Fabulous guest house in the perfect spot, close enough to the lake & all the amenities & walks needed to make our stay perfect. Michelle was a very welcoming host. Our room was very clean & the room size was amazing. Would definitely recommend & stay here again.

second stay at the guest house in room 2 & as good as the first time. Very welcoming hosts, remembered us from last time. Rooms very very clean, bright, bed comfiest ive slept in. All amenities you need in room, kettle, tea/coffee ect. tv, wardrobe with hangers, seating area, en suite bathroom very modern & shower excellent. Booklet with all Bowness restaurant menus in. 5 minutes walk from shops, restaurants, pubs & about 10 to the lake. Definitely recommend Bowness Guest House.

Lovely couple and lovely hotel! Great value and spotlessly clean! Nothing too much trouble from ear buds to shower gel! Free parking too! It’s about a 7 min walk to the round about”if you know Bowness “.Would definitely stay again with our dog next time!

Home from home

Me and my friend stayed for 2 nights in the lovely , spacious bay room . The owners are very friendly and helpful , and the guest house is situated near to all the amenities . Ha a fab time , highly recommended .!!

Lovely place to stay

I would like to say a massive Thank You to Michelle & Bernard for giving us I believe the best to stay in the Lake District. Your hospitality was so welcoming and helpful in helping us find our way around Windermere. The guest house was absolutely stunning with modern amenities  you would need when visiting, we stayed in Room 1 which was a stunning room and modern design. One of the funniest weekends we have ever had. We will be visiting again in the near future. Keep up the amazing work as your house is beautiful and well kept.

Beautiful house & Perfect location

This guest house is just everything that we hoped for…it’s immaculate, the bedrooms are modern with a comfortable bed. The en suite was spotlessly clean. It’s not too far from bars and restaurants. There is no on site parking but plenty of free spaces to park on the road. I would definitely recommend staying here. Owners were very friendly and informative.

2 night stay for 2 of us. On-street parking close by. Rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable and tastefully decorated. Hosts were friendly and welcoming and gave recommendations for locally positioned bars and restaurants. Would definitely return for another stay.

Modern facilities in a great location

Bowness guest house

We checked in to this guesthouse today and are so happy with our choice! The dog-friendly room has its own parking space and exit directly onto the back, and our pooch is happily asleep in the bed provided and has enjoyed some snacks that are in the room. The room is very high quality, everything is spotless and seems new, and well thought out with everything we might need. This is much better than any other dog-friendly rooms we have stayed in. 
The hosts were very welcoming and recommended some lovely places. The location is perfect, in easy walking distance from the centre of Bowness and a place up the hill for an off-lead walk.

Fantastic, high quality, dog friendly room

A cosy , well decorated modern guest house in a traditional lakes stone building.

The rooms are newly decorated to a very high standard and are spotlessly clean.

There is a very large radiator in my room which speaks of the room being nice and toasty in the winter.

It’s an ideal base for exploring the Windermere area . 
There is no parking outside the Bowness Guest House but I had no trouble parking nearby after dropping off other people. 

Plenty of tea and coffee in the room.
Breakfast isn’t served but plenty of cafes nearby.
That’s great if you just want to get off early or on the other hand fancy a lie in and brunch later somewhere else 
Not a problem . 
The hosts recommended the nearby Westmorland Inn for an evening meal and it lived up to the recommendation 
It’s ideal for a short stay in the area - great value and highly recommended .
