Stayed for one night at a Wedding event, a bit surprised at the 175.00 pound room rate..it is a beautiful location just outside Eardisley, Herefordshire. But I have stayed at equally nice places and had dinner, bed and full english breakfast for these prices. 
Our room was very well presented, and the staff very friendly and helpful. There does not appear to be a reception desk, which made it difficult to find anyone to ask questions of. As there was no information regarding Wi Fi code in the room, I had to ask the young man behind the bar for this.
We had a problem with the shower in our room, it just produced exceedingly hot water, and the shower gel dispenser was virtually empty, but in fairness to the hotel proprietors..when pointed out, our bar bill was refunded.
But my main disappointment was the breakfast, having paid £175.00 for a room with "continental  breakfast", I would expect more than just a couple of bits of fruit...I.e. small piece of melon, quarter of orange and some tiny bits of banana and grapes..followed by a bacon bap.. and a small sweet pastry. 
I appreciate we are in difficult times with Covid and the limitations that follow that, but we have travelled quite extensively and this is by far the worst showing of a breakfast, for the money paid, that I have ever had.
In what are difficult times I feel Lemore Manor needs to offer value for money and not just rely on a beautiful location to extract high room rates and give mediocre value.

Not good value for the price paid...

First of all...if you are looking for square level modern double glazed rooms with all mod cons then go to the Premier Inn!!!!
I stayed here for two nights whilst fishing the River Wye and I absolutely loved it. I have all the mod cons I could wish for in Liverpool so a complete break from city life was my just reward and The Parliament Barn delivered in bucket loads. Don't lose sight that this is a converted barn and the building is years old. It is what it is and I could not fault it. My host was very helpful with everything allowing me to freeze my freeze bars for the cooler box and putting my packed lunch in her fridge overnight. The breakfast's were superb and I will definitely be going back hopefully before the end of September 20. There is a pub called the Sun Inn 1 minute across the road and a five minute drive is the Boat Pub set on the banks of the Wye. There is nothing not to love about the accommodation, the proprietors, the local pubs and the area. It is reminiscent of earlier days gone by were simple living was king. I would highly recommend the Parliament BArn B & N.

FANTASTIC COUNTRYSIDE ACCOMMODATION

Loved this truly unique bed and breakfast. Old historical building with all the qwerky bits like wonky floors and beams. Lovely bed and peaceful sleep. There are 2 bathrooms which are shared by the bedrooms but it didn’t cause any problems, bathrobes were provided . The rooms have their own toilet and sink.  It was lovely sitting with the other guests around the table in the big kitchen chatting whilst we were served a huge locally produced breakfast. Really felt homely. 

Unique Qwerky but fabulous bed and breakfast

Parliament Barn is everything you could want from a B&B. It is situated a short drive away from Hay-on-Wye, which is perfect for Hay Festival (a definite plus when trying to escape the traffic if travelling from a fair distance!). 

The hosts, David and Corrine couldn’t have been more welcoming and hospitable during our stay. We were initially concerned about the bathroom situation before arriving, but these fears were immediately dissolved upon seeing our room - which was about two steps away from the bathroom. We never had to wait, even early in the morning, and the facilities were always clean. 

Comments from previous reviews regarding cobwebs are understandable, however we didn’t really come across this issue - and the house, due to its age, is bound to attract some spiders. Our sheets and room were extremely clean, and beautifully decorated - you feel as though you’re sampling a little slice of history. Tea, coffee, a kettle, mugs and glasses are provided in the room. 

Anything we wanted was catered for, David and Corrine are both happy to get whatever you need (Even late at night!) - whether that’s replacing milk or mugs, you just need to ask. Not forgetting the dogs, Archie and Edith, who are comically adorable. We would definitely stay again!

A little taste of history 

There are many good features about the bed and breakfast at Parliament Barn: it is extremely well positioned for the Hay Festival with a short drive to the park & ride at Clyro or into Hay itself. The converted barn is a beautiful old building with a quaint appearance on the roadside and a pretty facade and garden when you find the main door at the back. Turn into Bakers Lane to find the gate and parking.
We had a warm welcome from Corinne and found David very friendly and chatty at breakfast time. Their home is full of art work, antique furniture, pottery, glass and even jewellery on display with ample magazine collections in the Stowe room where we stayed. The dogs Edith and Archie are equally charming. The cooked breakfasts were excellent with fresh fruit and everything else you would expect.
I was so thrilled to get accommodation for the festival having missed out last year  that I did not check any details beforehand already knowing its position on the main road in Winforton. No deposit was taken last year but the booking was kept for us at this busiest time of the year with just a phone call from me to confirm our ETA a few days before.
I was surprised when we arrived that, although our room had an en suite toilet and basin, the bathroom and shower room are down the landing and shared with two other rooms i.e. four other people. This never presented a problem as I chose to return in the late afternoon to shower hoping everyone else had done so in the morning or the night before. Robes and slippers are provided if you forget yours. I do not know if the other two rooms have en suite toilets or not but they are nearer the bathrooms.
The most unusual thing about this b & b is that there is no room service at all even if you stay four nights as we did. I don't know what would happen if you stayed a week or longer. Not only was the bed not made, as someone else mentioned, the bins were not emptied, the used glasses, mugs, cups and spoons were not washed, the biscuits and bottled water were not replenished...nothing. They do not like leaving longlife milk in the room (which is a good thing) but we did have to ask each day for a small jug of fresh milk in order to make tea and one afternoon it did go off as there is no fridge. My husband has stayed in many, much cheaper b & b establishments in pubs when on walking holidays and has never come across this anywhere else ever. We would have given four stars if the room had been attended to.
Finally, as other reviewers have mentioned, this is not modern accommodation and it was a little cobwebby in places so avoid if you are looking for a place in tiptop condition!

Friendly welcome by the river Wye

Well, maybe not that old as it is recently converted from its original purpose.  The location details made it difficult to find, use HR3 6EA and you will there.  A bigger sign would help. This is Avery tasteful remodelling even down to the sloping floors.  A shared  bathroom was no problem. Breakfast was excellent with a great variety on offer.  Might push it next time and ask for kippers!

Olde worlds  charm

My daughter and I stayed New Years Eve as we were visiting friends. The room is gorgeous with the most comfortable bed. The house is gorgeous and quirky and we had the most lovely welcome. I highly recommend staying here.

New Years Eve

We stayed for a couple of nights. Welcome from hosts and dogs friendly. We enjoyed staying in such an old place. It’s a beautifully decorated and quirky home, we were comfortable and warm. Good breakfast, cooked and cereals and a fresh fruit salad. You can take a walk down to the river Wye, host kindly offered wellies.
