Just spent a weekend here with my wife. We stayed in room 2. It was a very spacious room with a round bed. There was also a Jacuzzi bath and a walk in waterfall shower. Everything you need for a relaxing weekend. The managers Kevin and Michelle couldn't do enough for us and the staff were very friendly and professional. The food was excellent and all locally sourced. The breakfast menu was quite extensive and the also cater for a food allergies. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning.

Weekend break

Recently stayed at the Applegarth hotel, all staff made you feel very welcome and nothing any trouble. Facilities very clean and great views from the room. The hotel itself is modern with a twist of character. Ideally located for getting around.. We had snow fall while there and hotel staff cleared around hotel visitors cars, Would highly recommend and will be returning.

Hotel is definitely 5 star and all staff were accomadating the decor of bar and restaurant is very classy, breakfast selection is excellent the accommodation was tastefully furnished I will definitely be returning.

Location is great and centrally located for getting around Wndermere.

The Apple resturant was excellent and is a must to try.

Another stay at our favourite hotel. Stayed in the Potter suite on the three nights for two offer. We've been here many times and love coming back. We always get a warm welcome from Alan and Suzanne & Kevin and Michelle. It was our first time treating ourselves to the new bar menu - and weren't disappointed!! My duck burger was honestly one of the best things i've ever tasted. My other half raved about his venison burger. Would heartily recommend the menu!  
The hotel has such a great ambience, it was ideal for getting away for a chilled pre-Christmas break. Restaurant service was faultless as always.
Can't wait to go back again!

Love the new bar menu!!

Arrived at midday and were looked after extremely well and given access to room early. Nothing but compliments as overall experience was amazing and staff were charming and knowledagable -  cant wait to return. 

Amazing 

Beautifully decorated hotel, building has some lovely features. The breakfast was very tasty and plentiful. We stayed in Deluxe room 3 cannot fault quality furnishings. The only down side was room and bathroom being very small. We stayed for 2 night's and don't know if it is standard practice or if our room had been overlooked but on return the first day there had been no housekeeping, Tea tray and water not replenished and room not tidied.

Short Break

Hotel is of a very high standard. Made to feel very welcome by owners and staff. All our needs were met. Its a very warn and cosy hotel and the food is first class. We would highly recommend staying here.

we’ve stayed at this hotel previously and we’re always greeted with a warm welcome by the manager, a beautiful room and setting just off the main streets of Windermere but within walking distance of the lake and hills if you can drag yourself away from the most comfortable mattress you’ll ever sleep on. food and service throughout stay was outstanding with any request big or small greeted with a smile and urgency. if you don’t try the eggs benedict you’re missing out! will be back.

ideal post festive period getaway

We've just returned from our second visit to Applegarth Villa and once again it absolutely surpassed our expectations. A lovely warm welcome and again our room was spectacular with beautiful views and an amazing jacuzzi bath. As we missed out last time we had our evening meal in the restaurant, I opted for the Homemade tagliatelle with extra chicken and the ratatouille with sticky toffee pudding for dessert and both were outstanding. For breakfast we had the eggs benedict which is hands down the tastiest breakfast I've ever had from the delicious Farrers coffee to the lovely friendly staff I couldn't recommend this hotel any higher. If you're thinking of staying here, DO IT!

Outstanding Hotel

The rooms are lovely, we have visited several times and have never been disappointed.
We have stayed in the Ultimate Luxury Room with Spa Bath, Luxury Room with Views, Superior Room and Deluxe Room. I'm sure at some point we will book the Luxury Suite.
The food has always been very good and the service incredible.
Lake Windermere is within walking distance, ideally located far enough away that the setting is peaceful and not too crowded.
