We stayed one night here and found it very comfortable. The room (at the front of the house) was clean and nicely decorated with a standard double bed. We loved the fact that breakfast was served in our room and listened the birds singing though the open window as we ate. Breakfast was very well cooked too, very yummy with nice filter coffee. Will definitely stay again if we ever need to stay in the area. Highly recommended.

Lovely Nights Stay

I was immediately impressed by the room and facilities.  Everything was spotless and well thought out.
The breakfast was delivered exactly at the time requested and was delicious.
Would thoroughly recommend this as a resting place.
The only suggestion i would make is not to go up the hill to rejoin the main road when leaving but to go down through the village.
I sat at the junction for several minutes and was unable to see anything of the main road I had to turn on to, scary!!

Great place to stay in Twyford

Looking for a village, north of Southampton with a country pub and decided on Twyford. Not many hotels locally but a well rated B&B and so we arrived on Saturday evening and were greeted by the friendly landlady, Mrs Flemons.

Ordered our breakfast, picked a time for delivery and off we went to the pub, perfect.

Our room was decorated with paintings by Mrs Flemons' husband and a few of her own. Dare I say the owl overlooking the facilities in the bathroom was by.....no I daren't.

Twin room, overlooking the quirky garden and with the windows open, the sound of a few planes overhead. Really not a problem. Usual facilities, short of nothing. Shower is more of a spray but again, really not an issue.

Breakfast served in the room at 8 as promised; good cafetière, juice and a really good quality breakfast. Not sure how it was all delivered upstairs on one tray.

A little oasis, close to the M3

Had a lovely stay here in most regards. Twyford is a beautiful village, the landlady was absolutely courteous and professional, the breakfast delicious, the room lovely and well priced.

Unfortunately, I was staying on a weeknight and on the morning I was woken not long after 6 am by the sound of a car on the road outside, which is loose chippings rather than tarmac. Sadly this was followed not long after by what sounded like a Harley Davidson (although quite honestly it might as well have been a pneumatic drill for the amount of racket it was causing before it's inconsiderate owner departed, quite some time after starting their engine).

As the morning went on the noise of aircraft became apparent, Twyford alas finds itself under the flight path for Southampton airport.

I'm sure none of this would have been a problem visiting in winter with the windows shut but alas in summer it meant I found myself awake rather earlier than I had planned!

Perhaps some disposable earplugs could be offered in the room? Certainly I'd want to bring some if I had occasion to return.

The only other quirk was the heated towel rail was right next to the toilet and unpleasantly hot to the touch - and it wasn't clear how to turn it off! Perhaps a label for the switch (which I think I found!)

Really want to give them five stars!

Finally decided to visit the Christmas markets in Winchester this year and thought we would make a weekend of it; quite by accident we came across this cozy little place, in the lovely village of Twyford, and only 3 miles from Winchester with excellent bus links into the city centre. 

We can't sing the praises of this wonderful place enough; the room we had was warm, comfy and inviting, well furnished, tastefully decorated and contained everything we needed for the weekend, a real home away from home.

A wide selection of breakfast were available which was served in our room, which we really enjoyed being able to take our time over as we discussed our plans for the day.

Our host was warm, friendly, and welcoming, was always available to help or answer questions about the local area, nothing was too much for her.

A cozy little place at a very reasonable price with Wifi available; would happily recommend to all without reservation.

Needed a room for a last minute family occasion. Luck was in as there was a room at this quirky B&B house following a cancellation. Own door to outside made it very easy. Breakfast well up to standard - lovely flowery lady runs it.
Will be back here the next time for sure.

Last minute gem

Excellent little B and B in nice little village. Rooms comfy.

Free WiFi and parking.

Breakfast served in room at time requested using quality ingredients and very relaxing having breakfast in room at a table.

Two restaurants within walking distance, one typical bar food the other a bit more expensive. We used pub food and not disappointed service and food good, very popular as car park pretty full. 

Ladies be warned no hairdryer in room!

Quirky B and B, 

We've used Orchard House before, so this was a return visit and we knew it would be excellent. The owner is charming, accommodation very comfortable, and the breakfast excellent.   We stayed in the room with direct access to outside but I'm sure the other rooms are just as good.
