy to access the key if the owners aren’t available. Communication was good and all our needs were met. Would recommend and use again. All in all a good stay! 

Simple, clean accommodation 

Near city centre with on street parking close by (permit arranged by Penny). We stayed in the first floor Suite which was beautifully and thoughtfully modernised by the owners. Lounge and bedroom (with spacious en suite with lovely, fluffy towels). We were there in December and all rooms were delightfully warm!
